This apartment was perfect in every way for our family of four + 2 dogs. It is right downtown Chamonix, close to a ski bus stop and many fantastic restaurants, including being right next door to the best burger place in town -Poco Loco.
Genâs flat is in a perfect location of Chamonix centre - very close to everything, including buses to take you to all the surrounding ski locations. The fireplace, view of Monte Blanc, and running river on the back patio were nice aesthetic accents. Weâll definitely return to Genâs flat next time.

Fantastic views
This property has fabulous views from the balcony over the river a great place to watch the sun set with a glass of wine. Although we visited out of season there was plenty to do we drove into switzerland and Italy and also got the train into Switzerland. The owners were friendly and helpful and recommended some really good restaurants and bars. Ourson and his girlfriend in their early twenties also loved it. We would love to return.

Gen and Rob were fabulous hosts for our family stay in Chamonix. Highlights of the apartment:
The central location to literally everything you would want to visit in Chamonix.
Everything you could wish for in the apartment was available.
The tranquil stream/river flowing by the apartment balcony in the view of Mont Blanc.
Fab stay. Fab hosts.
Big Thanks
Great comfortable apartment with a fantastic central location. Property managers were very easily accessible and solved an issue within an hour of contacting! Will definitely be staying here again.
My family and I had spent a wonderful week in Gen and Rob's apartment. We felt blessed to have arrived a day after the first snow falls of the season. The town was blanketed in snow and was drop droppingly beautiful. So our first stop after we had unpacked was to Snell sports (a 30 second walk from the apartment buildings front door) to hire waterproof walking boots. As the apartment building faces onto the pedestrian main street, everything we could need (or covet) was very close by. The apartment is at the back of the building and noise was not an issue. The changing view from the balcony, over the Arve river to Mt Blanc was an absolute delight to watch. The apartment is as in the website photos, and was clean and tidy on our arrival. The apartment ticked all our boxes; a functional kitchen, laundry facilities, 2 bedrooms (with single beds in the 2nd) and close to the town centre as we were without a car. I highly recommend this apartment, and would love to return again one day.
We are a family of 5 and spent 2 weeks in this stunning location during the summer. Friendly owners who made us most welcome. If you want a holiday and don't want to have to use a car, this is an ideal location as everything is in easy walking distance and to travel further there is excellent train and bus services. The apartment is spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Shopping, restaurants, cinema all near the apartment. Marvelous view of the mountains, what a great way to start the day, enjoying the view with a mug of coffee!
My son and I stayed here a couple years ago. It was absolutely fabulous. The views are incredible. The house is cozy and has everything you could possibly need. It's right in the center of town...perfect location with lots to do. And being right on the beautiful Arve River is just the best. We are definitely coming back, hopefully this summer.
The appartment is perfect: in the middle of Chamonix, but without feel people besides you. The sound of the river is the only noise you will hear.
Is incredible to stay on the terrace and see the river on your feet, and the Mont Blanc at the reach of your view.
It's strongly recomended.
it's beautiful, lovely and very, very complet (you can find in the house all that you need). from the balcony, the landscape is wonderful, the mont-blanc, the bossons, midi... it is in the center of chamonix, and there are a lot of shops near. my family and me enjoyed our holidays there. this year is the second time that w were in that house, and we were very happy there. it's a wonderful house.
We are an Anglophone couple who enjoy many mountain sports, including skiing, trail running, hiking, biking, climbing and mountaineering. We also run Alps Adventures hiking guiding service. We both speak fluent French and one of us speaks German.
We met in Chamonix in 2000 and moved here permanently in 2001. You can find Alps Adventures on Facebook !
This is a unique small stone building in Chamonix - around 300 years old and it was also our first home in Chamonix for two years while we renovated it.
We were attracted by the centre riverside location, the sense of having a quiet oasis in the busy town centre - close to everything yet private and hidden from noise. We also loved the intelligent room layout, the fireplace and the naturally insulated metre thick stone walls as well as the quality of the original construction.
We renovated the interior to add Italian tiles, ceiling lighting, replaced the old open fireplace with a more efficient closed glass door model, and replaced the old kitchen as well as adding a new WC and storage room with a large modern water heater to the back bathroom in 2017.
The unique location of our apartment at the river's edge, tucked behind a larger historic small building means that street noise is non-existent yet you retain all the advantages of being in town centre. The rooms are not sterile square bricks, but in a building with built with stone, wood and character.
It is an oasis of peace, and stays cool in summer thanks to the glacially fed river and original thick stone walls. The cast iron and glass fireplace also serves to ecologically heat the apartment while being better for the environment than an open fireplace.
