Great place for a family of 3-4. Clean. Everything you need in the kitchen. Lots of comfy bedding and sheets. Super close to bus stop. Perfect spot for a trip to Park City.
Easy to find
Could use more handicap parking
Could use handicap bar in bath tub
Enjoyed the overall space
We cooked many meals in the kitchen and enjoyed it
Great location for catching free bus to the mountain. Unit is a bit dated but very comfortable for 2 people. TV remotes dont work well. Hot tub good but very hot. Overall good place to stay.
Condo was just as described in the listing. Nice unit. Well stocked. Perfect for a small group. Great location. Bus stop just out the door. Actually communicate with the owner, Jon, who was easy to work with. Would stay there again with a small group.
The studio had everything we needed for a great ski escape. Kitchen was well stocked. Free underground parking included. Park City bus stops located close by with easy access to PC mountain base, supermarket and Main Street.
Could walk or bicycle everywhere. Condo had good kitchen (for 2) so no need to always go out to eat. Host was very responsive to a need that developed. Carpet & external side of windows could use a deep clean though. We would definitely stay again because everything is quite convenient & very livable. Thanks!
Donât let the square footage steer you away from this one, we had 3 people andit was very roomy and very open. The bus stop was literally down the back flight of stairs and right outside the door with buses running every 20 minutes. It took about 10 minutes to get to the base of Park City Mountain, the trip back was about the same. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay convientely located in Park City
Overall it was OK. The pool was not in operation, and hasnât been for a while. A pool is important for my wife, we specifically look for pools when booking a stay. The only other thing I will mention is, make sure to bring your own TP, they only leave one roll for the whole week.
This is not a one bedroom condo. It is a studio. It is quite old and needs updating desperately! It smelled terrible when we opened the door and we had to leave the sliding door open the entire time we were there to be able to stand the air. The carpet is filthy! The tub has cracks in it so you donât know what is growing in there.
We were very dissatisfied, especially for how much we paid to stay there! I wish we had just gotten a hotel!
My sister & I were originally looking for a place downtown for a convention, but saw this condoâs listing. Our friends told us the drive was too far & traffic would be crazy. Wrong & wrong! Park City is just far enough away from all of the hustle of downtown to give you some quiet.
The Carriage House building itself is slightly dated, but we were pleasantly surprised to see that our room was just as gorgeous as the pictures. You have everything you need for your getaway; kitchen is stocked & bathroom has a hairdryer & plenty of toiletries.
Our only complaint was not about the condo itself, but the jacuzzi/hot tub. Unfortunately, the jets were not working & the water was around 80 degrees for the entirety of our stay. Otherwise, everything was absolutely perfect! I highly recommend & will look to book this very condo if we are ever able to return!
BEWARE $150 DOG CHARGE: People above us had a dog, and were annoyingly bouncing a ball across the floor on and off during the day. WE got charged the $150 pet fee, instead of our upstairs neighbor. Which is funny since my husband is highly allergic to anything with fur or feathers and was relieved when the building sign said "no pets". How do you prove you didn't bring a dog? I'm not paying for an allergy test to prove we don't have and never have had a dog! The booking wouldn't let us back in to dispute the charge, so we texted the owner directly and he ghosted us. Don't recommend booking from this owner.
However, if you can prove you don't have a pet and don't mind noise from the upstairs neighbor (floor is thin enough to hear voices, but not make out what they are saying) the place was clean and functional. It had a very "2nd home" vibe. For example there was a crack in the bathtub and the faucets were really dated and the kitchen table surface was really scratched. Our door code didn't work and the owner was really responsive and stayed on the line until it worked. (Code was suppose to work after 4pm, but it was after 5pm that it actually worked. Maybe a time difference thing?) There was hardly any toilet paper and we ran out the last morning and couldn't locate any in any of the cupboards or drawers so had to leave early the last day to find a bathroom. It was adequate, if you don't have noisy neighbors that weekend and don't mind paying for someone else's pet fee.
Not a bad place but a smoker had been there and it triggered my asthma
The unit was nice enough:âŠ.With one huge exception
⊠smoker(s) had been there very recently â earlier that day?...
âŠarrived at 4:10 PM, cleaners were still finishing up (and left at about 4:40)⊠Not a big deal but when able to enter the unit there was an overwhelming and powerful chemical smell of cleaners⊠Iâm not sure what kind but truly overwhelming and I had to open the windows and turn on the heat full bore toy make it tolerable.... (Btw I thought the cleaning fee seemed a bit steep!)
went shopping and 2-3 hours later I came back and the chemical smell had dissipated, mostly, but then I could smell the cigarette smoke.
I have asthma and the cigarette smoke triggered terrible coughing which I have still not been able to shake even though I have been to the doctor. I thought the cigarette smell would disappear and be totally OK⊠Obviously I was wrongâŠ
And furthermore, unfortunately somebody else in the building was also smoking and periodically there would be new whiffs of cigarette smoke in the unit...Oddly enough I never smelled cigarette smoke in the hallways (except once or twice some pot)⊠I have no exact idea who was responsible but I think it mightâve been the people in the unit right down below (though thatâs hard to track down so I might be wrong) as I think it came through the patio door and window or maybe even the heating unit exhaust vent.
I did mention it to unit owner (in message file) but I held off because wasnât completely sure whether it was dissipating or not⊠I thought it was still there a bit but it wasnât until my girlfriend arrived later that she walked in and instantly said âOh somebodyâs been smokingâ.
Renting is a pig in a poke and often times thereâs no management company on site to complain to where they might conceivably offer a different unit.
No suspicion that the unit owner did anything wrong intentionally, Though when I wrote him that there were cigarette smoke I did not get a prompt response. On other issues he had been very prompt which I appreciated. Nevertheless I didnât get what I paid for : a smoke free living unit
What would be fair & decent thing to do is for the unit owner to give me a discount from the total bill....Iâd suggest $500.00
Iâd also recommend that VRBO require every owner to install a cigarette smoke detector.
Could never rent there again.
Even there are signs clearly say âno smokingâ with heavy penalties there are obviously smokers about.
Itâs a bummer and learned my lesson.
The location was good to catch the busses to the mountain the red and yellow lines stope across pioneer drive about every ten minutes.
The unit was equiped with foils food wraps and spices..
Had issues with T.V. remote would not get cable tv chanels for the whole week..Jon tried to remotely fix it from the bay area,no luck, so went the Olympics broadcast..it would be nice to have a maintenice person on site. The bath tub could use replacement, jets dont work ,bottom cracked [look out below, drip, drip]
The unit met are needs.
Over all good stay.I would consider it again.
It was just as advertised. Bed, pullout, full kitchen .... with the shuttle route stop just outside the door. We came to ride the mountain and have a place to sleep and eat. Perfect.
perfect location for a ski week. condo had everything i needed, many restaurants in walking distance, covered parking is a plus too! would def stay here again.
Carriage House is great location with good access to bus lines, to Main Street, Park City and Ski Resorts. Owner is quick to respond to requests/questions and was considerate of our COVID concerns. Was comfortable for the two of us. Kitchen was well appointed and had the basic condiments to get started.
Please be aware that this is a studio apartment and not one bedroom. The listing was misleading. And while it is a good studio for 2 people or a family with small children it does not fit a family of 4 with grown kids.
Clean, cozy, well stocked kitchen. TV mount is cool, can face couch or bed. Right next to a bus stop to get you to the slopes or town. Upstairs neighbor not so considerate, walked around at all hours of the night, seemingly in combat boots. Could use better window covering, a lot of light (for me, I like it dark to sleep) from the streetlight gets through.
We are a San Francisco Bay Area family of four who fell in love with Utah for itsâ beautiful landscapes, itsâ many and HUGE snow resorts, and abundant year-round activities. We love skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking, and roller-coasters and have found that Utah offers just about everything that doesn't require an ocean.
We chose this property for it's location. The kids can hop on the free bus to get to the slopes in minutes, and we can walk to many wonderful Prospector dining options.
