Unfortunately what looked very nice online had several important problems: 2nd bedroom mattress had no support. Hot water was super fickle, tub had no stopper, ants were in the kitchen, the WiFi was down and our calls to the management company did not result into sufficient improvements.

Unfortunately, this property was an unacceptable accommodation during our three night stay. These include improper heating, no hot water to unit, and no power to unit our last evening whereas my husband had to call police assistance 911 as we could not reach anyone at the contact numbers or the email provided by VRBO and the property mgmt company. The temperature in Paris was 28 degrees F the evening of no power. We paid for operational accommodations and we did not receive them. We even contacted VRBO two of the three nights requesting assistance to which they did not provide and could not contact a VRBO supervisor as we requested. A horrifying nightmare! We have received no apology from the rental owner, property manager or VRBO. We have no option but to pursue alternate recourse on our own. After eighteen years of being a loyal VRBO user, this experience has changed that.

Unfortunately what looked like a lovely apartment on line, proved to have a few very serious issues which made our stay disappointing. The wi-fi was down for the first day, a crib we ordered didn't come with sheets (and was difficult to find in the apt), the hot water in the shower was super-fickle, there was no stopper for the tub (so it was hard to give our baby a bath), there were ants in the kitchen and the 2nd bedroom bed mattress zero support (you just sunk into the bed). Customer service fixed the wi-fi, but ignored the other concerns which were identified.

The location is just amazing and offers the retreat of quiet oasis! After hours and hours of exploring the magnificent city of Paris you will really appreciate this place to come home to. The glass ceiling brings the outdoor in, which is so nice weather it be sunny or rainy! We stayed in late Oct. so we needed the heat, and once it was turned on it was a really comfortable space. There are two full bathrooms but only one has a true shower, the other has a large soaking tub only. We had to share the shower with parents. The wifi is bad. There was no remedy for it. The host communication was good for the first day, they promised help with the Wifi but I guess really could not help, and pretty much ghosted us for the remainder of the stay. This definitely gave us an uncomfortable feeling, they activated a disappearing conversation ability on the whatsapp phone number they provided and whatever you texted disappeared within 24hrs. We called on the last day to make sure we purchased late check-out and they hung up on the call. They never picked up.The courtyards, the gates, the doors make this place feel really safe for a first floor location. Which is nice to have no elevators or stairs.The street itself is full of really yummy restaurants. Supermarkets, laundromats,(there washing machine is in a basement, no dryer.) The beds are cozy, The kitchen is decent, could use some lids. A shame they could not communicate better, because this place is really charming and quaint!

Family Dream Vacation

This was my first time using Vrbo and my first time visiting Paris.My family (7 of us) brought my mother in law to Paris for her dream visit. Our party was four adults, one senior and two children.We booked this location based on the location and the history of ratings several months in advance.It was like a tiny magical villa hidden away in the city! A gorgeous open kitchen with a sunbeam, a stunning floor to ceiling shower enough bathrooms and bedrooms to accommodate all of us.As a first time Vrbo user the check-in process was concerning. After the initial payment, I was contacted by email and the rest of the payments were conducted with two different websites: Checkmyguest and Belvilla.From my point of view, it honestly felt like a scam to give more money to soliciting websites. However after a lot of research I took a leap of faith and from there the entire process worked out exactly as the websites described:- a driver was arranged to take us from our arrival train to the venue- a set of instructions to access the villa keys past a set of keypad locks granted us entry- a .pdf behind the Checkmyguest account described everything necessary about the house (wifi, trash disposal, etc.)I would stay here again in a heartbeat.If I were to make the check-in process better I would be up-front in the Vrbo description about which websites would contact me after I paid on Vrbo.
