Just the BEST!! Our host Tom took such wonderful care of us- made sure we ate at the best restaurants & did all we had time for during our 3 day stay (way too short to do it all!) The home was so comfortable for our family of 5 - parents & 20 year old kids. Such a treat to relax in the garden after lots of walking. Oh the jasmine in bloom & smelled so good. Stay here if you want a great authentic Florentine experience - fabulous host, home & neighborhood. A wonderful escape from the tourist crowds. Stay here & make happy memories to take home!

Tom's apartment was gorgeous and has all one would need for an unforgettable experience! There was plenty of living space, natural light and privacy. Everything was in perfect condition! This is a beautiful apartment with a rooftop garden and seating area. The furnishings and artwork are first-rate, with framed Ferragamo scarves adorning the walls. The kitchen is well stocked. AC worked well. Water pressure and showers were very good. The best part of our stay was the owner, Tommaso. He was the most gracious and helpful owner we have ever worked with. He gave us numerous suggestions and has a beautifully written and complete guide to Florence for his guests. In addition, we would randomly pepper him with questions throughout the day regarding places to eat or visit, and he would respond immediately. His check-in is outstanding, and he attended to us as we departed. Just a heads-up: this is a walk-up; there is no lift. That being said, I would highly recommend this property in Florence.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Tommosso’s apartment in Florence. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome—personally touring us through the apartment and sharing the unique details that make the space so special.Tommosso’s hospitality truly stood out. He kindly helped us book lunches, dinners, and taxis throughout our stay, making everything seamless and stress-free. His warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care made a lasting impression and elevated our entire experience.The apartment itself is perfectly located on the quieter side of the river, which we loved. This apartment is a must stay if you come to Florence! From the artwork to the furnishings to the garden, it is the most unique and special experience. Tom was beyond helpful as a host, even making us dinner reservations and getting museum tickets. Definitely stay here!

Tom’s home was our favorite vacation rental ever. First, Tom was invested in ensuring any questions were answered and our trip went smoothly. He met us at check-in and educated us on things to do and how to navigate Florence. Second, his home was elegantly appointed with furnishings and modern fixtures and appliances including air conditioning and a washer/dryer. The private garden space was the perfect retreat to start and finish our day. Last, the location was ideal. Close enough to walk to all we wanted to see in Florence, yet nestled in a quiet neighborhood setting with a coffee shop and cafe a few doors down. Tom met us again at checkout and arranged transportation for us. If we find ourselves in Florence again, we will 100% stay here. Our experience was 10 out of 10!

This property simply was perfect. Spacious, well appointed with interesting art and furniture. A two story lovely garden that backs up to the ancient city wall. Location is great - short walks into city center yet not too chaotic. The host, Tom, was amazingly hands-on, engaging, helpful and communicative. Able to help without recommendations for just about anything. Can’t say anything negative - you do need to be able to do stairs.

Family vacation

Tomas is an enthusiastic, helpfully and accommodating host. Property is an easy walk to Florence sites, with plenty of food choices just down the street from the apartment. Minimal street noise at night.

Frankly this is one of the best experiences I have ever had with a VRBO and I have done over 20 in the states and abroad. Tommaso was remarkable welcoming us and saying goodbye. His house is well appointed with everything you could want in the kitchen, bath and living area. He provides recommended restaurants, sightseeing opportunities along with maps to all. The outdoor space in the middle of Florence in a gem. The San Niccolò district is wonderful with plenty of restaurants, shopping and entertainment close. Leave your worries behind and turn yourself over to Tommaso and his hospitality!

On my birthday, Tom went out of his way to leave his favorite snacks at the door for me. My expectations were exceeded beyond belief. We spent all of the time we could enjoying the gorgeous garden and serene home. It was hard to leave! Would not hesitate to book again.

Perfect spot In Florence

Accommodations were as described. Lovely property, great neighbourhood with terrific shops at your door step. The host was very attentive and provided white glove service. The location was close to all the action but without the noise and congestion. Would highly recommend.

Perfect but suitable only if you are ok with stairs

If you are ok with stairs (four flights of stairs to get from street into the apartment), you need to stop looking and book immediately - it is the perfect stay.The apartment is beautiful and exactly as shown - in a residential location just outside of the busy/noisy downtown, but only a 10min walk to downtown and a mere 2 min walk to Piazzale Michelangelo.The host (Tom) is even better than the already ideal place - he goes out of his way to help and pamper you but is not overbearing - just ideal.Don't overthink it - just book - highly recommend.

5 stars- perfectly impeccable! Our stay at the Florence Walled Garden could not have been more delightful. Tomasso met us upon check in and spent a great deal of time telling us about the neighborhood, all the features of the condo, and making sure we were settled in well. The condo was extremely clean- my friend and I both are very particular about that and we both agreed- so clean and tidy. The location is perfect- right across the river from the hustle and bustle- so close to everything, but the garden was a quiet, peaceful reprieve from the many people on the city side of the river. San Nicollo is a charming neighborhood with great places to eat and shop. Tomasso checked on us often- gave fantastic restaurant and tour recommendations. He brought us a plate of Delicious cookies from a special bakery, and gifted us with beautiful leather luggage tags from his favorite leather store. We had them painted with our monograms and of course bought other beautiful pieces from there as well (Parri’s Leather near the Ponte Vecchio). Tomasso made taxi reservations when needed- that was very helpful several times when our legs just needed a break! Overall we could not have been more pleased with our garden experience. There were fresh flowers blooming and every herb you could want to add to any meal. We appreciated having olive oil, coffee, and the basics on hand in the kitchen. Loved having a washer and dryer too. Tomasso and his beautiful condo are true GEMS! Perfection!!

Look no further!

Wow! We absolutely loved this very spacious, clean and modern apartment in Florence. The rooftop garden is truly special. Our host, Tommaso was exactly as you read in all the reviews. Super welcoming, responsive and helpful along the way. In a pinch, he helped us line up travel to Cinque Terre because the train workers happened to be on strike that day. Walk to everything Florence from this spot. Can't recommend this apartment enough if you want an authentic Florence getaway.

Absolutely loved everything, beautiful, spacious, really made our stay in Florence. Amazing owner!

We loved everything about our stay in Florence. Tommaso’s house is absolutely beautiful, spacious, and clean - with incredible art throughout and an outdoor garden to relax. Tommaso was such a wonderful host - he recommended restaurants and helped us make reservations, left us wine, gave us free tickets to a museum, and was very flexible for our arrival and departure times. Our stay here was the best of our trip to Italy and made our visit to Florence our favorite of our trip. The location requires some walking (like everywhere in Italy) but nothing too far. It’s within about a mile walk of most sites. Highly recommend Tommaso’s house.

Absolutely Perfect Florence Stay

I cannot say enough good things about this apartment and Tommaso, the host. He greeted us when we arrived and meet us to say goodbye. The space was perfect for 3. Well appointed kitchen. And the gem of the property is the outdoor garden. Walking distance to many nice restaurants or to the main section of the city. There is also a bus stop within 1 block. One of the best VRBO stays I've ever experienced.

A beautiful apartment in a wonderful location!

Our family had a WONDERFUL time staying at this apartment. It is exactly as described, very clean, very beautiful, a great location within Florence, and the sweetest, most dedicated hosts we have ever met! If you need anything while staying here, Tommaso and his family are here to help! They helped us book transportation, restaurants, and private tours as needed, and provided a wealth of information about the surrounding area. You will not be disappointed with your stay. Not only did we build lasting memories of Italy, but we met new friends along the way. Thank you Tommaso and Family!!!!

Fantastic Home in Florence

We booked this on short notice when we decided to visit Florence. Tommaso is an excellent host who provided many recommendations for places to visit and where to eat. The apartment is the best short term rental I have ever stayed in. Its very well decorated, centrally located and the garden area is beautiful, literally an oasis in the middle of the city. I can't recommend this property highly enough. I'm already planning a return trip for a longer stay. Thanks Tommaso, you were great help during our stay
