A gritty but gentrifying neighborhood close to everything and near many good restaurants. Bar next door was a bit loud and teenagers singing in the courtyard deep into the night made sleeping difficult, but that was a also a bit of charm for this real roman neighborhood.
We spent 5 days in Rome to bring in the new year. The 2nd floor apartment was more than enough for a family of 4 adults. The location was perfect, close to the Roman Forum and Colosseum. Great pubs, bars, restaurants and shopping near by. Highly recommend.
We didnât know anything about where we were staying and booked this when another place fell through. Monti neighborhood was lovely. It was great - perfect location for Colosseum and good restaurants. We walked A LOT from here but you could also get the light rail or busses easily from the location. It is upstairs with suitcases, and it was a bit loud at night because of the nightlife in the area. My young adult children went out a lot and it was great they were nearby. The AC in the bedrooms was adequate (although one room was missing the remote). Nice espresso machine in the unit, too. Very comfortable beds. Living space was small but we didnât hang out there except to charge our phones and check messages at night. I was scared to use the washing machine and didnât try because of all the messages about paying if you break it. The communication with the owners was the best of all 3 places we stayed in Italy.
