The village of Mawgan Porth has a surf school, coffee shops, convenience store and a great local pub. Watergate bay is the next bay along, filled with various eateries and a great beach for surfers. The Bedruthan hotel is just down the road, welcoming non-residents to use the spa and to enjoy food and drink at the Wild Café.
