Une seule remarque: la maison n’est pas facile à trouver. Un petit panneau à l’entrée de l’allée serait appréciable.

Very large and comfortable house

The house is very large and very comfortable, with all the necessary equipment. The kitchen is wonderful. The house is also located only 10 minutes walk to the center of Portree. The experience was very good

Perfectly located for a short walk in Portree and a drive around the Isle of Skye. We had two families w/teens and found the space perfect for sleeping and a large dining space for all of us to eat together. Easy check in/out. Ready to go back already!

Excellent location!

We had a wonderful stay in Cairnmhor House! The house is spacious and comfortable, and the location is excellent -in a quiet area, but only a quick walk from downtown.

Beautiful home on Skye

We enjoyed our stay at Cairnmohr House! There were just 4 adults in our party, so we had more room than we needed. The house has a beautiful view of the harbor. Catherine was very helpful and responsive to messages. We had a lovely holiday on Skye and will visit again!

Perfect location

We enjoyed our stay very much. We figured out the stove & dishwasher but the videos were outdated on these appliances. The kitchen could have been a little better stocked but we managed nicely. Loved the town of Portree & enjoyed walking to & fro. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay.

Great house for exploring the Isle of Skye!

We loved our stay! The house was a great location for exploring the island. The short walk to town make it easy to walk to town for breakfast and dinner.

We loved the house. It was a great base for sour 3 days exploring the Isle of Skye. It was clean, had a great view, and was just as advertised. We made the short walk into town for breakfast and dinner every day. Thank you!

Perfect location - breathtaking view.

Beautiful location with ample space for eight. Very clean, great beds and seems well presented. However, some maintenance issues really need addressed in order to make this an excellent property.

nice location, few things to note

The location is great, 4 to 5 minute walk into portree proper. This is nice because parking portree can be challenging. Parking on site is nice in the driveway and spacious for large vehicles. The communication with the manager/host was not as great as expected. I had to call one morning as the dryer in the unit was not appearing to dry any of our clothes, including my 10 month olds clothing brought on the trip, the manager seemed irritated. Maintenance man came out and put half of bar clothes on the counter and ensured it was working correctly, but none of our clothes were able to dry for the next day and a half. The manager showed up at the property while my mom was watching our son and appeared verbally short and disrespectful towards my mother. The baby cot was not there when we arrived and I made sure to email beforehand to ensure it was there, was dropped off within 20 minutes.

Excellent house to stay at portree

Brilliant property for family holidays. Facilities and amenities were excellent. Felt like home away from Home. We all enjoyed our Family Christmas at this place. We will come back again

The house is very nice, quite spacious.

My only complaint is about the poor communication regarding the check-in process. I had not heard anything from them so three days before our arrival I messaged the host: received no response. So the next day I messaged the host again: no response. Then I started to worry about whether we had a reservation. I contacted VRBO who contacted someone who told me their person who deals with reservations was out but would return the next day. The next day I heard nothing. I messaged the host again: no response. Finally on the morning we were to check in I received a message that all was well. This caused unnecessary stress. Never did hear from the host. Once we were there and settled in all was fine.

Perfect place in Portree

Comfortable lounge, well equipped facility, and perfect location! Five minute walk to downtown square & harbor. Plus was a washer & dryer as we were on a two week holiday. Finding the place was a little tricky. For future guests, it’s located across from the Portree High School. Would definitely stay here again!!

Great house for a group

We were a party of 6 and the house was just right for us. The three bathrooms were nice to have as well. It was a challenge finding the house but once we used the GPS location they provided it got us there. The house was a short walk to town for shopping or dinner. The location was a good base for touring the isle of Skye.

Fabulous stay in Portree

The Cairnmhor House was wonderful! We were a group of 4 couples and there was plenty of room for all of us. Quick walk into town, very comfortable. We’ll be back!

Very convenient to poetry for dining and shopping. Lots of room for our family of six. We enjoyed the big dining table and made use of the washer and dryer.

Lovely Properety

Good size and comfortable for eight adults plenty parking Easy walk to restaurants and shops in Portree. Warm and well equiped and clean House is first on left down Seafield Place, this is not clear from GPS or from the name plaque Would definitely book again

Comfortable modern decor, well equiped house. Stayed as 4 couples and accommodation worked well. It was well equiped cosy and comfortable.5 mimute walk into Portree centre. Easy access all over the island. Lovely gardens and ample parking for four cars Downside name of property not clearly visible so toom a while to find. A mirror i the bedrroms without ensuites would be good

Beautifully Clean Home; Fantastic Location; Excellent Host!

My wife and I stayed at the home for three nights and it was truly memorable. The furnishings were excellent, including the bedding, bathroom supplies, kitchen appliances, and plates/utensils. It was clean, warm, and welcoming. The location can’t be beat. The home is an easy half mile walk from the Portree city center, including shops, bars, and restaurants. Also, the location in Portree is excellent for seeing the many Isle of Skye highlights The communication with Ben and Cat was spot-on perfect. Cat stopped by shortly after we arrived and provided a description of the home and its amenities, as well as the general area. It was raining sideways the day we arrived and Cat proactively booked a taxi for us for dinner. Nice! Best of all, I messaged Ben and Cat a few days before we arrived regarding their suggestions for a driver/guide for a day tour around Isle of Skye. Cat responded that a nephew of hers (Ollie) could be available. We laid out our desired stops, including runs and hikes. Cat added a few local stops to the agenda. On the day we did this trip, Ollie showed up exactly on time and we had a perfect day with him. We saw everything we wanted and Ollie added some local knowledge and flair. It was perfect and the highlight of our time in Portree. Thank you Cat and Ollie! We highly recommend this home and the management team. It is a perfect home base for seeing all that Skye has to offer!

Good stay, great location

The location of this property couldn’t be better. Quick walk right into the centre of Portree and easy access to everything Skye has to offer. The rooms are spacious but the real selling point is the kitchen and dining room. If you love board games and family meals this is definitely the place to be. Really need to think about space though as there wasn’t a lot of cupboard space in the kitchen to put food etc. But dishwasher and laundry facilities were great and tablets provided for both.

Perfect in Portree

We had a fabulous stay in the perfect location. All the beds were comfy, great bathrooms and towels.The kitchen was so large and easy to enjoy as a family. Would go back in a heartbeat.
