We had a super stay (BHol weekend) and had everything we needed. Communication with Liz was excellent, she was very helpful and attentive, we enjoyed the complementary biscuits and milk. The house was perfect for access to the quay for IOS Scillonian, a fab day trip to see the Gig racing. Close enough to enjoy the town, shops, boutiques, restaurants, Jubilee Pool (great facility but bring your own towels) & very quiet location. Parking on street was easy despite arriving at teatime on a Friday. . The neighbours we spoke to were very friendly. We love Penzance anyway, we had a very relaxing happy time at Liz's pretty & as described, light and airy house which was very nicely furnished. Thank you Liz! The house was
We loved the house. Very clean and homely. Enough equipment, crockery etc to prepare a meal and eat at the property.
Good location for all members of party to split to go off and do their own thing and to explore the wider area.
St Erbyn long stay car park served us well and was a few minutes walk from the property. Affordable parking with no issues encountered.
Liz has done a fantastic job presenting and equipping the property we definitely had everything we needed. The marketing of the property on VRBO needs tweaking however. We had 4 adults and 2 children there and that was enough. The 2 single beds are childrenâs beds, and they would be uncomfortable for an adult. I wouldnât recommend 8 adults trying to sleep there. Anyone who is disabled should take care too, parking was impossible (we were there in August) the stairs are steep, and some of the ceilings low. Whilst everything was clean and well presented there was a damp smell in the kitchen cupboards and there was mould in places. All in all I think it was overpriced and I wouldnât stay there again
SĂșper little cottage that is deceptively bigger than first appears⊠very well equipped kitchen with eco friendly products. Friendly host.. Right in the centre of Penzance, the shops and restaurants literally around the corner.. St Erbyns carpark is a 3 minute walk away for 24hr parking ..would definitely recommend this little gem..Thank you Liz x
We really enjoyed our stay in Lizâs lovely property. It was exactly as pictured and described. The home was very spacious with a lot of personality. The furnishings were all very comfortable and high quality - hard to find in most of the more âcorporateâ properties you find on these platforms more and more. Liz provided all the extras that are also usually lacking in other properties; the kitchen was fully stocked with all of the essentials (salt, vinegar, spices, ketchup, fresh milk in the fridge, coffee and tea), there were plenty of fresh towels, enough blankets for everyone to use when relaxing and plenty of firewood if needed. Although a small thing, there was an ample supply of toilet roll, paper towels, and other cleaning supplies.
Liz was a great host. She was in contact to help us check in and out and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our stay. I canât recommend this property highly enough.
We had a lovely time in Penzance with our family, which included 3 grandchildren. The weather wasn't the best, but the house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Thank you Liz - you have done a great job of decorating and furnishing.
Hi - my name is Liz and I am in my sixties. I lived in the West Penwith area for 35 years and in this house for 15 years. I now live with my partner Andrew in Exeter. This lovely house is now my main income although I trained as a Family Relationship Specialist and I still see a few families from time to time. I have been renting my home for the last six years and when my last tenants left it felt like an opportunity to refurbish the house as well as allowing us to spend time in this beautiful neck of the woods. I hope you enjoy the area and house as much as i do.
