Cottage historique prĂšs de la plage et surplombant le Mont St Michel
This charming, modernised cottage is situated about 80m from the safe, sandy beach overlooking St Michael's Mount. Facilities for swimming, sailing and wind surfing are excellent. The village has a wide variety of shops, galleries and restaurants and is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful coastline and countryside of the Lands End peninsula.
Tresco is an attractive cottage fronting onto a small road. It has a rear courtyard garden which is sheltered and sunny - ideal for barbecues. The lounge is large and spacious with a low beamed ceiling, exposed granite walls and inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove. Marazion is the perfect village for a family holiday, with childrens' play area and sailing close by. The village overlooks the magnificent Mount's Bay with the famed St. Michael's Mount directly opposite. The interesting towns of St Ives and Penzance are very close and well worth a visit.
The location of this little cottage is the best you can get in Marazion. Just an alley away from the steps down to the beach that leads to the Mount, we had easy walking access to the entire village and National Trust site. This lovely cottage with it's low beamed ceilings and quaint angled stairs was the perfect addition to our visit. Highly recommend.
The cottage is exactas description. Large kitchen and living area, which worked perfect. Walking distance to everything in Marazion, which is a lovely village.
We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.
Communication with the owner was excellent and timely.
Loved it!
We had an excellent time to stay in this cottage. We have been 3 persons enjoying the silence but also the ability to start sightseeing with public transport to many destinations. We could cook and start our day with a good breakfast for the day and neighbouring pubs as well as shopping centers 3 stations by bus opened us the ability to select what fit best to our needs.
We certainly come again and hopefully get the cottage as starting point. We relaxed in these two weeks to an extent we never felt before. My friends left the cottage with a smile in her face...
Ein sehr schön eingerichtetes, altes und schön saniertes Haus in der Mitte von Marazion, leider konnten wir den Freisitz wegen des schlechten Wetters nicht nutzen.
We have very much enjoyed our stay in this cottage, simple but cosy feel inside, great location for any explorations out there, Including the local beaches and attractions!
Tresco was the perfect location to explore Marazion and the surrounding area. St. Michaels Mount is amazing and the beach is quite good. The cottage does have low ceilings and the parking place is a bit tight to get into, but otherwise it was great. Also be aware that it runs on a pound electricity meter. For our family of 5 over 4 days we spent about 7 pounds to run it, so not too bad.
We had a fantastic holiday at Tresco.
3 adults with 3 children aged 8 years and under.
Location excellent, facilities excellent.
Cottage had that old worldy atmosphere but was well equipped, very clean and a good kitchen for when we did cook.
Having a washing machine was ideal and we had the weather to dry everything.
Plenty to do in the area and going back next year for more.
Having a car park space meant coming back in the middle of the day presented no parking problems.
We had the bonus of beautiful blue skies everyday but whatever the weather this cottage is a wonderful place to stay. Fully equipped with everything you could want and so close to the beach, shops, restaurants and pubs (not to mention the fantastic pasty shop !)The things we enjoyed most were the lovely beaches and coastal walks but we also had a marvellous time at the Minack theatre.
Sweet cottage in a great location just off the high street, really well placed to take advantage of all Marazionâs great shops, galleries, restaurants and the beach. We had a lovely time in this comfortable, historic and characterful house and hope to go back soon.
We stayed here in June 2013 and had an absolutely brilliant time. The cottage has a perfect location within Marazion with minutes walk to the beach, shops and pubs (we spent a lot of time in The Goldolfin.) The cottage itself is well equipped and spotless, and the sitting room has a lovely traditional feel with beamed ceilings and a comfy sofa to relax on. We were traveling around Cornwall quite a bit while we were staying and found this to be a perfect base as Marazion is so close to Penzance and it's links to the rest of the county. Overall we would recommend this cottage wholeheartedly, and will be returning again!
We really enjoyed our week stay at Tresco with our young family (kids 7,5 and 1 ). The cottage is ideally situated for the beach and the village and all facilities were perfect.
Very pretty little cottage with plenty of room inside, there were 6 in total in our party and we had plenty of space. I would recommend this rental to anyone wanting a hassle free week in the sun ( which we were very fortunate to have in abundance ). Hope to visit again in the coming years.
We are a family of 5 and so enjoyed our stay at Tresco. The cottage was perfect for our needs and so conveniently positioned for Marazion village and the seaside. It was great to be able to pop down to the beach or play area and then come back to the little terraced back garden area for an outside picnic. Marazion has heaps to do in the summer and we visited most of the art galleries and pubs in the village. Tresco Cottage is very comfortable and well cared for and all our dealings with the owner went smoothly. Thank you so much.
