Guys weekend

We had a great weekend. House was great and had plenty of activities to keep us entertained. Neighbors were also very helpful with information on the lake.

Splendid Location for Relaxation and Fun

This is the second time we stayed here. Love the place. Plenty of room for everything. Nice kitchen with plenty of room for preparing a big meal for lots of folks. The "Mother-in-law" (MIL) house is a fantastic space with its own shower, washer-dryer and comfortable sleeping spaces. The shower in the MIL Suite and the Master suite in the main house are both nice walk-in tiled showers, not tubs. The "Party Barn" is a great space for some poker, shooting some pool (bring your own cue), cornhole, or just hanging out enjoying the place. I would love to give this place all five stars, but these small issues drove me nuts: The commodes. The bathrooms are very nice, but I'm over six foot tall and a big guy and those little standard, non-elongated, low-rise commodes were uncomfortable. The HVAC in the MIL house is some kind of hotel-like unit. It was okay on Memorial Day weekend keeping the place the cool but failed pretty miserably with heating the space during Thanksgiving. The TV operation. Before you go, make sure you have an HDMI cable and a laptop or something you can use to provide input. The ROKU system is awkward, never has the channel or App you want, and there's no way to add it without the PIN. Watching the "Big Game" might be a challenge if that's part of your planned stay. Like I said, I'd give it all five stars but for those little nuisances. It's highly likely we stay there again.

Great Golf HQ

Several old college buddies from around the state congregated in Frankston to play three rounds of golf at Pine Dunes and to watch college football. This home served our needs very well. The kitchen is well appointed and spacious that allowed everyone to chip in for meal prep, including grilling steaks outdoors. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and perfect for our crew. The outdoor patio and the barn sitting area allowed for great venues to chat about old times while looking out over the lake. Lee was very helpful in our planning and very communicative when we had a couple of questions that popped up during our stay.

Family Vacation

The property is very peaceful and quiet. The kids loved fishing from the pier. There was an issue with the heat but the owner was very responsive and had it fixed within a couple of hours.

Loved everything about this place. We will definitely be back

Property was perfect, weve stayed in several places on Lake Palestine and this is by far our favorite. The house was nice and clean, we also enjoyed having the studio apartment for our teenager's to have a little privacy. Our favorite part was the barn, it was perfect for all of us to hang out in the evening. Great swimming area for the kids, and room to leave the boat tied up in a quiet cove. We will probably book a weeks vacation here next summer

Beautiful Property. Excellent location

We had a wonderful weekend at Lake Palestine. The home is newly renovated and in excellent condition. Very relaxing and comfortable beds. Lots of space for everyone. Family had a wonderful time owner had firewood stocked for our nightly fires down by the lake. The old barn has been turned into a wonderful entertainment area with great views of the lake and an inside and outside bar with a barbecue. The cottage at the back has its own kitchenette with wonderful shower. Just sitting and watching the sun set was so relaxing. The owners were very helpful and even have fishing poles ready. One of the most enjoyable short vacations that we have ever had. Will definitely be back with all family.

Hidden Gem on Lake Palestine

A wonderful find! Sparkling clean home plus separate guest house on amazing property! Comfortable for the whole family to enjoy indorrs and outdoors, nestled in a little cove with the lake just steps away to swim or kayak! The true Texas hospitality from our host was much appreciated. We highly recommend this VRBO rental and will be back soon!

Family FUN

We have the most relaxing, reconnecting, and fun family vacation. Host was so friendly and accommodating!!! Helped us build our s’mores fire pit and gave us fishing tips! We will definitely be BACK!

Fishing Lake Palestine

Great property. Plenty of room for 8 men for a fishing weekend. The house is extremely nice and the outdoor kitchen was a perfect place to cook and hang out. The beds were very comfortable and everything was nice and clean. I highly recommend this rental for anyone wanting nice lake access for a perfect getaway!
