Christmas in the smokies

Will maintain older log home was perfect for our Christmas in the smokies. We asked the host if it had a Christmas tree and he said no but when we got there it had a Christmas tree, stockings and décor. Our granddaughter loved every bit of it.

Wonderful week in the mountains

Our family, which spanned in ages from 80 to 3, had a wonderful time at this cabin. It was very well suited for children, with lots of space to play and run around - inside and outside. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for meals, the beds were comfy, and plenty of seating in the main living space. Please heed the warnings about accessing the cabin - it was hard to find when we first arrived, and the roads are very steep! We only had 2 vehicles with us and parking was a daily juggle to get in and out. Lots of stores, restaurants, and activities were close by, but we were careful to be home before dark each night because we could not imagine trying to navigate the road up to the cabin in the dark.

The cabin is cute and in a private area. The kids loved that we had our own area. We saw a family of bears the second day we were there. They walked through the neighbors yard and up our drive. Navigating to Pigeon Forge was fairly easy with directions. There are a few sharp turns on the route but it’s close. There were a few issues we encountered. Dealt with them but they were annoying and cut into our vacation time. 1. Light on ceiling fans broke (Jeremy Fixed) 2. Cable not working (Jeremy found it was plugged in wrong) 3. Both bathroom showers don’t drain while in use. I had water up to my ankles when I showered. 4. Door lock wouldn’t lock when we tried to leave for the day. Maintenance had changed the batteries the night before when he was out because they were flashing low battery and it worked then. Maybe leave an actual key in the future so the family can continue their vacation instead of waiting. 5. Couch recliner broken on one side. 6. No instructions on how to operate the hot tub or where the timers were. I do want to add Jeremy our maintenance man was AMAZING! He was very polite and considerate each time he had to come. He fixed the present issues but some we didn’t encounter until later. I also tried to email the address I was provided for issues and I was never responded too, still to this day I haven’t been. Hopefully future gusts have a more positive experience than we did.

Our stay

We had a pleasant stay. We enjoyed having the quietness and sincerity of being calm. This was our first time doing this so it was a little creepy but we enjoyed the stay. There were a couple things that were damaged when we got there and we did our best not to add to it. We tried to make sure things were cleaned and left how it was when we got there. Thank you for our stay.

Bear Country

Great place! Saw a bear walk right across the driveway early one morning while we were sitting on the front porch. The sounds at night were very cool, too. Nothing like Ohio.

Only a three

Access to the drive needs to have better signage. Also the drive is very hard to maneuver getting in and out. Bushes on the front of the house need trimmed can't see off the front porch when sitting there. Inside was exactly like the pictures online. Game room door to the hottub needs some adjustment its hard to close.

Gatlinburg getaway

We had a great time. Everything was actually great; the checkin in process was simply, everything was clean, it wasn’t to far from the main strip and all the shops, the kids had an amazing time in the game room and roasting marshmallows outside at the firepi, and Sitting around the fireplace watching a movie with the whole family was nice also.

Cute mountain getaway.

The outside of the property could use some tlc. The inside was just as the pictures show. Definitely up in the mountains. Driveway is a little tricky. I dont recommend having a low sitting vehicle. Overall, we were pleased with our stay and would stay there again.

Bear visit!

Two of the beds n bathroom floor were dirty and the shower shut off did not work in both tubs.The dryer was broke and if uou ate more then 4 people not enough towels and paper products too. Otherwise we enjoyed the stay!! We sure enjoyed the bear that visited about an hr after we arrived!!

Great cabin to stay at in the Smokies. Plenty of room for the whole family. Location away from main cities was great and made for relaxing evenings. Would rent again.

christmas stay

We loved it. the kids loved when we returned from shopping, we did dinner and took showers and we just relaxed. looking out the windows at the view was beautiful. we loved it. thank you thank you.

Not clean enough

The pictures on the advertisement did not tell the real story. The fire pit was just that a pit, had not been cleaned up in months. The master bath floor was dirty, the plus in that room was the mattress was fantastic just like ours at home. The furniture in the living room was not good. Recliner is broke, one end of the couch is broke. Ask for a bath chair and did get one. The tub in the master didn’t drain well, also the shower head was awful. The rugs in the bathrooms were dirty looking and just need to be threw away and get new ones. This place was way to expensive for what we got, would not stay here again

Great location. Nice house

Nice house . However the tubs had spiders in them. When you first turned the water on for any use the water smelled like sulfur. I had a small child who takes baths and the tub didn't have a stopper. There may have been a water leak before in the upstairs bathroom. Looked like mold on the side of vanity. We enjoyed the home and location. The living room is the best part of the house.

Great stay!

Property was as described and met the needs for our group of seven very well. The property sleeps six very comfortably. There is an additional futon on the back porch (enclosed). This area is not cooled by the central air, but does stay very comfortable with either the door open to the family room during the day and/or one or both of the windows to the main part of the house open. The sounds of nature out there at night wer great. Far enough off the main areas of choas to really feel removed, yet can be back in the middle of it all in 20 minutes. Thanks to the host!

Cute place, lovely setting, but needed some TLC

The property was in a good location, cute, and easy to find. The cabin itself needed a good cleaning however. There were cobwebs in the windows, lawn furniture was molded, trash left in yard around fire pit from last renters, and cigarette butts littered the ground. The yard area is not well maintained and overgrown. The upstairs does not cool well and both of those beds were uncomfortable. The comforters upstairs where white which made it clear they weren’t clean. The downstairs master was great and the mattress there was much nicer. It had plenty of space, the ping pong table was fun, plenty of books to read, and the hot tub was functional. The back screened in porch has plastic covering the screens so it was another sitting area but not useful to watch the outdoors.

Over priced for the Cleanliness & Lack of Updates

This property was similar to past reviews. Price was way too high to have such poor bedding and Mattresses in guest rooms. The only bedroom to par was the Master. There was even blood stain on the upstairs bedroom pillow. Bedding was yellowish and dingy. The guest bedrooms need a lot of updating to bedding and comfort of mattress. These seem like very simple and not costly fixes to make this property desirable. They also need to cage their trash cans. A bear with 4 cubs while cute was frightening to see next to the front porch. Every other property had proper protection guarding trash cans.

On the last day you could smell the well water upstairs really bad. It was horrible. But overall we had a very nice day a lot of hills to climb up and quite a distance to get to the cabin.

The worst cabin

The place was awful, it wasn’t clean, smelled bad, the water in the hot tub was so gross it needed to be cleaned every day, didn’t get that clean, smelled like rotten eggs, there was no back porch like we were told. The grill was rusty couldn’t cook food on it, the beds were hard as bricks, not a good experience, wasted my time on the phone with Vrbo and evolve team which was ridiculous!

Overall good experience

Property was dated. Wonderful space for large family with kids. The house set up was great! Garbage in trash bins in one room with damaged ping pong table. Hot tub was scummy and discolored. I immediately was able to get in touch with someone about it, however I was told due to water quality it could not be fixed. My husband and I (who own a hot tub at home) later went to the store and purchase spa chlorine and was able to clean the scum out of the tub. It did remain discolored, but was not dirty for the remainder of the trip. Overall, we had a great visit!

Secluded get away

Was very pretty and secluded cabin. Had a little difficulty getting the correct numbers for the key pad. The cleaning crew was very helpful with getting hold of the manger. I arrived a little early and the cleaning crew was there. So glad they were there. Our ladies retreat was wonderful thank you.
