It was a surprise trip for my family. Full of fun, laughter and love. The home away from home accommodated our needs and the owner was very responsive. We slept well, made yummy meals and had quality hang out time. We give a 5 out of 5 for the overall rating on our stay at this home. Thank you!
We had a wonderful and relaxing stay. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The cabin provided the perfect setting for a family getaway. Our kids absolutely loved the thoughtful selection of game boards, and the evenings spent making s'mores and "camping" around the firepit were the highlight of the trip. A perfect experience, we can't wait to come back!
The cabin was clean and in a great secluded location, but along with the seclusion came Black Bears. Yep, and an overabundance of Black Bears kept us from enjoying the hot tub and grill. The first morning there, we woke up to a mother bear and two cubs. Later in the day, I grilled steaks, and thankfully, after I took them inside and ate first, a giant male bear showed up right at the front door. Lol, I put on my Yorkie's harness to take him out, opened up the front door, and thankfully, a storm door was there between us and the bear. He was three feet from me when I yelled at him from inside the house to leave, but he showed up every day about the same time, looking for those steaks, so we left two days early. Lol
We had such a wonderful, relaxing time that we chilled out at the cabin every day until lunch time before going out! Jean (property manager) was unbelievable about her communication. I highly recommend both the cabin and Jean! We even got to see 3 bears in the yard! We could be happy to come back again!
It took me 5 months to find a cabin in the Gatlinburg area that accepted cats so I was happy when mine were accepted in this booking with a fee.The cabin is very clean & the host is attentive, nice, & helpful. The decorations are nice & The Copper Owl is beautiful. I rented from several VRBOs & I am surprised at the extras included: Laundry & dishwasher detergents, coffee pods, soaps, shampoos & almost enough toilet paper to last 11 days.If you have a long charging cord you'll want to bring it. The outlets are a tiny bit far from the furniture. Or you could charge your device while playing the mini NES, foosball table, PAC Mania arcade game, board games, soaking in the hot tub or reading. There's also a TV in every room with Roku. There are 2 coffee pots but if you want to brew a single cup you'll have to use a Keurig. There are enough pods to have a cup the morning after arrival. There's a reusable cone filter & non-bleached cone filters in the cabinet above the maker. There's plenty silverware, plates, cups & cookware. Not many places deliver for a low fee but we did manage to get Panda Express & Papa Leone's. The cabin is also extremely close to the arts & crafts loop, & both Pigeon Forge & Sevierville. It's in the perfect spot if you want to take advantage of all 3 cities.I saw a turtle, heard coyotes several nights & saw a bear's behind on the hill while looking in my car's side mirror.Check-out is easy, We just had to pack our things & take out the trash.
Property is nestled between 2 other homes. We are used to being more isolated. We saw bears everyday, which was awesome. They were never aggressive toward us. Cabin was clean, but could use some minor updating.
Loved the house and the area. Absolutely loved watching the 2 cubs and morher from the balcony a couple days in a row. The vidio game was a big hit.The cabin is quiet and beds are extremely comfortable.
Great location to any of the family activities in pigeon forge or gatlinburg. Met our needs perfectly and then some. Can't wait to come back and stay again.
Flawless check in, JT our host was friendly and hospitable, checked mid stay just to make sure our stay was good, which was a nice touch. We had no problems what so ever but felt if needed JT was very accessible. Cabin was very clean, comfortable, with modern decor. Lots of hospitable touches like providing paper towels, coffee pods, hot tub towels. Water pressure was amazing which was a bonus! Game room was fun for our family and hot tub was great. Wifi worked but doubt you will want to waste time on it since this location is the jackpot of bear sightings. The amount of sightings amazed us! We have been visiting the Smokies for over 14 years and Copper Owl has by far been my favorite rental!
The house had plenty of space for our group of 5. The house was situated at the top of a hill with a couple neighbors but was quite. We enjoyed using the fire pit and the grill as well as the hot tub. The host was really good about getting back to us quickly about any questions we had. We will defintely stay here again the next time we go to the area.
The cabin was very clean. Everything was in a close proximity too. The owners got back to me very quickly if I had any concerns or questions. I would definitely stay there again! We also saw a mama bear and cub in the yard!
Perfect for family our kids loved the game room. The host is very nice and helpful. Very cute little cabin but has everything you need and more. Love the hot tub and the fact is was more remote than other cabins we looked at renting.
My husband and I loved staying here with our dog! Location was convenient to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, and only 30 minutes from the national park. Property had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed sitting on the back deck looking out into the woods. We even saw black bears from the cabin! The host was also very communicative and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on our next trip to the area.
