We knew about the well water prior & brought water to drink. The house had NO plates or bowls. The master bed was extremely stiff. All the others were fine. The pool table was broken & slanted from the ground so it was not useable. My kids loved the games/puzzles. I booked through VRBO & had conflicting checkout times & door codes. Vrbo told me 1 thing & the new property owners told me another. Overall the house was good. Location was a little iffy, narrow roads to/from.
The property was not a cabin but a modified double wide. The floor in the dining room dipped. The head of the queen bed (guest room) slopped down so our heads were lower than our feet. The microwave did not work. The house was very clean. Amenitiewas well provided and stocked.
Nice place, bad location and not as roomy as pictures make it seem.
Inside of the house is great. Very cozy vibe, master bed is very stiff! Anymore than 2 small vehicles is very difficult to park. Not a nice area! Loud vehicles driving by late at night, looks to be a drug house a few houses before this house, first thing you see when you turn onto the street is an old run down trailer. And if your a city slicker you will not like the water here as itâs well water and has a potent egg smell but if your from the country you know thatâs that good water and it makes your skin soft! You will need paper towels, toilet paper, and your basic cooking items if you plan to cook.
The property was quiet and beautiful. GPS took us directly to it and it was not hard to get to the main strip of Pigeon Forge. The bed in the master room was absolutely amazing! I would love to know the specifications on the mattress because it was the best sleep I have had in a long time. My only disappointment was the water pressure of the shower in the master bathroom. I wouldn't mind staying again.
Unacceptable Health and Safety Issues â Would Not RecommendWe had a very troubling stay at this cabin. There were multiple serious health, safety, and maintenance problems that the host failed to handle appropriately.First, communication was poor. We reported issues on Friday and didnât get a response until we showed up in person on Monday when we checked out.The listing failed to mention the use of well water, which smelled strongly of sulfur (rotten eggs). It was so bad that some of our family refused to shower. No filtered water or pitcher was provided, which should be a basic necessity.Far worse, a staple in one of the beds caused a physical injury to my husband, and we found a used syringe right outside the cabin. These discoveries, along with a dead animal carcass near the fire pit, raised serious concerns about the property's cleanliness and safety standards. The dead animal was weeks old.On top of that, several amenities were broken or missing: the microwave didnât work, the pool table was unusable, shampoo wasnât provided as listed, the seating didnât match the photos, and basic necessities like trash bags werenât stocked. When we brought these issues to the hostâs attention, we were met with a dismissive and gaslighting response. The host tried to blame the location, claimed the water situation was disclosed (it wasnât), and used the âbudgetâ pricing to justify the condition of the cabin. A mere 100 discount was offered, which felt like an insult.
Place was cute and in a good location, BUT it wasnât disclosed til after we paid (non-refundable) that the water comes from a well and is VERY stinky! So gross! This info SHOULD be disclosed in the listing, prior to paying, or give renters the option to get their money back if they choose to get a refund once being informed. We were trapped into staying because it was non-refundable. We bought a few gallons of water from the grocery store for drinking and for brushing teeth because of the smell/taste. We were told there were Brita water filtration pitchers available in the home for drinking, but found none at the home. Also, the master shower had very little water pressure, so we all had to use the 2nd bathroom for showering. Microwave doesnât work too well. Other than that, home was cozy and a good âcrashingâ place after sightseeing all throughout the day.
