La Maison Rose - a French style garden retreat in the heart of Wangaratta

Relax in comfort in central Wangaratta. La Maison Rose is a contactless B&B ideal for couples, small family groups or business travel.

Your self contained suite adjoins the rear garden of a charming 1930's Californian bungalow in historic central Wangaratta, just a 5 minute walk to/from the Railway Station, cafes, hotels, shops, hospital & cycling trails.

The suite has it's own private entrance from a shared carriageway & accommodates up to four guests.

The door to your suite opens into a warm and comfortable living room with views through a private undercover deck to a courtyard garden that is exclusively yours (and not overlooked by anyone) during your stay.

You will find all your breakfast supplies in the fridge and in the basket on your dining table ready for your stay. There's no need to contact us when you arrive, unless you need us -and then we'll be there!

A separate bedroom opens off the living room, revealing an French inspired space with an antique brass and iron Queen Bed and a curtained four poster double bed. Both beds have comfortable mattresses and hotel quality bedlinen and soft quilts. We love it when guests comment that staying at La Maison Rose is like staying in a French B&B!

La Maison Rose is located within easy walking distance from Wangaratta CBD, the River Cafe precinct & supermarkets.

Take time to explore the fabulous Northeast Victoria from La Maison Rose, your home away from home. Explore the Milawa wine & food region, King Valley or Rutherglen wineries & breweries, or the historic towns of Beechworth & Glenrowan by car or bicycle.

Experience nature with a walk or drive in the Warby Ranges or in the Winton Wetlands, using a supplied insulated picnic satchel & rug to relax by the river or in one of Wangaratta’s lovely parks.

If art, music or performance are more your style, we have excellent galleries, theatres, pubs and restaurants.

We had a wonderful experience at La Maison Rose, from the minute we walked in we felt at home. The rooms were clean and the bed super comfortable. We enjoyed an oudoor bbq in the garden and the complimentary bubbles and biscuits was incredibly generous. The communication from Julie was straighforward and easy to follow. Totally enjoyed our time here.

Character filled premises with facilities in excellent order. Outdoor seating area and garden was an absolute highlight. Everything provided was thoughtful and attractively presented. Beds comfortable! Perfect accommodation for my daughter and myself, central to walking trails. Peter and Julie were very friendly hosts.

A bit quirky - full of character and comfortable. Didn't expect cheeses and wine in the fridge! Nice touch. Close to the Private Hospital which is why I stayed there and would certainly stay again

This property was exceptional. The attention to detail with the accommodation was wonderful including the little extras like bread, jam & Prosecco 😀 I would highly recommend staying here when in Wangaratta as the location was also fantastic.

This property was the perfect getaway. The host, Julie, had thought of everything possible to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. A large outdoor space would be perfect for warmer weather. I highly recommend this property for a weekend away in Wangaratta.

Perfectly peaceful

We loved every part of this stay. Julie was the most thoughtful guest and went out of her way to accommodate an early check in request, provided ideas for the kids and I for things to do and left treats for each of us in the room. It was so welcoming and charming and relaxing we actually ended up staying in to recoup in the afternoon - playing games, reading, smelling the divine roses and enjoying the tranquil garden

lovely bnb to put your feet up and feel cared for. The place was small but cosy enhanced by the additional bottles of prosecco and cheese and strawberries. The breakfast basket was plentiful, the outdoor area a haven for small bird life. A lovely place to stay and walking distance to the centre of town. Thank you Julie

A beautiful place to spend my birthday

Thank you Julie for the special birthday message and the bubbles. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your beautiful B&B. The outside area was charming and I even had a little nap on the daybed! Everything was just perfect and we discovered Faithfull St. with wonderful restaurants along the river.
