Waterfront Farm Stay

*****PLEASE NOTE: This house only takes bookings from families (ie parents & kids - maximum of 3 families per booking), NO groups of adults ( Max 6 adults per booking) There are two homes on this property. The two homes are approximately 300m apart, fenced & gated allowing privacy for both guests & caretakers

Delatite Point sits on 16 acres of lake front farmland & has direct private access from the property to the deep waters of Lake Eildon, it is a 10 minute drive from the Mansfield Township & approx 40 min to the entry gates of Mt Buller. So bring your kayaks, SUPS, boats, jet skis & fishing gear and enjoy all the beautiful lake has to offer or head up the mountain for a day of snow fun.
Once you enter the property you will drive along the tree lined driveway to a home away from home overlooking the amazing Lake Eildon. Look out for the Scottish Highlanders and Alpacas! Delatite Point is perfect for 2-3 famiies with 3 bedrooms for adults upstairs and a large bunk room with 6 single beds for children downstairs. The home has split system air conditioning/heating in every bedroom/room in the house along with heated floors in the bathrooms ensuring your comfort no matter what the temperature outside.
Spend the day out on the water, up at the snow, bike riding along the rail trails or for those who like more of a challenge mountain biking down Mt Buller during the summer season, 4WD throughout the nearby National Parks or enjoy the local wineries, even consider a scenic drive to the King Valley wineries, or just simply relax and enjoy all this property has to offer.
Upon arriving at the house you will enter the home via the downstairs door into the large comfortable lounge with TV/DVD, games & foosball table with the bunk room & large bathroom just down the hall.
Walk up the internal staircase to 3 more bedrooms, another spacious bathroom plus a well equipped kitchen, open plan dining area and access to the outdoor decking space.
With the abundant natural light that fills the home it’s the perfect setting to sit back and enjoy the picturesque High Country.
Relax on the outdoor setting admiring the beautiful views of Lake Eildon and surrounding mountains whilst listening to the sounds of the many birds or even the boats passing by on the lake. In the cooler months sit around the outdoor fire pit toasting marshmallows enjoying the magical surrounds as the sun sets over the mountains.

NB There are two homes on this property, the neighboring home is 300m away and has permanent residents. It is fenced and gated to ensure privacy to both guests & caretakers
*****There is a dam located on the property which is not fenced off (dam is approximately 250m from house-see last two photos)**** (house better suited to children 5 & above)

Stunning Location

Wonderful location for a getaway. Lots of wildlife for the kids and great water access on the property to enjoy Lake Eildon! Property is clean, tidy and well appointed. We’ll be coming back!

Freedom to relax

The children enjoyed the freedom and adventure, and adults sat back and relaxed. Plenty to do with private access to the lake. House had everything we needed. Nell was great host who let us be but was very responsive if we needed to get in contact.

Perfect holiday house

It was perfect house for our ski trip to Mount Buller. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. It was located near lake and the view was amazing. Only an hour driving to Mount Buller and we enjoyed the driving as well. It was very easy to communicate with property manager and she was really helpful. We will definitely come back. Thank you.

Perfect family getaway

The excellent communication from our host certainly set the tone for our family get together. All our questions were answered promptly, and much thought has gone into making sure guests are well informed about this delightful and extremely well maintained and equipped property. A very high standard of cleanliness in all rooms and beautiful outdoor areas to relax. A special bonus was being able to launch our boat and sit in the shady trees beside the lake. Serene, peaceful and private. Thank you so much from all of us, it was a real treat. D

Perfect lakeside retreat

We loved our recent stay at Delatite Point with our 15yo son & friends with their two teen kids. It was just perfect for all our needs. Beautifully situated on a hill with views of the lake & the lovely rolling hills beyond. Very private despite the owners home being located nearby. The wildlife (kookas, magpies & Roos) were in abundance & added to the experience. The cows & alpacas v cute too. A very comfortable house, well appointed with all amenities required for an easy holiday break. Adults slept upstairs & kids down. The wide deck & big outdoor table provided extra living area upstairs in fine weather. An extra bathroom (or loo) would have been ideal but we managed. The downstairs lounge area was big enough for 7 of us (adult size) to sit around & play Celebrity Head or to recline to read/sleep. The weather was a bit variable but thankfully we had enough good days to launch our boats (conveniently on the property) and enjoy the beautiful lake. Always able to find some glassy areas for a good wakeboard, knee board & ski. On the cooler days it was ideal to be close to Mansfield to enjoy a meal at the pub & tour around the area. Unfortunately the Delatite winery was not running their piazza menu the week we stayed otherwise we’d have headed there. Also handy if you forget anything the drive to town is v manageable & scenic too. Could have happily stayed another week but time didn’t permit at this late stage in the year. Would also recommend a stay during the colder months. Close enough to do day trips to Mt Buller or just curl up with a book or by the fire pit. Nell the host was great at communicating pre arrival & super helpful ensuring a relaxing stay. Thank you :) We will be back!

Perfect weekend getaway

What a beautiful property that is so well maintained. Communication from our host Nell was excellent and so many generous touches that made our stay even better. No need to scratch your head figuring out how to use appliances or where things are located. Handy notes and labels are strategically placed to make your stay a breeze. Would highly recommend this property and look forward to returning again soon.

Wholesome Family Weekend Away

This beautiful property acted as the perfect home away from home for our mothers 60th birthday getaway. Lakeside, surrounded by rolling hills; a sense of calm was felt immediately upon accessing this meticulously maintained and established property. The property itself was both spacious and warm (and clean to no fault). Hospitality was extended from a moments entry with fresh eggs and a chilled bottle of wine waiting for us inside. Instruction regarding the ground / access to the lake etc. was well communicated. The property manager was not only easy to communicate with, responding to requests at a moments notice; but provided very detailed guidance and recommendations of how to fill our weekend with the most wonderful activities. Overall, we felt that an extreme amount of effort and hospitality was put forth in accommodating us; and it was very much appreciated. Thank you again.

Sensational serene location

Fabulous property offering direct lake access for the boat which was exactly what we wanted . The house is very welcoming and the kitchen is extremely well equipped ..all the little things thought of. Loved just sitting on the deck looking at the beautiful water views and amazing sunsets. Nell was the perfect host and we wanted for nothing. She was extremely accomodating and we will definitely be booking again. Peaceful, pretty and relaxing. Perfect location if you love your water sports or not far to travel to Buller in Winter. Most enjoyable weekend.

Idyllic Delatite Point

A genuine 5 star experience - great communication and service with the hosts, the property is very clean, well organised and has everything a family or group needs. The location is stunning set amongst the bushland with magnificent views of the surrounding hills, lake and forests. Great private lake access and no shortage of things for the kids to do. Highly recommended and well be back!

Beautiful property and location

We had an absolute ball at Nell’s property. The fire pit outside was the old time favorite night activity, the lake was very enjoyable, we caught some brown trout while fishing. Nell and the family are great. The house is well stocked and very clean. We all had an absolute ball. Will definitely be back there again soon â˜ș

Fantastic location on top of a hill.

Beautifully decorated and clean house with great views. Easy access to lake to launch boat / jet ski. Fantastic host. Certainly will return.
