Magnifique maison de restauration pour les grands groupes dans un endroit merveilleux.
Cette propriété peut accueillir jusqu'à 17 personnes Couchage 4 lits queen, 3 lit double et 3 lits superposés simples toutes les chambres avec des peignoirs intégrés, des systÚmes à cycle inversé et tous les lits avec surmatelas, doonas et oreillers!
Cuisine entiÚrement équipée avec micro-ondes, réfrigérateur et lave-vaisselle.
Immense salon ouvert avec 2 cheminées ouvertes, chauffage / refroidissement à cycle inversé, télévision, Foxtel (y compris tous les films et chaßnes sportives) dans deux chambres, lecteur DVD et CD. Ensuite et deux salles de bains modernes.
2 chambres lit queen avec accÚs par porte coulissante au balcon ensoleillé orienté au nord et 2 lits queen avec portes coulissantes sur le pont.

Awesome country property

This was a great place to have a Christmas family gathering. Plenty of space in the house and the outside space and surrounding property were great. As it was hot we were able to cool down in the river which could be accessed from the property

Beautiful location and property

The house is so big and roomy.. we went with friends and our kids and no one could fault this place. The short walk down to the river was great, and the playground was awesome! We had two minor issues, which we were advised would be fixed asap. We loved this place and have already re booked this property again.

The property was perfect for our family weekend away. All age groups catered for. Great that it was pet friendly as well. We were lucky to have beautiful spring weather and were therefore able to make the most of the extensive property. Supplying your own linen is a slight inconvenience, but it should be mentioned that you also need to bring teatowels, oven mitts and bath mats as the bathroom floors can be very slippery when wet.

In memory of Ebony.

Great week spent with family, accommodated us all very comfortably. Plenty to keep the children & grandchildren busy. Crockery, cutlery & kitchen extras supplied, amzing right down to the cheesgrater. Beds were very comfy & the views from the back verandah were awesome. Lovely relaxing time spent down on the riverbank. Short walk to the local pub for a meal. Great place to stay overall, with a couple of tweeks would be excellent. We would stay again, next family holiday. đŸ€“đŸ€“ Deb, Dave & family.

Restful, quiet, spacious, comfortable

We have had a fabulous weekend away with our family with ages ranging from 84 years to 9 months. 17 of us stayed and everyone of us enjoyed the property. We were celebrating a birthday and wanted a property where every age group was catered for. The playground was a huge hit. And while it is a bit more suited to older children as it's quite steep, it was enjoyed by all. We were able to arrive at the property and not have to leave all weekend. Beds were comfy, there was a good mix of pillows. While the square plates did not fit well in the dishwasher there were plenty of them. Being able to close off areas of the house was a bonus for napping children. Perhaps a bit more information about bringing wood for the firebox would be handy. There were quite a lot of cobwebs around the house, but that could easily be rectified. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be returning. The location was great, a few kms out of Eildon, on the Golburn river.

Simplicity and Beauty

Family of 15 stayed in the house very easily. Photos do not show how beautiful this house and land surrounding is! couldn't believe how private and relaxing our whole stay was. House was fixed with great extras to make our stay comfortable in the heat. Some feedback - more notice on requirements and rules around the house. was only informed 2 days out. Family felt it would have been nicer to have know some details early to make packing easier. especially with needing to provide our own drinking water, plus all Linen in the house. - tea towels, baths mats etc. A second fridge wouldn't hurt to help assist with mutilple peoples drinks/food. Would have saved us bringing up multiple eskies for drinks. Other than that, unreal stay and will definitely return!

Lots of Positives Lots of Negatives

This holiday house has the potential to be really amazing! The location is fantastic, right on the river. The layout of the house and outdoor area is perfect and in its day, it would have been a real gem. Unfortunately, the place has been neglected and has deteriorated to an unacceptable level. Either the Agents/Cleaners are not doing their job properly or the owners just dont care. The house is in desperate need of a deep clean and revamp to justify the prices charged. We found previous occupants hair and dirty tissues in the bathroom, the place is overrun with cobwebs and dead bugs. The bins still contained rubbish from the previous guests. The kitchen has not been cleaned properly in a very long time with a grimy film on all surfaces and the stove and oven completely unacceptable from a cleanliness perspective. Chipped and mismatched crockery and an oven that was difficult to use due to the absence of the so called instructions in the pantry. The BBQ was disgustingly filthy and took over 30 minutes to clean to a barely usable state. We found this all to be quite ironic considering the long list of rules and regulations about caring for the house. Not to mention the fact that there was not a single broom or brush and shovel in the place to sweep up a broken glass (our own) In order to clean up after ourselves, we had to empty a vacuum cleaner that would not work properly because it was full to the brim of other peoples dirt and hair. If you're going to demand that guests leave the place clean, then please give them to tools to do so! I really don't think it is too much to expect a place that is charging over $1000 a night to be cleaned to even a basic level, especially during these Covid times. We would have happily returned to Silverwood under different conditions because we really did love the place but I would not recommend staying here if you have any standards of cleanliness.

A great house for families

We had a great stay at Silkwood on the Goulburn, with almost anything you could need/want in an accomodation.Also very handy having the pub walking distance away.The only negative comment would be that you have to take all your own linen and towels, as for the price, we felt this should have been included.

Very dissapointing

Bbq was filthy and not fit for purpose. If anybody cared it would have been replaced ages ago. No toilet paper provided for group of 17 people..incredible. No salt minimal sugar tea..we ran out. No remote for tv in family area. Flat batteries in remote in lounge so neither tv could be used. No instructions on how to get dirty oven working. Property is overpriced for what you get. Absolutely no support given when concerns raised. Wont be going back.

Great place

Really great place with plenty of rooms for a large group. The small carpet near the fire place was dirty and full of dog hair. There was not enough toilet paper considering the size of the house/ large group stay. kitchen paper towels, bath mats, body wash/shampoo was not provided neither we were told to bring our own. Overall very good place to stay, but some above points need to be considered.

Beautiful spot

We had a lovely stay at Silkwood. I thought it was a little expensive as you had to take everything of your own including wood. It cost a lot extra for the wood that we had to buy at the general store. In saying that there was reverse cycle air-conditioning everywhere so you dont have to use the beautiful fireplaces if you don't want to. My major issues was l rang the number given to see if the bins at the gate were ours and would tĄey like us to bring them in, l was spoken to extremely rudely and nastily. I would have given a higher rating except for that

Great property needing some small improvements

The house is great for large groups - we were a group of two extended families and the property was perfect for the kids to run around. The house itself could have been cleaner and we were disappointed by the small number of utensils provided - there should be at least enough forks and knives for the number of guests staying (I think we had 12 forks total for our group of 14 and there are a total of about 17 beds). Also the pots and pans were all almost unusable - the non stick coating was grimy and peeling off. Small amenities like shower gel, dish soap and enough hand wash would also have been appreciated. Aircon in all the rooms was great and kept us cool - the front lounge room does get quite hot though and only has a fan. Note there is no wifi on the property and reception is very limited. Location was great for access to the river at the back of the property and also a short drive to Eildon and the lake.

Perfect spot for a group getaway

Location was amazing, little bit disappointed with the dam being a bit yucky and the tv in the games room not working with the foxtel or the amplifier but apart from that everyone was in good working order, only thing missing which I’m not even sure it has to provided was a first aid kit Overall experience was great would recommend

Amazing location

The location and layout was fantastic. For our visitors to all have their own rooms and spaces was great. The air hockey, table soccer and darts were much needed activities for the younger members of the group. The grounds are fantastic, with lots of room to move around and for the dog to run and play. Downsides: there was no internet, despite this being advertised; the property was quite dirty (dead flies, dirty sink, debris in the garden, leftovers in the fridge, dirty dishes in the cupboard); had to remove the doona covers present, as these were for 'aesthetics' only; Despite the negatives as listed, we had an amazing time, and yes, I would go back...... The 'downsides' are listed only for informed decision making and to support making the property even better.

Motorbike Riding in the Hill

Fantastic place to stay in a big house with mates, bikes and trailers well off the main road, out of site and safe. Second time we have stayed. Highly recommend and will be back again next year.

Silkwood at Snobs Creek

Our large family group enjoy staying here. The house accommodates us well with plenty of space, 3 bathrooms and 7 bedrooms. The beds are comfy. The house is generally clean but could be improved, ie window and door tracks have many dead blowflies, dirty exhaust fans and cobwebs. Overall a great spot but considering linen and drinking water is not supplied it’s not value for the $s

Weekend at Silkwood on the Golbourn

We has a short Friday, Saturday night stay with our family of 8 Adults, 4 young children a baby and 2 dogs. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend, this is such a beautiful well kept property, the house is large and caters well for family or a group of friends. We had beautiful summer weather, but would be just as nice to stay in the middle of winter. Thank you.

Amazing house for big groups.

We had an amazing time at Silkwood. We were a group of 17 including kids. The house & location offers entertainment for all range of ages. The back deck is incredibly well-positioned providing shade all day, so you can sit and relax even if it is a very hot day. Rooms are great and amenities are perfect for a group of this size. There is plenty of green space, so be prepared to organize activities on the grass. A few suggestions for the host to improve this amazing experience: 1. Would be great if Linen and towels are provided. It can be challenging to pack extra stuff when your car is already full of bags, food, drinks, water, etc. Nevertheless, the hiring link provided worked out perfectly. 2. Given the size of the house, a secondary fridge for drinks would be helpful. We had to use plenty of eskies for this. 3. The kitchen has almost everything you need, however, didn't have a blender. It would've been great having one.
