Located in the Carolina Dunes. Enjoy the best ocean views of the Grand Strand from the private, oversized balcony of this recently and completely updated 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom condo. You will feel right at home in the large open kitchen with beautiful cabinets and granite countertops, washer and drier. The spacious living area and bedrooms have flatscreen tvs, full sized washer and dryer, spacious living room and a private balcony giving plenty of room for you and your guests to enjoy your Myrtle Beach vacation. This two bedroom condo has a king bed in the master along with a full bath, the second bedroom offering two queen beds, and the living room providing a sleeper sofa.

The Carolina Dunes is located in the prestigious Golden Mile section of Myrtle Beach, known for being centrally located to all the Myrtle Beach attractions, shopping, restaurants, entertainment and within walking distance of two restaurants, a bar and Starbucks! The Carolina Dunes also offers a Large outdoor pool and sunning deck with tables, umbrellas and chairs kiddie pool, courtyard, private walkway to the beach, outdoor showers, lobby, luggage carts, free wifi and onsite parking.

All balconies were closed due to an inspection. Locked from the inside. Was never notified in anyway during or after the booking that balconies would not be available, this is one of the main reasons I chose this location to stay.

False advertising

Day one of check-in the beds were not put together meaning the rail underneath of it was hanging over about 8 inch. If I could load a picture I would on day two the balconies were closed down in the entire resort By the city, not safe to take children. if I could load a picture of those memos, I would. . Beaches are beautiful and a good location.. however the balcony closing and maintenance coming in the room to put chains on the doors because of safety issues was enough for me. I’ll never go back.. don’t spend your money here .

Great location and condo

Great condo and view. Kitchen only had very basic cookware and dishes and no hot water to the kitchen sink so had to run the dishwasher more than we liked. Linens were stiff and scratchy but king bed very comfortable. Excellent balcony and nice furnishings.

Loved staying at the Carolina Dunes

We celebrated my daughter’s 7th birthday. She enjoyed the condo and said that the decor was nice! I liked how the condo was well stocked, secure, and in a great location. We will be staying again, for sure.

Property was nice, however disappointed that the pool and hot tub was not available to use. It would not deter me from coming again. Loved the oceanfront condo.

Awesome Vacation

We had a wonderful week at this property. There is an issue with the master bath. The toilet needs repaired. It won't stop running unless you turn the water on and off when you flush. We called and the maintenance person didn't fix it. Also the sink needs cleared in there. The water sits in the sink and very slowly goes down. Other than those issues, which are easy fixed, the place was great!

Buyer Beware

This property is in desperate need of an update!!! We walked on wet towel’s every day we were there. The air conditioner leaked water in the second bedroom floor for two days. The washing machine leaked water in the floor- after washing one load of towels. I called the property managers two separate days. Repairs were made to the air conditioner the next day. Issue’s with the washing machine weren’t addressed at all. Bedding was uncomfortable to say the least. Would I rent at Carolina Dunes 6th floor condo 605 again??? No!!!!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was not terrible. Some small things were in disrepair, but did not affect our stay. Balcony was much smaller than expected, but had a great view. The chairs and table on the balcony were cheap plastic, and uncomfortable. When we were ready to leave, the instructions told us to tear down the bed clothes. Once I did that, the mattress pad, which we were told specifically to NOT wash, looked disgusting. It was obvious it had not been washed for quite a while. If we had seen this on day 1, instead of day 7, it would’ve been an issue. The “spa”, which I’ve always understood to include some sort of heat, was nothing more than what we refer to as a “kiddy pool”. 1.5 feet deep, and felt somewhat colder than the swimming pool water. The front door was very loose fitting into the frame. A large gap when the door was closed allowed a heavy draft, light from outside, and outside noise to come in around the door. The overall general condition of the condo was ok, minus the mentioned issue with the bed.On day 3-4 the power had to be cut off to the entire building mid morning. Maintenance said this was an “unplanned” replacement of something. For this to be done mid morning was a bit of an inconvenience. We do not know how long it was off because we left for the day. When we returned the electric worked properly. Location was great. Steps from the sandy beach. Overall we would consider staying again. But we would definitely check the mattress pad on day 1....

This is our 2nd time staying.We loved it so much,we wanted to come back.I was excited to get the text that our unit was ready to check in several hours prior to 4pm but when I brought some luggage/bags up to the door,the door code did not work.I called and texted but got no answer.I just got lucky that a guy dropping off parking pass envelopes happened to walk by me and got me in with his own code.He then proceeded to call several people to try and get me help.It took over an hour and a half for maintenance to arrive.In the meantime,while waiting,I found some cleaning wipes and decided to start wiping down the counters in the kitchen.I was glad I did because they were filthy.On our 2nd to last beach day,I awoke early to find that our power was out.I was startled because that meant our baby monitor was dead because there is no battery.We notified management again and they said it was affecting several units in the building.They did update us that the power should be back by 11:30am but when it wasn't after 12:30pm we were really at an inconvenience.2 small children and a beach cart with all of our things to take to the beach...on the 6th floor...with no elevator.It was not ideal.Management ultimately offered a small refund which did make me happy that we were at least getting something back.Overall though,we really enjoy the Carolina Dunes location.The unit was nice. Master shower head,abnormally low though. Loved being beachfront,pool,outdoor bathroom,close to Gauchos, etc:)

Wonderful

C’est notre 3e annĂ©e consĂ©cutive avec Luxury rentals Ă  Carolina Dunes. La communication avec l’hĂŽte est toujours rapide, courtoise et impeccable. La localisation est merveilleuse, prĂȘt de tous les attractions populaires en seulement quelques minutes de voiture. La vue est exceptionnelle du balcon, le condo est facile d’accĂšs et spacieux! Mention spĂ©ciale Ă  L’homme qui fait l’entretien des espaces communs (couloirs, piscine, entrĂ©e du building, toilettes communes de la piscine) travaille toujours trĂšs fort pour que ce soit trĂšs propre tous les jours et Ă©tait trĂšs gentil et toujours prĂ©sent! Les seuls points nĂ©gatifs Ă  notre avis seraient que les douches ont un grand besoin d’ĂȘtre rafraĂźchis. Elles sont vieilles et ont de la moisissure, celle de la chambre des maĂźtres est beaucoup trop basse. Le divan-lit est trĂšs inconfortable (autant en divan qu’en lit). Il manque Ă©galement quelques articles de cuisine, pas beaucoup d’assiettes, de verres/tasses et seulement 3 coupes de vin qui Ă©taient vieilles et Ă©gratignĂ©es. L’insonorisation est ordinaire, les chaises du penthouse au dessus de nous faisaient un vacarme incroyable jusqu’à trĂšs tard le soir chaque fois qu’elles Ă©taient tirĂ©es. Ce serait bien de leur mettre des coussinets pour tranquilliser les voisins d’en dessous. Toutefois, nous avons tout de mĂȘme adorĂ© notre sĂ©jour et nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

We're pretty sure our 7-year-old granddaughter could do a better job of painting the rooms, for one. Have y'all never heard of masking tape and a drop cloth? Every single closet door was off its track. The bed covers on all 3 beds were very stained. The skirt on the master bed had what looked like blood on it. The extra blanket for the living room sofa bed looked like it hadn't been washed in years. Rust on countless metal items. The toaster oven, Keurig, and toaster were absolutely filthy and unusable because of it. No ironing board, despite it being listed among the amenities. The master bath blow dryer didn't work - thankfully there was another in the second bath. The window sill in the master bedroom was filthy and disgusting. Mostly broken TV in the living room. Unsecured wifi. Why spend many thousands on granite countertops, modern appliances, and high-end furniture, only to let the whole place down by not keeping it up well? Oh, and there were drunken vulgar jerks in the pool blaring profane music. Screaming kids in Monterey Bay's pool next door until well after 11pm every night too. We enjoyed our stay in Myrtle Beach anyway, but it was despite Carolina Dunes, not because of it. We feel deceived and will not be back. You need to do a LOT better.

Poor Property Management for Carolina Dunes

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Major issue: On day of arrival: 4:00PM No door code received. 429PM Received door code by text AFTER I made 3 unanswered or returned phone calls to management leaving my phone number AND 2 text messages in the span of half an hour. The door code text was immediately followed by a text stating I did not receive the door code as I had given the property management a 12-digit incorrect phone number. I did not. I gave them when making the reservation a phone number with a three-digit area code and a seven-digit phone number. IF I had given them an incorrect phone number, they COULD have sent me a message by email. Didn't happen. 2nd issue: ALL the furniture in the condo was COVERED with thick dust. No excuse for that.3rd issue: TWO blinds in the front bedroom were broken, one leaving a gap between the window and the blind as the broken blind could not be moved, allowing viewing from the outside of the condo inside the condo, a major problem especially at night.4th issue: Balcony door would not open and 2 TVs in the bedrooms would not operate as they had not been programmed for the new Spectrum equipment. I did not use the kitchen so don't know if there were any issues there.

Unit was very nice. Obvious that effort had been put into upgrading furniture, kitchen and bath vanities.

Great way to enjoy the Beach Life

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was as described. Older building, but nicely updated. Spent a lot of time on the beach and in the pool. Location was great if you are looking to be out of the busy area, which is jut south of the condo by about 3 to 4 miles. All in all great view for a good value.
