Spacious Family Retreat

Nestled behind its own private gated entry leading to secluded grounds. Relax in the heated loggia w/ gas log fireplace, gas heaters, bar, pizza oven, and dining area OR on the patio with a wood fireplace, pool table, and heaters, OR chat around the gas fire pit, OR walk around the two acre property and pick fruit, berries, and nuts that are in season. The gate at the bottom of the property gives you direct access to the village walking trails. The property consists of a main house with four bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and a guest house with 4 bedrooms (one being a bunk room with 5 queen/double beds) and 3 1/2 baths and garage. Chef's kitchen features Wolf oven/stove/warming drawers/convection M/W drawer, Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer with glass paneled refrig, copper pounded vegetable sink, farm house sink, 2 Bosch D/W, water filtration throughout the home. Main floor master BR w/gas fireplace and his and her toilets. Two-story library with circular staircase and gas fireplace. Theatre room is equipped with 8 power recliners. The gym is equipped with a treadmill, floor weighted punching bag, several yoga mats, and full-size weight rack.

This is an amazing property. We met here for a family reunion and loved it. It was just as advertised - clean, spacious, well equipped, and beautiful. The kitchen is massive, we had 5 cooks in at once without any trouble. The refrigerator and freezer are large enough to accommodate a large group. The pool and spa were lovely and a big hit. We highly recommend this place.

The house is beautiful. We had family come from all over the country and they were blown away by all of the details in this house. Loved the pool, home theater and putting green. Not to mention watching the sunsets from the outdoor sitting area. From checkin to checkout the owner took care of us. Would highly recommend!!

50th Anniversary

Very lovely Villa stay for our family. So much so a lot of the time we didn’t leave. A lot of things to do & enjoy. Convenient to where we needed to go. Very nice owners to communicate with.

Stunning home on a gorgeous property

The perfect place to host a weekend with 17 adults!! We made so many special memories. More than enough space to spend time together or relax alone. Everyone in our group wants to go back to this property again soon!

Great house. Great property. Great location.

Met all expectations and was a lovely home for our large family reunion. Owners were very responsive and helpful with any concerns we had while staying here (which were very minor). Lots of options for spending time at the house - pool, games, and walks on the property. Within 15 minutes of beautiful beaches and other fun attractions. We’d definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Property w Lots of Amenities

We travelled to California for a family wedding. This property had all of the amenities you could ever want. The location was perfect; close to major highway and shopping. The owners were very easy to contact. They answered all of our questions in a timely manner. We would love to stay here again some day.

If there were 10 stars, I would have put that down! Great house, great owners, great everything!

Robert and Samantha were amazing to work with! We travel a lot for golf and this is our best stop by far!! Friendly, attentive, and returned any phone call immediately. Hats off to them both!!! Will definitely rent again!!!

Family Reunion

The property was fantastic. All the rooms were larger than what the pictures on the Internet showed. It was well-maintained, clean, and had all of the accommodating things that a family needs to stay there for a week. We will definitely consider coming back to this property again.

A perfect get away for a large family!

My wife and I, and our 7 kids with spouses, all had plenty of room and fun at this amazing place. Samantha was very attentive to any questions, and the place's actual layout upon arrival made it even better than we imagined through just viewing the pictures. Whether it was the heated outdoor living area, warm pool, hot spa, playing poker/cards or shooting pool, it was all just perfect for us. I wish we had another week there.

We stayed at this property for an extended visit (30 days), expecting privacy, comfort, and a peaceful environment consistent with the price point. Unfortunately, the experience fell short. Given the number of positive reviews, this was particularly unexpected.Within the first week, issues were significant enough that the host provided a discount. While appreciated, the concern was not financial-it was the inability to have an enjoyable, uninterrupted stay. Several core amenities were not functioning, including the pool temperature control, intermittent Wi-Fi (televisions and theater sometimes unusable), a broken dishwasher, and multiple non-operational fireplaces. Additionally, an alarm system went off randomly in the middle of the night.More concerning was the lack of privacy. Despite confirming exterior cameras were off, they remained motion-activated & there were unannounced entries.The home felt less like a guest property and more like an occupied residence, with extensive personal photos, locked areas, and “no access” signs. Even small details, such as a “no shoes on carpet” sign, made it feel more controlled than welcoming-particularly over a long-term stay. Pool was shallow (mostly 5 ft). At this price level, guests expect a seamless, private stay. Instead, this experience was defined by ongoing disruptions, incomplete amenities, and limited privacy. Future guests, particularly long-term, may wish to confirm expectations around privacy, access, & functionality

I'm very sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay at our property. And as I communicated with you, I was very sorry that the WI-FI did not work those first two days, which is why I provided you with a refund on top of the very reduced rate that I gave you for the long stay. I realize that the Wi-Fi is necessary for the TV and pool controls and I completely understand your frustration with that. However, you were advised how to control the pool heat at the pool, so the lack of Wi-Fi did not hinder you from heating the pool as you did for the entire month stay. And we worked tirelessly to get the WI-FI back up and running by having our IT team working non-stop until it was resolved. In regard to the dishwasher, it was working before you arrived. The repairman found broken wine glasses in the drain and that is why it was not draining properly. Fortunately, there are two dishwashers in the property and since you advised that there were only two of you at the property, that should have been sufficient. However, if you had advised that there were actually several people staying at the property when I suggested sending the repairman, I would have had the repairman right away. In regard to the exterior security cameras, these were turned off. The only functionality they had was the motion-sensor light for your safety and security. I would have addressed this concern if it had been communicated to me at the time. I apologize. Again, I'm very sorry that you did not enjoy the property. I have never had less than a perfect review because I strive to ensure guests have everything they need and everything is functional at this exceptional property. I advise guests to please communicate with me if anything is not to their satisfaction and I will do everything I can to try to ensure their stay is perfect.

90th Birthday Celebration

This property was beautiful and was fabulous for the 20 guests celebrating my mom's 90th birthday. Many of the guests flew in from areas that had already gotten cold, so the warm weather and outdoor spaces were a hit, especially the pool. I can not say enough about how accommodating and responsive the hosts were to our requests. I hope we get to work with them again.

Best location in the Covenant

This property is fantastic and it was a shame that it was just my husband and I (and our pups). There are so many entertaining options on property from the putting green, to darts, poker table, outdoor entertaining areas, fire pits...it was amazing. The kitchen was also perfectly stocked with every cooking utensil, bowl, small appliance, prep tools you could need. The owners are incredibly nice and very responsive. We will be back!

Amazing property

Absolutely stunning home nestled in a beautiful and serene area. Our family, ranging in ages from one to 65 spent a week here. We would not have had to leave the property. The pool and spa were perfect to spend the day with family. The other nice touches, including pizza, oven, golf chipping area, Theater room, were pleasant additions. Each suite was immaculate and comfortable. The host was extremely responsive. Would 10/10 return for another week.

Magical Moments!

We enjoyed our stay at this most amazing home. Comfort, cleanliness, amenities, and accessible communication are a few of the exceptional qualities of this stay. We feel blessed to have the opportunity to be together at such a home that had so much to offer. We swam in a beautiful heated pool/hot tub, cooked in the large stocked kitchen, played cards in the “Game room” and sat by one of the wonderful fireplaces to watch movies. There is something and somewhere to go (for privacy) for everyone. Looking forward to being able to stay here again!

Family Vacation

We truly enjoyed our time together and all the spaces & amenities! The theater was a big hit with the kids! And the pool & hot tub was enjoyed by all! A few hiccups with a dryer & garbage pickup but owners were quick to answer & looking for solutions. The kitchen was wonderful to cook in for 23 people! We have a couple families who now want a new stove...like the one at this house! Location was good - close to our tour destinations but far away from crowds & traffic and in a nice, quiet neighborhood.

Awesome!!!

My side of the family gets together at different locations every couple of years for Christmas reunion. This year, we chose San Diego and picked this wonderful home. The house is well appointed throughout. There are plenty of things to do in the property to keep any ages entertained. We couldn't be happier! We all agreed that it is our favorite home we've stayed at so far.. Thank you Samantha and Robert for making our reunion unforgettable! We couldn't have done it without your home.

Spectacular

The pictures do not do the house and property justice. It is much larger and more spectacular than they could ever show. Our group consisted of eight gentlemen who could not believe our luck in finding such an extraordinary property. It really exceeded all expectations. I cannot recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be returning.

El Rancho Magnifico

We were a group of parents and girls from Australia on a skate tour of Southern California. Before we took the group to the property my wife and I checked in partly to confirm that this property was real and we were not disappointed indeed we could not believe how fantastic it was! We booked for one week and then no one wanted to leave - so we stayed for another 5 nights and we had to drag everyone out on our last day. The communication with the owners was responsive and very helpful. Thank you for having us and we are already planning next years trip!

Simply Amazing!!

Simply amazing! We had our family gathering and this by far is the best home we have ever stayed at. Something for everyone to do. A week wasn’t long enough to enjoy all the amenities this property has to offer. From the walking trails, pool and jacuzzi, poker night, movie night to just lounging around. The big hit was pizza night using the outdoor pizza oven. This home is truly a special retreat. Samantha and the team were great with communication and very responsive to the few questions we had. The family is already asking when we can do this home again! Thanks for a very memorable time!
