Situé dans un endroit paisible Wootton est d'env. 1/2 mile du village de Bashley où vous trouverez une station-service de poste / magasin, 2 jardineries et 2 très bons magasins de ferme. Aventurez-vous plus loin et vous trouverez la ville de New Milton avec une High Street bien aménagée avec des banques, des supermarchés et des boutiques de cadeaux. Une gare ferroviaire principale et un excellent service de bus pour vous emmener à travers la forêt. À seulement 13 km, vous trouverez la ville géorgienne de Lymington avec de nombreux magasins, bars, cafés et restaurants. Les plages de Barton on Sea, Milford on Sea, Highcliffe et Mudeford sont toutes facilement accessibles.

Nice little getaway!

Overall the property is in a great location and convenient to visit the new forest. The property is very well equipped and everythimg is provided for a short stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Our only comment in regard to an improvement is a better quality mattress would enhance the stay.

New forest delight

A compact, cosy, clean and well equipped holiday cottage. A top class welcome and welcome pack, and everything needed for a relaxing visit. Within easy reach of the coast and surrounded by woodland walks. Would love to return, thank you Kay.

The property was absolutely lovely. The owners were so very friendly and helpful. Everything possible was provided for. It was situated in an ideal location for visiting the New Forest and the nearby coast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were sorry to leave.

Beautiful little property

We had a lovely peaceful and enjoyable stay at Twistlewood, the property itself was well equipped and we had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay, not forgetting the lovely breakfast hamper left for us by Kay and Kelvin. The New Forest is so enjoyable seeing all the ponies close up and lovely walks.

Perfect Annex

Fantastic annex, clean, modern, just perfect. The welcoming basket was a surprise and you had thought of everything we could have wanted. Lovely comfortable bed and the shower was heaven!. Kay and Kelvin are very welcoming cannot recommend this property high enough - thank you

Great Base

The property was an excellent base for us during our 3 week stay in the UK. It was very peaceful and was made unique by the visit of forest animals along the track outside the property. The annexe has all the facilities that you need. The lovely basket of goodies on arrival was very welcome. Lovely hosts too!

Fantastic base for exploring the New Forest and beyond. Lovely welcome and a goodie hamper to match! Very friendly but not intrusive owners. Extremely well equipped kitchen. Would definitely recommend.

Twistlewood Annex The New Forest

Fantastic location. Lovely owners, very friendly and helpful. Central to most areas of The New Forest and surroundings. Very quiet even with the visiting ponies and cows. Alfie the springer was a joy and he’s not allowed in the annex. Highly recommend. Enjoy!

All good, great hosts helpful & friendly but not intrusive, The place was big enough for the two of us & kitchen had everything needed. Nice clean modern bathroom & bedroom with TV & enough storage space. Close enough to nice beaches, woods, motorcyce museum & everything we wanted.

The Night From Hell

Everything seemed to be ok, until we were awoken at 2am on the first night by someone screaming "Help!". They sounded extremely distressed. We couldn't see anyone. We were terrified and fled the property. We called the police as we drove away. Since then the woman offered us no compensation as we never stayed there and she spoke to us like we were crazy. Our 3 hours in that annex were the most terrifying of my life and the customer service we received afterwards was atrocious! DO NOT GO HERE!

Twistle down

Very clean and tidy with all the amenities necessary for an comfortable stay for a couple/single. The proprietor, Kay, even provided milk, butter, cereal, bread, jam, marmalade, croissant, which meant we didn't even have to visit the shops on our first evening. Good location inside the national park, wild ponies regularly passing the front of the premises. Thoroughly recommended. Mike and Jenny/.

Hi We are Kelvin & Kay and we have spent many happy holidays in the New Forest, 5 years ago we decided to take the plunge and move away from the hectic county of Surrey. We were very fortunate to have found Twistlewood and have wasted no time in sorting out the garden, and orchard.We also have 5 ducks which have been laying well and many guests have enjoyed the eggs. Kelvin enjoys cooking and baking cakes, you may be lucky enough to taste his Dorset apple cake. We are an easy going couple and when we have time enjoy visiting our local pubs and restaurants.

We chose this location for its rural feel and closeness to the beaches at Barton on Sea and
Highcliffe. New Milton High Street has all we need on a daily basis or we can get to Bournemouth or Southampton if we want to.
