Our family of 5 spent two week here with friends (family of 4) and had one of the most relaxing holidays ever. The house is very well designed and equipped for two families, with a very bright and spacious central kitchen and living area which included all the essential for children (High Chair/ TV / DVD etc). The wonderful outside space includes a large dining area which is perfect for those long holiday breakfasts with fresh croissants and coffee and even longer dinners with BBQ and local wines.
The pool is a great size and it felt very safe for the younger children in the party and parents were able to relax on the comfy sun loungers.
Bread and croissants were bought daily from the village boulangerie and a great selection of fresh produce at the weekly Sunday market held in the village, a bigger shop was in Limogne approx. 4 miles from the house.
Apart from the leisurely routine of rural France (some great local walks looking for treasure), the kids went horse riding and canoeing in the River Lot nearby. There is a Go Ape type tree top adventure in Cahors but we never got around to that.
We also visited the caves at Pech Merle and the delightful village of St Cirq La Popie.
Rodez Airport was only 45 mins away and the city of Toulouse (1 hour) again we had planned but never got there although we gather there is a great space museum!
We loved this holiday and have vowed to return to what we thought was a perfect house.
Lovely property in an unspoilt part of France, with an excellent pool. Quiet spot but with good access to local shops and amenities and great outdoor space.

We bought our house in France about 10 years ago. It is owned jointly by my father and elder brother but has been used by the extended family throughout that time with the result that our own children have learned to love rural France just we we did 30 years ago. Our children were just babies when we first went on holiday to the house with the result that it has been designed to meet the needs of families of all ages with all the modern conveniences that allow you to genuinely relax on holiday. It is not perfect nor is it a show home. It is a genuine family home which has to withstand the rigours of daily life but still allow each and every member of the family to chill out and relax either on their own after a long day in the sun by the pool or together on the terrace for a family meal.
Concots is rural France at its best. Free of the bustle and intensity of urban life, there seem to be more hours in the day and time slows down. Nestled in a gently undulating valley, it is the landscape rather than the buildings that define this part of France. The way we have been welcomed by the local community has been humbling and the invitations to local dinner parties, birthday parties and festivals is testimony to their warmth and hospitality. Don't expect extensive menus or formulaic food. Instead enjoy the beautiful local cooking, full of organic ingredients and washed down with regional wines that cost pennies rather than pounds. Local markets are a revelation, full of life and variety and a reminder of what communities are built on. Food for the belly and soul!
Whether you want to hide away from the world for a few weeks or embrace everything the region has to offer (or even a bit of both), our house is a lovely place to stay. Sufficiently modern to make the chores of daily life simple but traditional in character with a focus on nature, outdoor spaces and the surrounding landscape. We have regularly welcomed other young families of 4 and have found the layout perfect with each family living 'independently' of one another in one suite of bedrooms and bathroom either side of the central living spaces. The car can be become redundant if you choose. The morning walk to the bakery (and a quick coffee at the tabac on the way), lunch on the terrace and a short walk to La Vinagrou for an evening supper under the stars.
