Situé dans un hameau calme, à moins de 300 mètres de la beauté emblématique de Lathkill Dale avec sa rivière cristalline et de belles promenades, et à seulement 300 mètres d'un pub de restauration populaire, ce chalet propose une maison de vacances bien meublée et joliment présentée avec un patio privé et un jardin clos clos pour animaux de compagnie (maximum 2 animaux de compagnie) offrant une vue sur Bakewell et au-delà. Il est situé à seulement 3 km de la ville animée de Bakewell, où il y a un service de bus régulier. De nombreuses belles promenades et pistes cyclables depuis la porte Chatsworth et Haddon Hall sont à 6 km, et les hauteurs d'Abraham à Matlock Bath, le musée du tramway Crich, les grottes de Castleton et de nombreuses autres attractions sont à moins d'une demi-heure de route. This property was perfectly located for sightseeing in the region. We did Nottingham, York, and a bunch of beautiful things in between. The proximity to Chatsworth, Bakewell, Haddon Hall and other more local sights meant it was one of our few trips where we were able to have very short drives to very majestic places many days. Clean, quiet, tasteful, and comfortable, the property was excellent. It had ample parking that was easily accessible. The kitchen had every tool we needed. The town is peaceful with beautiful views and plenty of hiking and biking trails. It was one of few properties we've been to that never once lost wifi, ran out of hot water, or left us confused as to how to work an appliance. You really can't ask for more than that. Thank you for the wonderful week!

The cottage is in a really lovely location. Cows are just a 10min walk down the road and sheep can be seen from afar. Kitchen had all the amenities to cook and we went to the nearby Chatsworth Farm shop which was a 10min drive and full of local produce.

I can't praise this wonderful cottage enough. Pristine inside, i couldn't fault the cleanliness, the facilities, the decor, the comfort of the beds, the quality of the shower, the peacefulness of the garden. All superb.

Beautiful cottage

Had a great stay for my husbands 50th, the host put banners up, and a bottle of Prosecco.The cottage was lovely and well equipped, had everything we needed! Weather was amazing so we did lots of walking with our doggie. Great position for loads of different walks from your doorstep. Local pub is ok, we also stopped at a few on our walks. Would highly recommend.

Perfect location and stay.

We spent a cold and wet weekend in the Peak District but, fortunately, the cottage had everything we needed and was lovely and warm after a cold walk.Lots of walks nearby and the walk from Bakewell to Chatsworth and back was lovely, despite the mud. Bakewell tart also a must. Would definitely stay at the cottage again. My only negative point was the difficulty of negotiating a wet and muddy dog with three wet and muddy adults in the small entrance hallway! A minor point when, over all, the cottage was perfect for our needs.

Cosy cottage in a beautiful location

We loved staying in this cottage which met our needs perfectly. We stayed over Christmas and used this as a base to visit family. We enjoyed several walks from Over Haddon to Bakewell and Lathkill dale.

Home from home

Warm cosy cottage in an ideal location. It was like home from home and had everything for our stay. Lathkill hotel just around the corner with a warm welcome and fabulous home cooked food so would recommend a visit - but take a torch!

Great Stay!

The property is beautiful, the photos do not do it justice. Everything you need is there. Very comfortable and warm. The village is very quiet but on the doorstep of the lathkill dale walk which we enjoyed as so much quieter than the heaving Castleton. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again!

Super cottage in lovely village

Ideal cosy central base for exploring the Peaks. Had everything we required and the bonus of being in a quiet, cute village, which has great views of Lathkil dale and beyond. Excellent walks from the door and well purposed for hiking with the dog.

Great second visit

We went back to this cottage 3 years after previously visiting, and recalling what a beautiful, quiet village Over Haddon is. We had much better weather than last time, which highlighted a minor drawback - we would have appreciated some cushions for the patio furniture. Otherwise, another enjoyable stay in the Peak District.

Excellent cottage and location

Cottage perfect for 4 adults on long weekend break. There is a large double room and small twin single bed room. The small courtyard is safe and secure for our pets. The cottage has everything you need and the extra welcome items were very much appreciated

My stay was not a holiday,it was a quick visit to attend a funeral in a nearby village and the advantage was that we could bring out two border collies and it was great that we could walk the them nearby.

Great stay in a lovely property in an excellent location

Our stay at Sadie's Croft was memorable. It was a short stay but we thoroughly enjoyed it. The cottage itself is tastefully refurbished and very cozy. Everything works well in terms of utilities and appliances so it made things very easy. Parking is right behind the cottage so very convenient. The village is pretty and is extremely well located both in terms of access to pretty Bakewell as well as to some excellent walks along the beautiful Lathkill Dale. Anyone who enjoys that combination should give this place serious consideration. Sally's instructions were excellent and told us everything we needed to know. By the time we left, we wished we could have stayed longer. We would love to return and stay at the cottage again.

We had a lovely few days in this cosy cottage. Everything is finished to a high standard and thought has gone into extra touches like board games, cosy throws for the sofa, and a wrll equipped kitchen.

We have been coming to Over Haddon on family holidays for many years since the children were small, and we are still coming now they are grown up including our granddaughters which is being enjoyed by all.

Over Haddon is a beautiful area with great walks from the door down to Lathkill Dale, the views are wonderful as are the friendly people,
Our cottage is set in a small village with a lovely dining pub and easy access to Bakewell which has all your day to day needs, perfect for a stroll around the unique shops and spend some time in the lovely tea rooms.

Walking in Lathkill Dale is a delight as is The Monsal Trail great bike riding,Horse riding, rock climbing and the Blue John Caverns all close by, and a walk in Chatsworth Park is a must.
