Wonderful place to stay in Hanalei

Excellent place to celebrate a milestone birthday! This property exceeded my expectations. Beautiful, comfortable house steps from the beach and a short walk from town. The house was well stocked with everything a person would need. My family and I loved our time here.

Perfect for family vacation

Our family and all our partners stayed in this home. It was the perfect location for walking to restaurants, surfing, and hiking north Kauai. We definitely would stay here again!

Fantastic location

Loved our stay in Hanalei. The location could not be beat. We had everything we needed including two parking spots. Overall a great place!

Walk anywhere

We loved our stay. Beautiful, clean home. Steps to the beach, walking distance to town shops and restaurants. Easy access to Haena shuttle for the park and a great location to explore all the north shore has to offer.

The small town of Hanalei has a wide variety of interesting places to eat (we love Shave Ice) and places to shop for local-made Hawaiian items. In 2024 Trip Advisor rated Hanalei Bay as the 4th best beach in the United States. And taking the shuttle to Ke’e Beach for the magical sunset and Tunnels Beach for snorkeling with the turtles is a special experience. Great communication with host and we appreciated all of the welcome goodies! The home was exactly as pictured. The views of the lush gardens from the many windows throughout the house were beautiful. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and more. We enjoyed the upstairs porch for reading and listening to the waves. The beach chairs and umbrellas were appreciated and put to good use. Lastly, the proximity to the beach can't be beat and the stroll into town is under 10 minutes. We had an excellent stay!!

Perfect Spot in Hanalei

Our family spent the week before Christmas at Sunset Hale. The location near the beach, proximity to town, everything was perfect. It is a nice beach house with everything you need. We would go back.

Beautiful Vacation Home in Paradise

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our fourth stay at Sunset Hale. Once again, we had a wonderful experience. One of the reasons we love staying at this house is that the property owner/management company maintains the house in tip top shape. This year we noticed that the owner had purchased new beach chairs and cooking pans, and replaced the interior fans, which added to our comfort and enjoyment.

The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils if you choose to save money and eat in. You’ll find beach chairs and a beach umbrella so that you can enjoy the Hanalei Bay beach that is only a few quick steps away. All of our guests receive a gift bag containing gift certificates to some of the local Hanalei shops that provide Kauai-distinctive or exclusive offerings such as Hanalei-grown chocolate, scrumptious ice cream, one-of-a-kind grilled cheese sandwiches with pineapple and or pork, a catered dinner delivered to the house after you have had a busy day, etc. We provide these so your experience is special when you are staying in our Hanalei house. A week in paradise

What a perfect place to stay!!! Right next to the beach and a quick walk to anything you need. The house is equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed fresh fish from the dolphin fish market, ice cream from Pink’s twice and the amazing sunsets almost every day. House is as shown and made for a wonderful trip to Hanalei.

We are so pleased that you used the gift certificate for Pinks Ice Cream (one of 7 items we leave for you in the Gift Bag that you receive when you arrive at the house). The fresh fish and sushi from The Dolphin is wonderful to bring home and eat outside on the lanai (deck in Hawaiian).
