Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the second time we have stayed at the Plantation Cottage, and we really enjoy the serenity and quiet of this little simple cottage. NOT modern, but well appointed and charming in its own way. Once there we find we don't really want to leave, well except for walks to Tahiti Nui, Dolphin fish market, or the great beach just across the road. Napali Properties was attentive to any needs we had whenever we have stayed at one of their properties.

The cottage was exactly as advertised- very private and great location for accessing both the beach and the town of Hanalei. We very much enjoyed our stay!

We absolutely loved this property not just its great location, but the original feel of the plantation house. We loved even during the typical rain that comes through the house still was dry and cozy. The outdoor shower was secluded.

We had a lovely stay in the Plantation Cottage. It is in an ideal location, clean and the bed was super comfy.

Amazing stay!

The Plantation Cottage was great! This cottage is well taken care of and very clean. We loved the privacy and the close proximity to the beach. The sunrise from the porch was great in the mornings. The bed was very comfortable. We have stayed on the north shore multiple times and this is our new favorite. We would love to stay here again.

Plantation Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at the Plantation Cottage in Hanalei. The property is very well maintained and it’s very quiet and private. We loved that it’s walking distance to both town and the beach. Thanks for a great stay.

Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time staying in the little cottage just across the road from Hanalei Beach and within walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. It is an old structure, but so too is Hanalei--that's part of its charm, so it fits in well. It is hidden down a driveway and behind another property, so private and quiet, but with plenty of outdoor space. We were very happy to be staying there, quiet and peaceful. And it grew on us, the longer we stayed.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unfortunately we were there when the property next door was being remodeled, interior and exterior and landscape. We booked a ten day stay which included 1 weekend (when the remodeling work was not happening) so we had a total of 2 quiet days to relax, hear the wind and waves...very disappointing!Years ago we had stayed here and it was fabulous. The interior and furnishing are very old and used and could certainly use an update. Kitchen knives were useless, old, not sharpened and dirty. The knife "block" was pretty disgusting. A hard plastic chopping block would have been nice to have. Some simple tupper ware containers of various sizes would been nice to store uneaten meals or food. The bathroom sink did not drain well and the living room was not lit well and difficult to read abook in durin.g the evening

Winter in Hanalei

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our trip to Hanalei was elevated by staying at the Plantation Cottage. Tucked in a secluded driveway off Weke Rd. next to the beaches Hanalei Bay, the cottage is situated in a large, private landscaped lawn, giving us ample space to unwind, relax and simply be without intrusion. Entering the cottage, we were greeted with an open-air design with lots of screened windows to allow sunshine and breeze into the interior. The living room featured comfortable bamboo furniture and the bedroom was well-apportioned with a cozy California-king sized bed. On the spacious lanai, outfitted with an oversized futon and fans overhead, we enjoyed breakfast of local coffee, granola and fresh fruit. After breakfast, we gathered up beach towels, straw mats, and folding chairs, all supplied with the property. We were happy to have options to choose between walkable beaches, as the cottage is located between the pier and beach park, both with the best swimming spots in the bay. After sunning and swimming, we retired back to the lanai for afternoon drinks and snacks of fresh poke and sushi from the Dolphin Fish Market. In the evening we utilized the charcoal grill for fresh ahi and mahi mahi, cooked in banana leaves for an extra island taste factor, and fresh local produce for dinner. During our stay, we recommended the place to dear friends who also enjoy a slow pace and tranquility when traveling for pleasure. We are grateful for the communication and responsiveness of the kind staff at Napali Properties, who exemplify the aloha spirit. We look forward to booking with them again as we plan our next stay at the Plantation Cottage.

Lovely location with large private yard

The cottage was in a good location, close to the town of Hanalei. I had neglected to look at the fact that there's no AC or heat/cooling pumps, just fans and screened windows. Hence we suffered a bit from the heat, but overall this cottage has a lot going for it. There was some construction noise as early as 7am from 2 neighboring properties, but this won't always be the case.

Great stay

We spent a week in this house and it was wonderful. Super clean, comfortable and peaceful. First time in Hawaii and it felt very authentic. 5min walk from the beach but you can hear the waves crashing from the property. Highly recommend - would stay there again.
