Loved the eclectic place, lots of character while comfortable and well equipped. The host is very responsive and helpful.

The property was perfect for our group of four women. We were surprised by the visit from Emus in the morning. Aaron was very communicative and the beds were very comfortable. While the hot tub was not working Aaron went out of his way to make up for it. We will be returning.

Such a beautiful, interesting and cozy home! We loved every minute of our stay and only wish we could have stayed longer. The house had everything we needed and the host, Aaron, even had candles burning and fresh eggs when we arrived, which was so thoughtful. The house is so interesting and beautiful - we wish we had more time to take it all in. Aaron was relaxed, responsive and very kind. I've stayed in a lot of rentals and this was by far the best experience I've ever had from start to finish. Hope we can stay again!

Beautiful, unique, SUPER comfortable. I loved looking at the tortoises, and we had fresh eggs in the morning from the chickens. I slept in the upstairs bed, which was insanely cozy. We’ll definitely be back!

Unique property. Older home with some fun aspects to it. Spacious and clean. Never rented a home with an emu...or tortoise. Everything you would need if wanting to cook a large meal with family or friends during an extended stay. Appreciated the easy and efficient check in / out process. Would recommend if staying in the Napa / Sonoma area.

Great, unique house close drive from downtown Petaluma!

The house itself is very unique (in a good way), there is a ton of space, and beds are super comfortable! Also in a great part of town that is just a short drive from downtown Petaluma. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful and very unique spot! We randomly chose Petaluma for a girls' weekend and this spot did not disappoint. From the great location of the house to its unique layout to having a well-stocked kitchen (except we couldn't find any sugar - hahaha!) to all the animals we got to experience (tortoises, chickens, emus!), it was a really fun weekend. Our host was very accommodating and answered so many questions to help make our stay comfortable and fun. We event got to enjoy fresh eggs! Thank you so much for that! The only minor kvetch is that the outdoor furniture wasn't clean enough to use and the dining table had crumbs of food (from the previous renters?). We otherwise loved it and would recommend the place to others.Would also like to add that Petaluma itself was a pleasant surprise. We walked downtown from the house and had a really nice time traipsing about town. There were so many cool shops and places to eat. Highly recommend.

Glad you loved the place! I’m sorry you couldn’t find the sugar. It was by the microwave in a Tupperware labeled sugar, but kinda off to the side. As far as the crumbs on the table goes, I don’t know how I missed that. I’m so sorry. I know I cleaned the table, but maybe they were hidden in one of the placemats. Apologies!

Comfortable home

We stayed at Aarons for my Mothers Funeral. There were 5 of us. This was an emotional weekend. This home made it all so much easier. Its warm and inviting. Unfortunately it was raining and cold so we weren’t able to enjoy the patio areas. The cute piglets were a wonderful surprise. The shower is small that is my only complaint ( if that truly is a complaint!) Needed a streamer for our wrinkled clothes. Messaged Aaron at 9:30pm and a streamer was waiting for us at the front door when we woke up! Would stay again! Thanks again Aaron!

Quirky house, good location, bad experience

Quirky house built in the 1930s with a lot of charm. The inside was clean and comfortable but the outside property and grounds were completely unkempt and not as described in the posting. Weeds everywhere, empty hottub with chemicals left exposed, collapsing fire pit, old cooking/catering equipment piled on deck outside master, dirty and broken down outdoor furniture. I aimed to overlook this all since we were on vacation and celebrating my niece's college graduation, but the weekend was overshadowed by a bizarre experience with the owner who asked us to move cars midway through our stay (without previously communicating the rules). Owner became very agitated because I did not see/respond to the several messages through Vrbo, in addition to text and then he showed up unannounced at the front door to confront me in front of my two small children. Unfortunate end to what would have been a nice stay.

You had 5-7 cars stuffed in our shared parking lot. I asked you three times not to block our. Are. Your had far too many people as well. And you were completely rude when I asked you to move the car and left the property without even moving the car. Honestly it’s an entitled people like you that make us not want to rent our home lol

Great location, but needs a lot of help to be a five star VRBO

If you're looking for a great location on the edge of Sanoma and Napa Valley, in a early 1900's build house which is mostly original and you don't mind spiders or spider webs all over in and outside the house. This is the place for you. The host was excellent. Good towles and furnished kitchen. The home and grounds need a lot of work. Its old!! Which was stated in the description. The outside is not kept up at all. Fences falling down, leaves and debris all around. Windows broken inside bedrooms and many light not working with bulbs broken out in the sockets. Spiders were found in the loft bed. Above and around windows. And just about everywhere you looked. Mouse droppings were found in a few drawers/cabnets when looking for kitchen items. That said, its old. Somewhat explected. There was one very small shower to use for the family and one bathtub surrounded by windows with no covers or curtanes to use for privacy. The owner parked his truck and camper on property and came went feely while we were there. This was never an issue at all. Overall we enjoyed our stay, had a great Thanksgiving with family, but would probably not use this VRBO again due to the upkeep and cleanliness of the property inside and out.

Unfortunately we host some guests that make retaliatory reviews when I ask about damaged items and broken house rules. This guest really enjoyed their week at our home., but turned angry and very sarcastic when approached about some missing items., damaged and ruined towels and check out procedures. Guest left many messes around our home and greatly exaggerated most of his comments and criticism. You can hear the sarcastic complaints in the tone of the review which is entirely unnecessary. Guest stayed mid winter… meaning the yard is in winter mode and most of the trees and plants in hibernation. Fences are intact. There are no mice or spiders as stated. I should know live in the house when not rented. This guest also received lower winter rates and a weekly discount., however complained the most and was very diva like. You know how that goes lol. Sad I even have to defend his invalid review. I’m not sure how someone could rent a stated rustic country home and expect the Hilton Suites. Oh well! Can’t please everyone. Also yes. We share a very large driveway and 8 car parking lot … that is stated and shared with all of our guests. It’s the local law to have a granny unit on property while short term rentals are in use here in Sonoma County. I wrote him s very nice review despite them being problematic… because I’m not petty.

Charming house in a quiet neighborhood in Petaluma

The place was as expected- a large house plenty of space for my family of 6 and a cool backyard patio. Parking was no issue and communication with the owner was easy. There are tons of wonderful restaurants within 5 minutes in downtown. Breakfast at Della Frattoria is a must!
