* Privé et calme, vues à des kilomètres. Aucun voisin autre que les vaches.
* 4 chambres, 4 salles de bains, 2 salons, salle de jeux, cour, terrasse, patio, piscine, un grand parking.
* Une table de billard, des jeux pour enfants, des jouets, une télévision, un DVD, et même un VHS avec des films VHS!
* Excellent wifi et réception cellulaire.
* S'il vous plaît noter: il y a des grilles de bovins empêchant les vaches d'entrer dans la zone près de la maison, mais vous devrez conduire lentement si le troupeau paît sur la quarantaine inférieure, car il n'y a pas de clôtures là-bas, et les vaches tendent à se promener sur la route juste quand on se rapproche. Vaches heureuses...
* Piscine entièrement fermée - pas chauffée, donc c'est amusant en été, mais un plongeon froid sinon.
* Deux cheminées, bûches fournies.
* Nouveau barbecue à gaz sur la terrasse arrière - Apportez votre viande, c'est le paradis des barbecues.
* Ceci est la famille ultime et la maison de groupe.
* Ouvrir la cuisine / salle à manger / salon, ouvrant sur le pont, de sorte que ceux dans la cuisine peuvent encore faire partie de l'action.
* Décor de la vieille école - C'est tellement rétro et réel, c'est cool.
* Très grande empreinte - c'est une très grande maison solide, avec la plupart des chambres ayant leur propre salle de bain privée complète.
* La chambre pour enfants / célibataires comprend quatre lits simples à baldaquin. Classique.
* Professionnellement géré par une petite entreprise locale et familiale. Nous sommes disponibles 24/7/365. Ceci est ce que nous faisons.
* Notre équipe de nettoyage reçoit un salaire de subsistance de 25 $ l'heure. Ce que vous payez pour les frais de nettoyage est exactement ce qu'ils ramènent à la maison. Nous utilisons tous les produits de nettoyage "verts", nous avons tous des enfants, c'est très important pour nous.
* Nous avons une caméra de vidéosurveillance sur le parking (seulement), ainsi que des membres de la famille qui vivent dans le ranch principal. A Paradise in the Middle of Nowhere

While some of the home is a bit dated, the essentials were updated, and everything is quite functional. It was exactly what we were wanting for a family gathering. The views are incredible. It was a wonderful time for our extended family.

Great views

Perfect place for a family getaway. The house and furnishings are a bit older but the place was clean and very well stocked. Everyone thought the beds were comfortable and the kids loved the pool. Great launch point for Point Reyes, Muir Woods and all points Marin. Also close to a few roadhouses with music and food in the evenings if you don’t want to cook.

Perfect retreat setting

Brought a team of 7 together for a company retreat and this place was magical! The views are stunning, and the space was comfortable and a great location to enjoy west marin.So grateful, and everyone wants to come back!

Great place at a very reasonable price

We had a great time here. The place is really big and has a nostalgic feel. Lots of hikes and things to do nearby. We stayed here for 3 nights at were a group of 9 people. The space is big enough for that and maybe more!

Great house for all ages

The house has everything you might need to enjoy yourself in West Marin County. It’s high on a hill with a beautiful view of the CA hills. It would be appropriate for all ages. The pool was lovely! Four bedrooms gave everyone in our family a sense of privacy while enjoying each others company. Fairfax and Pt Reyes Station are close by if you want night life.

So homey!

This is our 2nd time around and we are looking forward to a third. This a truly a home away from. Well-stocked and roomy. The kids enjoyed playing the piano and the full size pool table. And the views are jaw-dropping.

Family trip

The property is in a gorgeous setting, located in the hills north of San Raphael CA. It is located on a working farm, but we were never bothered by any of the workers. Cows and some other wildlife roam freely across the hills, and occasionally across the driveway as you enter and exit. We found it charming. The inside of the house is dated, but clean. Some features need to be fixed. Some of the mattresses were very old and lacked support. One of the toilet lids was broken and fell off just about every time you used it. There was a crack in the counter under the stove and the broken part had moved, creating a dangerous edge that jutted out about hip high. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies and utensils. The bathrooms were well stocked with towels and soaps. The outside deck could use a good power spraying, but when you sit inside and look out at those hills you forget all about it. Overall we were very pleased with our stay. These items I mentioned were fairly minor and easily corrected.

Truly a special place

We were there for our daughters wedding that was in the area. We had our kids and grandkids. The house had everything we could have ever needed. Super spacious and we could relate to so many things about the house from our own family houses. The view and privacy were both amazing...thanks for sharing this family home with our family. We felt the love.

Home

We rented Grandma's House for a gathering of our family for our small wedding up the road in Nicasio. From the start, the property manager was responsive, communicative, warm, and professional. Even before we arrived, we had a sense that this was a different home than so many generic homes available to rent. When we arrived, we had explicit directions which were perfect. A rural area with a dairy farm, what better place for a family gathering? The home is a snapshot in time. A mid-century family ranch home filled with all the necessities of life - a beautiful kitchen with every comfort of home, even a french press (and coffee maker) and baking pans! We made good use of the space and it quickly became the heart of our gathering. The open floor plan into one of the sitting rooms allowed us to have memorable conversations over prepping meals and the sliding doors to the back deck invited us to enjoy our morning coffee outside while enjoying the view of the surrounding hills, mist, wildlife, dairy farm, and cows. Simply charming. Each of the bedrooms was comfortable. While some guests were less impressed with the mid-century decor, we found it reminiscent of our own family memories. As artists, we find this authentic and unpretentious. How delightful to maintain the family's presence and not replace it with shoddy press-board staging furniture and beige. We are so glad we stayed here. It felt like home. Looking forward to visiting again.

Just as described

We were a group of ten, ages 7-66. Visited Grandma’s Ranch for 7 nights at the end of July 2022. The house was perfect for our family gathering. It was an hour drive to get to Point Reyes Lighthouse, Armstrong Woods, and downtown (Fisherman’s wharf). About 25 minutes to get to nearby grocery store. We appreciated the rural and quiet surroundings. The pool was a hit with the kids. It was chilly even in the summer, but kids were brave enough, adults not so much.

Wonderful weekend

Hands down, a wonderful property! Great view, great location, spacious rooms, nice kitchen well stocked! The rooms and the communal hangout space are separated, which allowed those who want to rest, to do so without being disturbed. Highly recommended!

Five million stars and double rainbows

We all loved the 360 degree view of Nicasio Valley! We meditated on the sunrises and sunsets. We loved the fog as it rolled in and out and sometimes covered us completely! The first week of October we enjoyed the pool, and some of us even bathed during the hailstorm which accompanied the atmospheric river/bomb cyclone of October 2021! The house itself is huge - I worked on my laptop 5:30-8:30 am in the room with the pool table which is very very far away from the bedrooms. Other people stayed up really late, listened to music, watched TV or had heated discussions in the kitchen but I never heard anything because there are like 3 doors (and long hallways) between the bedrooms and the kitchen. We loved the sweeping views from the big living room, it is very comfortable! The laundry room was so handy because we were working out hard every day. The towels and sheets were wonderful and clean. I thought the beds were like sleeping on a cloud - much more comfortable than my bed at home. I liked the cabinets, closets and drawers to put our clothes and supplies in. Also the pantry cabinets were spacious and awesome. Plenty of pots and pans and dishes. One lady brought her juicer so we went to Novato (TWICE) and bought tons of fruit and filled up that second fridge completely and we all drank fresh juice every day. There was plenty of parking, everything was easy to operate and navigate, also every time I asked a question I got an answer immediately so that was especially nice. The surrounding area has so much to offer in terms of natural beauty, fun outings, nice people, places to eat, and the fresh fresh air! Wow! And the stars at night, and the rainbows!

Quiet solitude with beautiful views

Grandma's Ranch house was very well equipped and spacious. There were 6 of us in total ranging from 5 years to 70. Everyone in our party could easily find the space needed for reading, playing, napping, swimming, biking, puzzling, watching the organic dairy cows down the hill, etc. Great layout. We also really appreciated the earth conscious products found throughout the home and the well stocked kitchen. It's clear someone takes the time to keep the interior well organized and functional for guests. Thanks you for a wonderful stay.

Incredible Views

Our family was here for a nearby wedding in Nicasio. It was really wonderful for us to all get together. The floorplan of the home is really layed out very well. The bedrooms were together down a long hallway. The kitchen, living area and family room were at the other end. It was perfect if people wanted to get up early and not disturb the others. The views from the home are stunning. We had to make sure all the screen doors were closed because there are a lot of flies due to the dairy farm down below. We used the outdoor bbq several times. It worked perfectly. The pool is beautiful but it was too cold to enjoy. Maybe a solar cover would have warmed it up a bit. The beds in the home were very comfortable. Everything was clean. It was great to see all the retro furniture. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. There was plenty of oils and spices for us to use. We appreciated the green cleaning supplies provided. The home was a great place for our family and we would definitely stay again.

Beautiful Place....Wonderful Trip!

This place is amazing. We had a family of 10 come from Florida. We were looking for a place to enjoy family time as one of our family members is battling cancer and seeing the Red Woods was on his bucket list. This place passed our expectations. They were great to work with, very accommodating. We are wanting to visit again annually as a family.

Charming ‘70s ranch home, high in the hills of Marin, stunning sunrises and sunsets!

This home was well equipped in the kitchen, with abundant staples and equipment. The well written guest book provided all information for things worth seeing, restaurants, shops, trails day trips, cheese shops, etc. The home is bright, very clean and furniture and beds a bit dated (hence “Grandma’s House”), but otherwise, a lovely experience in spectacular scenic grandeur that is a rare find.
