The place was great. Easily accommodated 4 adults and 4 grade-school kids. The host was very responsive. Heads up, Canyon Lodge is ~0.3 mi so keep that in mind if you have small ones and equipment.
Mary Beth was very helpful in making the reservations to following up on questions , etc. Great layout Liked having three bathrooms and a nice sized kitchen for a group. Great location to biking and hiking trails.
We brought our 3 young children and their grandparents with us. The condo had everything we needed. It was spacious, comfortable and the amenities were fabulous! It was a great family vacation!! We hope to return soon!
Have stayed here with my family several times and it really is the best. Can't beat the location, hot tub, sauna and the house itself. Best of all in a week with 3 feet of snow is the enormous garage with plenty of room for our oversized beast of a truck. Host was accessible and incredibly helpful. Great to stay with someone who cares so much about their home.
Beautiful property and great location! Walking distance to the lodge, gondola and buses. Mary Beth, property manager was professional and helpful. It was nice having a garage and EV charger.
This property is cozy, clean, and has everything you need for a perfect Mammoth visit! The location is central to everything and we loved being so close to the main Mammoth bike/walking path. The beautiful kitchen is perfect for cooking and the open concept is awesome for groups to gather together. The layout of the home makes it work for both small and large groups with plenty of beds and bathrooms. We are grateful that such a beautiful place is dog friendly and we would definitely stay here again!
Great location, great space for group or family gathering. Close to Canon Lodge, ski locker at the lodge, hot tub in lanai. Great big kitchen. We had the best Christmas with our family. Need a car to get around. Love to come back again.
Mary Beth's place was wonderful! Well stocked and perfectly located. We parked the cars in the garage and took the convenient shuttle buses everywhere. Mary Beth was easy to reach and extremely accommodating. When the oven didn't work the first night there, she had it replaced the very next morning. I highly recommend it as the perfect place to stay and ski in Mammoth!
We were 2 families at the condo. When we arrived we were very impressed since the listing was very accurate. The property was well maintained. The two master bedrooms were very spacious and comfortable. The room with the bunk bed and Xbox perfect for our kids. The best part Mary Beth, the owner, very easy to get hold of and responsive and super nice. Perfect location and comfortable condo. Will definitely go back and recommend to all my friends.
My family enjoyed a great ski week in Mammoth at this clean, spacious condo. This is the first place Iâve rented with easy direct access underground parking. We didnât have to worry about being snowed in during our spring trip, but the parking itâs definitely a huge plus for anyone going when itâs snowing. Very walkable to Canyon Lodge with its own owners locker to store your gear. Communication with the owner/management was excellent, check-in was easy, comfortable bedrooms and nice bathrooms, couldnât ask for more. We canât wait to come back!
Our family is a frequent traveler to Mammoth. It's become quite a tradition! We have two three-year-old toddlers, so finding a family friendly, yet luxious stay is a MUST! This quaint getaway was the SPOT! We will no longer need to Google a place to stay. Mary-Beth and her team were professional, courteous and helpful. Look for us to book again! This place is great for families with little ones because it comes with all the amenities. And yet, older couples will enjoy the quiet surroundings and hot tob. Honestly, this place is amazing.
There was not one thing to complain about when staying at this beautiful cabin. The whole family including our dog felt the cozy vibe this cabin provided. We loved the connivence of being walking distance to Canyon Lodge and utilizing the locker accomadtion provided. Mary Beth the owner was prompt with any questions we had during our stay. Having a large dog kennel, pack and play, and high chair already at the cabin was ideal. The kids room was also a great addition to occupy the kids with video games and a foos ball table. We will definitely be back!
We loved this property and would definitely stay again or recommend to others. We had 7 adults, 2 kiddos, and one dog in our party and this condo housed all of us nicely. The condo is very spacious, clean, and ideally located. The pictures are a very good likeness of what the condo looks like in person. I liked the fact that Mary Beth was so responsive and easy to reach; it really felt like she wanted us to have the best possible experience in her rental. There are stairs to climb from the garage to the second floor but it wasn't an issue for us. We didn't find a garage clicker to use but again, not a big deal for us. This condo worked out great for our visit. I think you'll be happy with your choice if you stay here!

Cozy, warm, and all the amenities!
This is our second year in a row spending a week at this beautiful home, Sonenalp Unit 3. By far the best location of any rental we've ever had in Mammoth. Few minutes walk to Canyon Lodge and a locker to store all the ski equipment every day rather than hauling back and forth. Gondola to Village or Shuttle right outside the house to Village, or just 3 minute drive to Village. Awesome Chef's kitchen for our great family dinners. Can't stress enough how warm and cozy it is and the beds are sooooooo comfy. The garage to accommodate our two cars was perfect since we had a couple of snow storms come through the week we were there. Clean and well-maintained. Great customer service. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. Owner Mary Beth was quick to respond to every question!
Our condo welcomed us in flawless condition! If you do Mammoth, you should definitely stay at one of their two Sonealp condos. This spacious getaway has it all:
- Outdoor jacuzzi (perfect for those cool nights)
- Cuisinart Espresso Machine
- Indoor Parking (no bears to worry about!)
- Xbox 360 for the kids (they have tons of Halo games too!)
- Every utensil that you have in your own kitchen is stocked!
- Board games (their Jenga set also doubles as a guestbook, so cool!)
- Fully stocked outdoors closet with 6-8 sleds!
- Pack n' Play for the baby!
- Satellite TV and super-fast wifi!
- So much more!
Mary Beth catered so well for us. You can tell she cares about people and desires to make them feel welcome. It was so nice staying somewhere that was secure, spacious, and serene. For 2 of our 5 days we had blizzard conditions. This could have potentially ruined our trip, but with so many amenities, we felt right at home and enjoyed some cocoa by their fireplaces! This place will forever be our "go to" for Mammoth!
This property was more like a large, comfortable, cozy house than a condo. The walking distance to the Canyon Lodge is fantastic. The two-car garage was awesome. The locker provided by the owner at the Canyon Lodge so you don't have to schlep things back and forth fit 3 pairs of adult skis, 3 pairs of adult ski boots, 3 pairs of poles, 5 helmets. For our 4 days of ski, it was wonderful. Our two boys had to carry their snowboards back and forth, but who cares, they looked "cool" (at least that's what I told them). The bedding was so, so soft and comfortable. Wonderful, after a hard day of skiing. The private jacuzzi right outside on the balcony only to be shared with one other unit was perfect. Large jacuzzi, great views. We actually never coincided with the travelers in the other unit in terms of our spa use. The kitchen was fantastic for our gourmet meals every night and our awesome breakfasts every morning. The kids enjoyed their private lair in the kids bunk room. For loading and unloading purposes, this is a top unit, and from the garage, it's about 4 flights of stairs, but if you walk in from the front door of the building, it's only two. The property owner/manager was very quick in responding from booking and through the end. Would definitely rent this place again.
I give this place 4 stars. The way they handled other issues while staying at the property took them from a 3 to a 4. Would have been 5 stars if the quality of the beds were better in all rooms.
We love Mammoth for its idyllic weather, breath-taking beauty and unique vibe and we spend as much time at our homes in Mammoth as we can with our children and friends enjoying the year-around sports, activities, festivals.
We love having the opportunity to share our homes with you! In the summer we hike, bike, kayak and fish. We live for the winters, of course, when we take every opportunity to ski, board, sled and play hard. Both families had visited Mammoth for many years but as soon as we saw Sonenalp and its ideal location we knew these homes were perfect for us!
For several years we searched for the perfect home away from home in Mammoth. After looking at countless properties we started to think we'd never find our dream home. But we lost our hearts to Sonenalp #3 the first time we drove up to the wide front porch and warm wooden double doors. The location is ideal to discover all that Mammoth mountain has to offer with easy access to winter slopes & summer hikes and an easy downhill stroll to town. In addition to the great location, the condo was built with the utmost attention to detail. All materials, fixtures and appliances are top of the line. The gourmet kitchen is a chef's dream and the open floor plan is perfect for entertaining and socializing. We've updated the furnishings with high-end furniture and luxurious linens so that it lives like a home. Lastly, because the complex only houses 4 units in the building, this condo feels more like a single family residence than a condo. We know that you will enjoy our Mammoth home just as much as we do.
Sledding hill in the backyard, protected from the street. Backs to single family homes. Very easy walk to Canyon (check our reviews!) Downhill walk to the Village. Two shuttle stops within 50 feet of the building. (#74/#75) Located on Lakeview, a town-maintained well-plowed main access road to Canyon.
