We loved the location. It was very convenient to everything. We didnât really like the balcony. It felt very unstable. The space was big enough for us and having our own bathrooms was a plus.
Good time by all. There was some trash under two of the twin beds. It was clean other than that. One of the elevators tore up, for a few days. It made ours crowded. But had a good us
This particular unit needs major updates. Ice maker did not work; beds were very uncomfortable, especially the master. Kitchen appliances very old. Balcony table and chairs very cheap. Beautiful beach/ocean view.
Communication with Dunes Reality along with their maintenance and housekeeping crew was great. Due to shortage of workers everywhere including housekeeping, the condo had not been throughly cleaned. Debbie, from housekeeping, came immediately when called and took care of the issues. The keypad the owner installed quit working the day after check in. The maintenance crew came immediately and tried to fix it. It continued to malfunction, so they installed a lock and key system. The owner evidently was not happy with that, so they came the next day and reinstalled the faulty keypad. It continued to malfunction. Maintenance came back the following day, and they also had difficulty with it.
They said safety was their concern, so they reinstalled the lock and key system again. I was happy with the quick responses of maintenance and housekeepingâŠ. Not happy with the owner insisting that the faulty keypad be installed again. The condo itself could use some updates, but overall it was fine.
Great location and plenty of space for a family of 5. The furniture needs cleaned the chairs and couch were gross. I had extra bed linens to place on the furniture. Also dealt with cockroaches and ants in the kitchen for the week. They did send somebody in to spray but not what I wanted to deal with on vacation. Also the balcony railings are rotted and falling apart, rusted nails sticking up. we did call maintenance to come in and he hammered the nails down but it was something that shouldâve been taken care of before anybody rented the condo. Huge safety issue. They also brought use new chairs for the balcony the ones there were broken and moldy. Again I feel this should have been flagged by housekeeping or when they walk through to inspect the condo.
It was a great stay overall. We've been in Sea Master before, and the unit was just as pictured. Great for a family vacation. Just a couple of issues, mostly pretty minor. First, we arrived about an hour after possible check-in, and the Realty office was great. I waited in line very briefly. The problem was that the Realty office did not have the up-to-date code for the property on file. They had to contact the property owner to retrieve the code, and we had to wait some 45 minutes for him/her to respond. I've had other VRBO stays that had much better communication/coordination throughout.
Second, on one of the first mornings of our stay, we noticed that the temperature in the unit was a little hot. We might have had the thermostat set for 73 but it was 78 or 79. The fan had been coming on, but cool air was not always circulating. This concerned me because of the potential of heat later in the day, so I called maintenance. After a brief checkup, the technician said that the A/C unit was running properly. By late morning, it was indeed running well enough that the temp had come down as it should. But over the next few nights, this problem persisted. Most nights it was imperceptible since the unit ran fine into the early morning. We would just wake up and find that the temp was around 80 degrees. Our last few nights, the A/C was not running well in the early evening. At this point, it seemed like more of a hassle to contact maintenance again, but it was a persistent annoyance.
