I loved that this property was right on the water but far enough away I was not afraid of my littles going outside. The access to the water is a sandy beach which was perfect for us. The kayaks were so fun and the pergola was perfect for shade. The kitchen had everything we needed. The whole house felt really clean and well maintained. I love the original tile in the bathrooms and would definitely book again. Thanks so much for such a wonderful stay.

This is a beautiful location, the house reminded me of my grandparents place in the 1980’s (in the best way possible). Super responsive host and even helped return a forgotten Nintendo Switch when we left. They also let us bring all 3 of our small dogs. The only thing to mention is that the yard is full of a lot of stickers which get stuck in doggie paws and water shoes but once you get used to it and do inspections daily it’s easy to adjust. Overall, still highly recommend. Walking straight into the lake was amazing.

The property was exactly as advertised clean and ready for us to move into. Excellent location right on the Llano River with a great beach. Tracie, the property manager, was great she came over as soon as called, when there was an issue, and stayed to make sure everything was satisfactory. Stayed fo 72 days and looking forward to returning next winter.

Very nice lake house

This house had everything we needed plus a kayak and the owners were very helpful and responsive when we asked them about area amenities. The beach by the lake is nice.

Incredibly clean house and relaxing location

The house was impressively clean and well stocked . The beach area was perfect for the kids. For the younger ones there was plenty of shallow area to swim in the sandy river bottom.

Perfectly peaceful

The house was clean, and although it definitely looked retro, it felt well taken care of. The view was beautiful, and we had a wonderful time.

Prefect Spot

Cool house in the best location. The beach and water front was some of the best we have seen on Lake LBJ and the views across the rive/lake were breathtaking with no houses to mess up the natural beauty. Proximity to the river up stream for floating and deep water in front of the house for boating made for endless possibilities. we will be back shortly!

Very nice, tidy house. Clean, great air conditioning. Older house in great condition! The beach is a bonus! It’s like staying at the beach of an ocean without the sharks and the salt. What’s not to like?

Great weekend

The house was great. It was clean and had everything we needed. Our only frustration was one day the number of boats that came up and parked right on top of us! Other than some rude people we encountered, our stay was fantastic! We will come again, just not on such a busy weekend!

Happy Hideaway!!

Where do I begin?? We are local to the area, but needed a house on the lake that would hold everyone that was coming in for a visit. It had everything we needed, and the pictures did not do it justice! It is a quaint vintage home that is absolutely precious! Being able to sit out in the water on your own sandy little beach is a rare find! The pool table and shelf full of games were a major plus as well. Beyond happy with our stay!

Clean Retro Lake Stay

My family and I booked this house last minute and were throughly impressed. Communication with the owners was easily five stars and so was the property! While to some the house may seem outdated, it was in excellent condition and gave us a nostalgic feeling all weekend. We loved the beach and the kids (6 and 2) had so much fun playing in the sand, playing board games, swimming, and resting. If I had to choose one thing I wish the house had that would be a king size bed, but for a quick weekend trip you really can’t beat this house or the location. We plan to come back!

Sweet home

We all loved this home! It is kinda dated but that made it more special! My granddaughter love the pink tile bathroom! Very well stocked, so many games, the pool table was a big hit! The guys enjoyed it so much! Oh the beach was amazing if u put on extra thick boots to get to it because the sticker burrs are brutal! Definitely need to treat the yard or warn people how bad it is!

Wedding Week

We rented this house and another one a few doors down for our son's wedding week. The girls stayed in The Hideaway. It was a great home. The owners went out of their way to make it special for my daughter in law and her bridal party. The water on the Llano is beautiful. Our great neighbor, Bret, who helps guest at the two houses was also awesome. Everything from our stay, to the rehearsal dinner, to the wedding were perfect. Thank you so much!!

Vintage Lake House

We recently stayed at the lake house for Memorial Day weekend. The property was perfect for our party of four. The house was spacious and well-stocked with everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen, a pool table, and a game room. The hike down to the lake was a bit of a challenge, but the views from the top were worth it. Once we got to the lake, we were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The water temperature was perfect for swimming. Our dog loved playing in the water as much as we did. We would definitely stay at this property again. Here are some of the things we loved about the lake house: • The location: The house was located in a quiet neighborhood • The amenities: The house was fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. • The views: The views from the house were amazing. We could see the lake and the surrounding hill country. • The access to the lake: The access to the lake was easy. There was a gentle slope down to the water, and there were tables and chairs set up for us to use. • Our dog loved it: Our dog loved playing in the water as much as we did. There was plenty of room for him to run and play. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the lake house in Kingsland, Texas. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun getaway.

A fun little house on the lake, but the property needs some cleanup

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this property. The location on the Llano arm of Lake LBJ is great. The water is navigable but there is not a ton of boat traffic this far upriver. There is a small beach area on the property where the kids could play and where we left our pontoon boat tied up overnight. There is ample parking, and the driveway is fairly easy to enter and exit with a boat trailer. The house itself is retro-fabulous but seems well kept on the interior and generally clean. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, cookware, etc. and leftover consumables from past guests. Accommodations are a little cramped for two families of four, but we made it work by relegating our teenage boys to the sofas. We did have some trouble with the hot water being unpredictable. The biggest issue we had with this property was the lawn being overrun with grass burrs. It was nearly impossible to walk through the grass without them sticking to your shoes, socks, or skin (ouch!). We basically had to trespass on the neighbor's lawn to walk between the house and the lake. In addition to the grass burr issue, there was uncollected trash on the grounds and by the grill, and the grill itself was grungy and full of spent charcoal. In summary, this little lake house has a lot going for it and is a good value. However, the condition of the grounds did not meet expectations and held it back from a five-star rating.

Everything we needed

We stayed in at this property for 5 nights during the week. We had 3 adults and 3 children in our group and the home worked perfectly for us. While the property is vintage, it is exceptionally clean! The twin bunk room worked well for my kids and the third bedroom was great for my friend and her toddler. I also enjoyed having a second bath in the master. I will say the beds were very firm so I would suggest a topper to soften it a but. The master shower is was very small for my 6'4" husband but this is due to the age of the home. Outside the home we loved the back porch for morning coffee or an evening drink. The beach area was perfect for our kids and we were able to leave our pontoon boat beached for our stay. The driveway was long and had plenty of room for our boat trailer. We even went down to the crossing and played in the current called slide rock for a bit. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the lake, this is a great property!

We love the vintage home setting.

The kids had a great time in the kayaks! Fishing and swimming! We all enjoyed the home. It was like being home away from home! The only thing that is needing anything is the mattress. It was real firm. Maybe add a bed topper to help. Overall it was awesome! We can’t wait to go back!!

Beach Beach Beach

This is our 2nd time staying at this house. There are 8 adults and we loved it. The sandy beach is in the back yard and the water is really clean with a sandy bottom. We spent a lot of time on the back porch looking at the water. It is very relaxing.
