Very roomy and comfortable. Beautiful views off the deck and the sheep were fun. Great kitchen and bath with good water pressure. We hope to return soon. The only suggestion is a small washer dryer would be nice if there is a way to get it in.

This was such a great spot for my time in Mount Vernon! The property was spacious, tucked away, and full of natural light! The venue was super clean, checking in was easy, Alex was super responsive to some little questions as they come up! My friend and I had a great time!

My husband and I booked this amazing Barn for the weekend as our son's wedding was only 1 mile down the street. The driveway is hidden, the property is gorgeous and the house, oh my goodness so beautiful, open living area, the bedrooms are very spacious and the bathroom loved it,. Friday night we utilized the hot tub which my back was so grateful for Alex was so responsive every time I reached out to him. We only have great things to say about this property and the host.

This was an amazing spot! Not too far out of town, but still secluded enough to be private. The property was beautiful, and we really appreciated being able to bring our dogs. Great amenities inside and out!

Great spot between Seattle, Vancouver, and the North Cascades National Park.

Clean, simple, and farm friendly! The kids enjoyed the spacious bedroom and living room/kitchen. They also enjoyed feeding the goats and sheep.

Another wonderful weekend at Avon Acres

This was our third stay at Avon Acres, and our first in the barn apartment. The space is clean, comfortable, and functional, the views are lovely (so many swans!), and the kitchen is very well appointed. 5/5 will come again :)

Wonderful stay for NW adventures

This property had everything we needed and more! We had a great base camp very near tulips, fun La Conner food and riverwalking, and some very nice San Juan state park views. The property was centrally located in a beautiful country setting and had very comfortable beds and lots of wonderful amenities like a hot tub and walk-in shower. They also supplied a few bins of fun toys for our 2 and 4 year old to enjoy. Owners were very responsive for questions - overall a wonderful stay!

Mount Vernon Barn Apartment

The finished area over the barn was fantastic. Two nice bedrooms, good sized bathroom and large kitchen/open area. Sliding door to balcony with great sunsets over the San Juan’s. Large property with fenced in grass area and sheep/goat pen. Was perfect for our group.

Great place to stay will definitely be back. Interesting event, as we were leaving for the day a vehicle with a man and woman pulled into the yard, it parked and the male exited. I'm in public safety so my Spidey senses started tingling. The male went through inside the lower level and was did exit for several minutes. When he did I introduce myself and he introduce himself as Alex. It was awkward he was standoffish and said they were heading out of town. Nothing wrong with that just never had something like that happen before in the owners arrived unannounced and act in that manner. I was expecting a little bit warmer reception from a business owner. We loved the location and loved the property highly recommend.

Home away from home

Absolutely incredible place well equipped with everything we needed for our 15 month old. I was surprised with the amount of toys! Everything was spotless and the rooms were super spacious, especially with the pack n play for our kiddo. I only wish we would have used the hot tub more, but that was super clean as well! The grandparents even decided to join us on the trip last minute and it didn't feel crowded at all. Definitely top 2 favorite stays we've had in the past 10 years and fantastic first family vacation with the baby :)

This is a lovely property - a charmingly updated "barn house" property, very neat and clean. Unfortunately, it wasn't advertised that you had to ascend steep and dangerous stairs to get to it. Also, the deck had a hole that seriously needed repair. Smallish overall but good gathering spaces. .

Amazing

The home was very clean. As this is one of the first trips out since Covid, my husband and I were very concerned about finding just the right place. This place totally fits the bill! Amazing views. Farmland all around including chickens and goats. Even though it rained off & on while we were there, when the sun did come out it provided for amazing sunsets from the deck. Kitchen was fully stocked as well. We found it very warm & cozy with a host who was very responsive. We would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful, quiet stay at the barn. Loved the sunsets and the spacious main room. Spent two nights here visiting North Cascades...about 90 minutes to the visitors center and 2.5 hours to Washington Pass--not bad at all. Beautiful drive!

private, country retreat

From beginning to end this place was perfect. First impression was striking with the view from the back deck looking out over the fields and mountains with a sunset view. The hosts had a welcome bottle of wine which was so nice to enjoy on the deck. It was clean, open, bright and had plenty of space for us to even have our extended family for dinner one evening. The hot tub was also very relaxing. Alex was a very gracious host even when I got mixed up on what day we were to check out! I think I was so relaxed and didn't want to leave. We appreciated his kindness. Overall great place!
