Stopped in Aspen for 2 nights while on a southern to northern border trip. Loved the location and ability to walk up to Snowmass for some good food. Easy drive to Aspen for shopping. House was very clean and exactly as advertised. The pool and hot tub were a nice bonus on the cool evenings.
Space is very well equipped and in working order. We enjoyed our stay and had no issues. Kitchen had everything we needed for meals. Extra touches like humidifiers were nice to have. We would stay again.
The hot water gets very hot (can burn a child hot) and did not hold consistent temps while using shower several times, so just be aware.
The condo is very roomy and comfortable. There are some minor repairs needed but overall it was good. We had parking challenges a couple nights where someone was using our spot. Location is great to the village and to the highway. We were traveling a lot to games outside of Snowmass so up and down the hill. Quiet place to stay.
We had a great time at this property and don't have any complaints about the unit itself. The only other comment is that our check-out felt rushed as the crew arrived to turn the property 15 minutes before check-out time. Though they allowed us the remaining time to vacate, we still felt rushed to hurry along.
It was not a positive experience...I don't leave wriiten reviews but this is my second one in 8years of using VRBO....."greeted" by the neighbors right off asking us if we were X gamers and if we were loud party people?? Second neighbor complained about parking and told us we needed to only have 1 vehicle or we would be towed...third neighbors dog charged my adult son with teeth showing and aggressive barking and lady acted like it was my son's fault she couldn't control her animal and called him a not so very nice word!! Thankfully, he had his duffel bagel for a barrier....we woke our first morning to "excessive dripping"from the ceiling creating a small flood that we had to mop up and put pots and pans and a random bucket to collect the water as the floor above us every time they showered or flushed the toilet it would flood!! After finally getting in touch with someone thru numerous "Emergency" contact numbers... Snowmass property management was terrific!!! Obviously, the bathroom structure has had a lot of previous issues... I find this interesting as this can't be the first complaint by the amount of visible water damage present. Paint peeling and obvious water damage by the bubbling behind the drywall upon a more thorough inspection. We were told that unless the property above fixed the issues there was nothing management could do. So, our 4 day stay was mopping and drying towels to resoak up the constant water!! complainedmpacut the parelaxa
Roomy, clean but needed a few repairs. Knob was broken on dryer and wouldnât stay on. Handle was broken on fridge, wood burning fire place didnât vent properly, the front door handle was loose and the 2nd bedroom needs a T.V. And the shuttle bus was a steep walk. Over all we had a nice stay.
The condo was clean and ready when we arrived, which is a big plus. The kitchen was very nice, the bathrooms were adequate. The master bedroom needs new, nicer pillows. The smaller bedroom, where my husband and I slept was not the least comfortable. The bedding was scratchy, the pillows flat, the whole bed was sitting lop sided, my husband kept rolling to the middle and had to hold on to the edge of the matteress to stay on his side. The headboard rattled everytime one of us rolled over and there was no chest of drawers to organize our things. There are linen shelves in the closet, so we put our stuff there.
The shower head in the hall bathroom is so low that we had to bend over to wash our hair and will not adjust. Needs new adjustable head. The water pressure was great, however.
We couldn't get the thermostat adjusted to a cooler temp so we had to have the doors cracked open most of the time to make the place bearable. We are very warm natured folks.
Cozy but a few changes would make a huge difference
The Snowmass condo was cozy and somewhat sufficient for our Christmas week vacation. The public transportation throughout the Aspen-Snowmass area is exceptional. We were in Aspen area to celebrate Christmas with family. The kitchen had very basic kitchen supplies, so we (and very kind Kim in the Snowmass vacation office) had to augmen$ in order to prepare a holiday meal. There isnât anything supply-wise (saran, aluminum foil, spices, etc) so all must be purchased. The dishware and cutlery seemed to be is a mish-mash of very basic quality. A major issue with the apartment is the fireplace â or, letâs say the wood that is supplied. The wood is âgreenâ, thus causing way too much smoke (yes, the damper was open all the way) and charred wood that would never fully burn. That was a big disappointment as a lovely fireplace in a snowy setting is an absolute must. We are ace fireplace folks, but the wood was awful. We barely used it. We told office.
The log-on info and hot tub code were incorrect on the office info sheets - sorted out the next day.
The condo just needs some updates. The tv is used for privacy in the front window as itâs a first floor condo. If bottom-up blinds were installed on the living room and kitchen windows (right at steps to resort hot tub!) guests could have privacy AND a view. (Same in BRs)
The dining area slider doors have heavy (pretty tho) curtains for privacy. Itâs quite difficult to slide the four panels across the bar to close the curtains. One night the entire bar came crashing down on my arm â barely missed my head. Upon inspection (and to rehang the bar/curtains), we easily saw the issue â there are only slide-on metal plates and anchor-less screws to keep a very heavy bar and curtains secured to the wall. I still have quite a nasty bruise on my arm, but, again, was very lucky it did not hit my head. This was reported to the office (Cindy) for fixing.
Basic humidifiers would be an awesome addition to the condo - electric baseboard heating and dry mountain air makes extremely dry apt. Felt pads are needed for DR chairs. They screech every time theyâre moved. DR table is very wobbly.
A governor needs to be installed on the kitchen faucet as the hot water is extreme. The upside - there is sufficient hot water in the condo.
The smaller bathroom is tiny and needs updated.Mildew marks on the wooden base of the box shower are unsightly.
Like I originally said, it is a cozy condo. We were there to celebrate Christmas and we did!
The property is fine and the unit is fine. It was clean and close to the hot tub.
The overall experience was fine. It is a pretty tight space for 2 couples for any length of time. The living room is only suited for 3 people. The unit was clean and affordable. The management company was really great, friendly and helpful.
The check in process couldnât of been any smoother, which is a big bonus for me! The property was exactly as listed and perfect for our couples getaway weekend! Snowmass base is walking distance and the parking spaces were right out front! The only issue was the small hot water tank, so be sure to space out your showers if everyone likes them hot! Would def stay here again!
The property was fine and well appointed. However, the property management supplied us with incorrect information which negatively impacted our experience. We got the wrong WiFi password and incorrect pool code. Left a message for pool code and was never called back.
It is doubtful that we would revisit due to the poor property management.
Everything works, clean and nice! Good for families.
This is a nice place, sleeps two smaller families comfortable. We came for a kids event in Aspen, no problem commuting between Aspen and Snowmass Village. Clean and everything seems to work. We recommend this for other families! What more can you ask for when you are in one of the most beautiful surroundings in Colorado! We live on the front range, but can never get enough of the beauty of Colorado.
The condo kitchen was nicely remodeled, the furnishings were comfortable, but it is not very well maintained. The kitchen is not stocked so be sure to bring spices, plastic bags/tupperware, aluminum foil and any other kitchen things you may need. Book was easy and the property management company was very accommodating.
