La salle à manger spacieuse et la cuisine entièrement équipée vous offrent un espace pour servir le crabe local de la baie; vous pouvez également faire griller le dîner sur le barbecue à charbon en plein air. Deux chambres avec vue ensoleillée, une reine principale avec un lit double supplémentaire et une autre reine avec une salle de bain complète à côté, en font une option formidable pour des vacances avec un autre couple ou une famille de trois personnes. We very much enjoyed the layout of the cottage and the lovely view of the bridge. The photo does not do justice to the nice seagrass outside the window. I very much appreciated how fully stocked the kitchen was, especially with pots and pans for cooking. I had brought some of my own kitchenware just in case, and was so pleased to find I didn't need any of it.

Great place to stay! My husband, sister and her boyfriend stayed at this cute cottage. We enjoyed clamming in the bay and surf fishing on the beach. Definitely will be coming back in the future!

Alsea bay stay

The property is somewhat dated. Part of the deck was torn off but still laying in the yard and obviously had been for a while. The interior needs to be spruced up. The location and view were great.

New Experience

First time staying at the tip of Bayshore facing the bridge in these past 30 plus years. Our grandchildren enjoyed every moment. Wish there was a designated area to comfortably wash off sand before coming up to the deck. The cottage was very welcoming and well appointed. We all had a fantastic time!

This house was amazing!

I rented this house for a birthday treat and a badly needed vacation and it was the best decision! The house was not only super clean, but also so cute! It was a short walk to the beach (we took the Bayshore Club entrance), right across the street from the Bay, and had the most beautiful view. It was raining like crazy for a couple of the days we were there, and the house stayed nice and cozy and warm. Also, the book collection was very good. I would definitely stay at this house again.

Overall really great- just one problem

Rental was clean, cheerful, spacious. Door code didn't work and had some trouble getting customer service on the phone while standing out in the rain, but that was the only glitch. I'd stay there again.

Perfect rental for stay

Rental decorated with beachy theme. Bedrooms at opposite end of cottage provided privacy and separate space. Well stocked with kitchen and bedding items. Great view of Alsea Bridge and bay. Excellent directions and info on all tech/TV. Only negative was that it was hot when we visited, no air conditioning though many ceiling fans which did a good job but an extra portable fan would have been welcome. Overall though a clean bright place well located for our needs. We will definitely book again!

Weekend getaway

We really enjoyed the stay and the view/comfort was perfect. We would stay here again. Couple of things that stood out that could use amending but didnt impact the trip very much. Couldnt figure out how to get shower to work downstairs (diassapointment). Bedroom tv wasnt easy to use and didnt use it due to challenges. Upstairs bed frame needs cleaning; there was potato chips, loose change, hair pile. The rest of the vrbo was quite clean.

Too short of a stay.

Due to unforseen circumstances we were unable to make it until the very last day of our rental. Regardless it was a wonderful stay. We did move on to another location in the same area, but had we the opportunity to stay longer we would have. Everything is as advertised. Very clean, kitchen fully stocked everything necessary for a comfortable stay. We will definately be looking into staying here again when we are able toto stay longer. Oh, one thing. The telescope does not work or have the proper parts and lenses to look out to the bay, other than that it was awesome.

Not up to par

I have stayed at many locations along the Oregon Coast, Waldport won’t be on my return trip list. It has limited shopping and restaurants. Access to the beach is somewhat limited, but nice when you get there. I think many guests will travel to Newport for eating and shopping. This cottage is very presentable when you walk in the door. It was very clean throughout. Unfortunately the black mold and mildew in the window slider frames is leaving an odor. The cottage is really not set up for cooking. There is only one 10” skillet and limited utensils. There is a somewhat new charcoal grill, no propane. Unfortunately there is no deck to sit and read on or enjoy the sea breeze. It has a nice view of the bay and 101 bridge.

Worst vacation stay in 50 years

Actually less than 1'. To summarize-our stay and experience at this property has been overall unpleasant to say the least. A major issue that has been unsolvable is that the web site for this property listed a king sized bed in one the bedrooms. A major deciding factor to book this location was that a king size bed was available for my wife and I as we have significant sleeping issues that require that amount of sleeping space. I contacted the host the next day who acknowledged this error, apologized and said the site would be changed. Doesn’t help us and we are not enjoying our nights at all. We would definitely NOT rented this unit if we knew only queen beds were available. Second major problem was that the instructions for the living room TV were for a remote that was not here. Two different ones were available and while we able to turn on the TV we had no access to volume. Also, the remote in the bedroom didn’t work as well. In our original communication to the host the first morning along with the bed issue sho promised to have a technician come Tuesday afternoon to fix the remotes. They finally showed up Thursday at noon. 4 days without any TV. Inadequate glassware-only 3 water glasses and one stemmed wine glass and one non-stemmed only. 2 foot high weeds in front yard, strewn with garbage. Hair balls under chairs in bedroom. Never again will we book with VBRO/Merideth Rentals.

Definitely was amazing, relaxing, and everything we could of hoped for. The beach was just 5 minute walk and it felt so private out there with almost no one nearby. If you have a dog like us then this is a spot for them also!

Just what we needed

We enjoyed our stay. When we first arrived there was a funky smell in the home but after some Febreze and time, it went away. I'm not sure if it was dirty mop water or the furniture and rugs just needed freshening. Otherwise, the home was clean and exactly what we needed for our week-long stay. It was well appointed with everything we needed to cook, do laundry, etc. I was nervous when reading the reviews that we wouldn't be happy with the place but it seems that everything has been taken care of! It's not a beachfront property but the bay is just a short walk away and we spent a lot of time there during low tide. The town of Waldport is just a short drive away. There were 2 of us on our stay. I would say this is a good place for about 4. More than that, it would feel crowded. Overally, we were pleased and would return in the future!

Needs to be cleaned

We had a baby that is crawling and the perigo flooring was obvious that it hadn't been cleaned. Looked for a swiffer to quickly clean...and no cleaning pads. The rug pictured...its straw and it was filthy! Again crawling baby crawled on it...and was covered with black and dog hair. So I pulled out the vacuum to try to pick up the dog hair. The black futon was full of dog hair and sand....not from us! The beds were very uncomfortable and cheap mattresses. The cabinets and the front door had visible repetitive hand touching black...so i cleaned them with my clorox wipes. This house needs major touching up for the price we paid. The baseboards are filthy! I understand that people can be rough with others things. But when you are charging $900+ for 4 nights...the dishes and the bedding could be upgraded easily. The stove has only two working burners. Take the time to detail your place! Its worth doing. Also the bbq was pathetic. You are better off just not mentioning it. The hose is also broken like it was stated in a rating after I already booked this place.

Above average home for a vacation rental; it does need a new dishwasher and stove, and the "sheets" to cover the furniture for the dog were absolutely no where to be found (were supposed to be in a basket in the living room). If we had known the tv would not work for Netflix etc., we would have brought our ROKU - that needs to be mentioned in the property listing. We had a multitude of issues with the housekeeping and property management. Almost NO towels (3 for a place that sleeps 5!); no washcoths or hand/face towels; my terry cloth bath mat was frayed and literally TOSSED on the shower rod; the dishwasher was full of clean dishes (in my experience, the dishwasher is EMPTY when a new renter arrives - especially given the six hour turnaround time the property has) so at first we wondered why there were so few dishes! There were a complete lack of instructions for the TV, Shower (I'd never pulled DOWN on a tub faucet for the shower to come on before!), washer (we learned to push and turn to just the right spot to start it); water hose outside leaked everywhere and should have been tossed out/replaced years ago - not to mention the water faucet itself outside broke and the water ran CONTINUOUSLY from 3:00 pm - 8:00 am the next day - after we reported the problem at 3 pm....the owner's water bill will certainly be affected! Not to mention the flooding in the garage that must have occurred as a result. On our 4th or 5th day, we discovered ratty 2 pages stapled together in a basket on the BACK of the top of the refrigerator (dining options - we had wondered if there were any restaurant recommendations) by the time we discovered them we had only 2 more nights left. To summarize - we loved the area, the home itself was certainly adequate but would NEVER rent another property via Meredith Lodging again - they are really below average for a property management company.
