Excellent location and spacious accommodations. We enjoyed our stay and loved being able to walk to the beach. The house had what we needed but could use a few updates. The beds and pillows are older, the living room rug could be swapped out, and some of the windows wouldn't stay open. But overall we had a good time here and particularly appreciated the large kitchen and dining area, laundry, and large primary bathroom suite with soaking tub.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm so glad the location and roomy layout worked well for you and that the kitchen, dining area, laundry, and primary bathroom added to your stay. I appreciate the notes about the mattresses and pillows feeling worn, the living room rug, and the windows that wouldn't stay open — I’ll pass these to our housekeeping and maintenance teams. We’re scheduling inspections and will prioritize updates to bedding, the rug, and window hardware so future guests have an even more comfortable visit. Thank you again for the helpful comments; we hope to host you again.

Rooms were comfy, overall a good place for a little vacation. The kitchen was fairly well stocked with the basic necessities. Oversized tubs were great for relaxing after a day on the beach and there was plenty of hot water.

This was my first time booking, the host was very communicative and the instructions provided for check in and check out were clear and sent timely. The only draw to not give 5 stars was due to outside space, the grass was significantly overgrown and the tree by the driveway impacts accessibility when you have more than one vehicle. Other than that, space was clean, all bare essentials were provided both for bathrooms and kitchen. Would recommend to others and book again.

Thank you for choosing Meredith Lodging and for taking the time to leave a review. I’m glad you felt the check‑in/check‑out instructions and overall communication were clear and that the space felt clean and well-stocked. I appreciate your feedback about the overgrown grass and the tree by the driveway — I’ve passed this along to our maintenance/landscaping team to address. We hope you'll come back and stay with us again!

Great house however there was a lot of sugar ants in the kitchen and main bathroom. We had to keep all of our food in the fridge so the ants couldn't get to amy of it. Vrbo did refund us some money but they added it to the vrbo account and not back into my bank account.

Thank you for staying with us and for the review. I’m sorry your stay didn’t earn five stars. I'm sorry the sugar ants came in and gave you trouble and completely understand your frustration. Our team arranged for pest control to treat the kitchen and main bathroom and completed an extra clean; we’ll continue monitoring and will update the guest info to clarify food-storage recommendations. Be sure to tell Vrbo the refund was placed in the wrong account! I hope they'll be willing to adjust how the refund is sent over. Thank you again for the feedback.

Nice home, quiet neighborhood

The Bayshore house was really nice, clean and worked well for us (four adults and two kids). The open layout was great, the kitchen was really well stocked with all the plates/pans/utensils you could want. The back deck led out to the community park which was very convenient for the kids to play at. The neighborhood was very quiet. Overall, it was great place for our weekend getaway.

Lovely beach vacation

Wonderful stay! The house was lovely and clean. The walk to the beach from house was super easy, my five year old had no problem. The only complaint I have is for being pet friendly, there was no warning of the grass around the house being covered in goathead thorns. My puppys poor paws, and a good idea to take shoes off before going back into the house from the playground.

Well outfitted beach house

We had everything we needed for our beach weekend. Comfortable setting and well appointed kitchen with lots of bedding. Easy walk to the beach! We were disappointed to find the master bed was a queen and not a king and the playground equipment was in bad shape. The wifi information was different than advertised but a call to the office got us all set up. We would stay here again and had a good time - sure enjoyed the covered porch on the rainy weekend!

Birthday Weekend

Space was great, plenty of room for 7 of us and a dog. Nice to have a park out back for the kids to play when we weren't at the beach. Trouble with internet when we first arrived - 13 year old deciphered the writing on the fridge and we got it working but it isn't what is posted in the check-in information. We left a note with the correct info. Some maintenance issues could be dealt with but overall a fine stay.
