Enjoyed the condo that was just as described with plenty to make the stay comfortable and convenient. What I didn't fully understand when booking was how great the location is to food, shopping, events, and well everything. There is so much to walk to and enjoy downtown. It's also easy to explore the surrounding area via a car with easy access to highways. Want a great place with a great location, look no further.
Such a fun place to stay! Located in a great spot just across the bridge of the main downtown. This area, known as the âhip stripâ, has a great juice bar, vegan doughnut, taco spot, coffee, bakery and a dive with great burgers. Lydia was super sweet as well. Would highly recommend!
Weâre a family of four. We rented the place for eight days and we felt really comfortable. Thereâs literally everything inside the pretty apartment. We made good memories. Thank you so much!
Babs is very charming and perfectly located in town and near the river. I just concluded my 3 weeks in July and look forward to a return visit. The air conditioning worked great! The only tiny bumpâŠI didnât know how to turn on the tv. Ownerâs son was there within 5 minutes to show me. I would recommend this lovely home.
This was my first experience with VRBO. Everything went very smoothly. Lydia was very proactive about making sure I had all of the information I needed to access the keys and get settled. The bed is very comfortable and the location can't be beat. I was staying by myself, so it was a little more space than I needed, but I was very happy with it and I will be sure to bring my husband next time!
Location canât be beat. Tiny kitchen, but we didnât cook in it. Would be nice to have dedicated parking. Overall very comfortable and quiet apartment during our stay.
Have stayed in other condos in the Babs. Great location. Nice sized condos for two adults. Unit 10 had fine reviews (but no reviews after November 2021?). The primary problem: the unit was not adequately clean. Seemed okay at first--sink, tub and toilet looked fine. Then bathroom cabinet doors came off when we opened them. Had trouble with TVs and Internet. Owners responded to those concerns. But after a couple days (and filthy feet), I realized the floors were DIRTY. Saw wrappers and a toy under couches. So sweep, vacuum and mop, right? Easy enough. But the dust under the couches was thick. The kitchen floor was filthy--multiple moppings were required and the dirt removed was extensive. Should I have called? Probably. But at a minimum, I expect a VRBO property to be well-cleaned--no calling required. And the more I looked: cobwebs, dirty walls, dusty vents, stained furniture, mildewed shower curtain. Would not stay again. I let the owner know all my concerns on checkout. Hope they have corrected and done a deep clean.
Wonderful location central to the Hip Strip and to Downtown, with ready access to three great bakeries and coffee shops, two breweries, and several restaurants.
This rental is in the perfect location. Great access to downtown and the university. With the River Trail, Currents, the MCT, the Carousel, Dragons Hollow, Big Dipper and so many good restaurants right there, you just canât beat it. This is our second stay here. The space is just right for a family mostly on the go, but that still spends some down time around the rental. Unit has everything you need. We would definitely stay here again.
Very quaint, great location, very close to good food - we went to Hob Nob for breakfast twice, great place. We visited family only about 15 mins away, this was a great location for us.
The Babs is absolutely an institution in Missoula! It's stately and historic but also sumptuous and modernized. It's literally a 10 minute walk from the heart of Missoula (via the Higgins St. bridge over a gorgeous river) and next door to top-rated bakeries and Italian restaurants -- basically everything is at your doorstep. The only slight negative is the smoke alarm in the kitchen is hyper-sensitive and goes off when simply cooking eggs with barely any smoke or steam but if you open the window it takes care of that. (And anyway, in such a stately wooden building built in c.1902 wouldn't you want a very sensitive smoke alarm?) This awesome condo unit is just pure comfort and really crowned my weeklong visit to beautiful Missoula.
We love staying here and have stayed often. Good food, a bakery and a brewery are all close by. Lydia, the owner, is a joy to work with. Our granddaughters live in Missoula so we will be back. Thanks Lydia for having a nice place for us.
We came to town with our two kids, 6 and 4 for a family vacation. Riverfront was the perfect location. With access to the Missoula trail system within a block of the condo, we were able to leave our car parked for much of the trip. We hoped on our bikes or walked just about every place we wanted to go. Within a couple of blocks thereâs Big Dipper ice cream, Berniceâs bakery, the Bridge pizza, and so much more. Also close by is a small park with river access where the kids played in the river numerous times. Cross the Higgins street bridge and there is the Carousel, Dragons Hallow, and a lot of good dining and shopping. 15 minutes and you can be at the trailhead for the Rattlesnake recreation area. This place has great access to so many places that are classic Missoula and will work great for anyone who wants to immerse themselves in Missoula downtown lifestyle or anyone visiting the University. We would definitely stay again!
We've enjoyed our proximity to Missoula and all it has to offer. We fell in love with the Babs Building--it's historical significance, charm, and location in Missoula make it one of a kind! For those who want a personalized stay in Missoula, this fits! We love sharing our enthusiasm for Missoula and the surrounding area with visitors and would love to host you in your visit.
The condo has the flavor of Montana and all it has to offer. Photos of our nearby national treasure, Glacier National Park, were taken by a local western Montana photographer and are featured prominently in the condo. The living room is stocked with magazines and books about Montana history and information about the wide variety of things to enjoy during your stay....
