Enjoyable

We were impressed our rental was available after two October 2024 hurricanes. Disappointed in the quality of furniture. The most comfortable were the stools around the island. The bedroom were very roomy and the beds very comfortable. Bathrooms were very nice as well. Although there were no toilet papers holders. Kitchen supplies were sparse but sufficient. There were no grilling utensils.. although a very nice grill. Pool heater was no existent the last three days. Which did really affect our stay as the weather wasn’t pool weather. Overall I would rent it again given the opportunity.

Great location and private pool

Old Florida cottage. Newly remodeled kitchen. Could’ve used new furniture in the bedroom, living room, and pool loungers, but it was spacious and clean. A nice layout, good supplies, perfect location and great pool!

Mykonos

I wanted to love the property. In fact, I would have settled for really liked. Unfortunately, there were too many blemishes that, summed up, were hard to ignore. It’s the little things that set these vacation properties apart, and Mykonos didn’t check the little things boxes:1. The front door keypad would lock the door, but not unlock. You came out on Sunday to fix it, but it was not working again later that day. We simply used the garage door to enter and exit the house, rather than call you back for another go at it. 2. The primary sliding door exit to the pool did not have a “mandated” door alarm. 3. The exhaust fan in the hallway bathroom did not work. 4. There was no cooler at the house. A beach house without a cooler? We bought one and left it at the house so the next guests wouldn’t have to do the same. 5. The property grounds are in desperate need of some TLC. Grasses and weeds are overrunning the mulch beds. Bags of mulch laying in the beds. Weeds growing up through the pavers on the pool deck. Downed palm fronds lying in the beds. Etc. Etc. Extremely unsightly. 6. The pool deck wooden furniture and webbing therein have seen much better days. 7. One pool cleaning per week is not enough. We resigned ourselves after the first few days that we’d have to share the pool with the mulch and tree debris that got washed into it by the rain. These rentals are not cheap. For the cost, I would expect more. I would not stay here again nor recommend it to others.

A wonderful place to stay

Great pool. 5 hours of sun in the back yard. Great for our Two dogs. Easy access to beach and a variety of restaurants. Comfortable home. Decent amenities. Nice neighborhood.

Mykonos is a wonderful place to just...be!

Wonderfully clean and comfortable. So many large spaces to enjoy, and we did enjoy them all. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Kitchen was well equipped and comfortable to work in. The pool is very well maintained. All in all, a great experience. We will be back.

I will start my review to say the rental agency went out of their way to be helpful. First thing we noted was that the pool was 68 degrees even when the air temperature was warm. Twice pool repair people came after several days of wait to check on pool. Each time they said pool heater was working normally. However, the next day pool heater did not come on. Third time they came a problem was found and repaired, But this was three days before we left.Propane grill was broken, rusty and dirty. It was replaced. The dining room has a kitchen type island with high top stools, but there is no dining room table for entertaining friends. Otherwise, the house appeared to be furnished with sparse old, probably flood damaged, and inexpensive furniture. The house was uncomfortable. I could continue with other problems but will only say that I would not rent this property again.

Loved the location. Kevin the caretaker was great. Pool area the best. It needs new pool chairs, sun loungers, falling apart very old. Shower hot and cold are reversed. Pool heater turned off after three days. No propane for the grill. But we enjoyed our stay.

very good location to the beach!

very spacious and cozy. the inventory and the appliances in the kitchen should be renewed. Likewise, the existing beach equipment was not in good condition. Communication and check-in were great. Otherwise we were very satisfied.

Beach house

Clean house, master bedroom great bed comfortable. Other two bedrooms , full size beds very uncomfortable. Need 2 twin beds in each room . Kitchen well stocked, drawers need to be replaced. Shared bathroom fantastic, great shower. Air vent in hall ceiling needs filter replaced. Pool is enjoyable, with many tropical plants. Beach is a short walk and breathtaking. Lanai is a added bonus . Would definitely come back . Maintenance man lives next door , he is very helpful!!

Disappointing Property

This property is very outdated and had several broken unusable items. There were outlets that were not working, the grill was rusty, the iron was rusted, the property was dirty, the return vent was filthy. The beds were in terrible condition. The outdoor gas heater had a metal top that was added that had some paint on it that would burn when in use.

The pool is the best part

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The pool is the best part! The pool and the back part of the house were my favorite. The inside of the house needs a bit of an update. I was not happy with the fact that the master bedroom door did not lock while we were there for the week. I put in a request for maintenance and nothing ever came of it. We had to put a chair up against our door to lock it. The master bedroom bed was not the most comfortable— every time you would move it would make a sound. Definitely needs to be looked into! The kitchen is not ideal if you like to cook. There was not a lot of space for storing your food. We used one of the bookshelves to put our food there as a temporary pantry. The location was awesome the wagon that you could take to the beach with chairs was nice. The main bathroom had a nicely updated shower. Everyone used this shower during the week. The shower in the master bedroom was very tiny. Overall, I think the kitchen and the master bedroom are the deal breakers for me.

Spring Break in AMI

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was perfect for our 1st visit to AMI. House is a straight two block walk to Holmes Beach, and easy access to North or South trolley. Lots of space and a great pool. Interior is a little outdated but the kitchen was scheduled to be renovated right after our stay.

The house had the minimum of items some needing updated and some things needed replace. The house was very clean. The pool and the patio was beautiful and relaxing. Some deck chair needs to be replaced but it was a nice setting with plenty of chairs and table to eat outside and bbq.

Great location but very uncomfortable furniture

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What we liked: The location, sunny patio area, the size and layout. Also, Florida Dreams Realty and their staff are great to work with and very responsive.What we didn't like: The beds and the couches were extremely uncomfortable. Beds are hard. The company convinced the owner to replace one ancient creaky full sized bed that was impossible to sleep on with a queen. Couches are too hard and narrow be comfortable or lounge on, and furniture is covered in cheap slipcovers. The kitchen needs a major overhaul- old appliances and tile counter that has grout that's impossible to keep clean. Pool is a deep lap pool (at least 5 feet for full length of pool) with no shallow area where short people or kids can stand. We stay for a month every year but will not stay at Mykonos again.

Reviewer Comments: The floors were dirty, not that you could see but our feet were filthy from walking around in the house. The doors to the pool would not lock, I fixed them. The batteries in all the remotes were dead, we purchased new. The pool did not have a shallow end for small children to play.The furniture really needs an upgrade they were all dirty and stained.

Great house with fabulous outdoor area

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve just returned to Scotland after another great 2 week holiday in AMI. We had a wonderful stay at Mykonos which is in a fab location a block from the was a good size and my teens enjoyed being able to have a bedroom each.The house was very clean and well equipped and we used the lovely sun porch to escape the sun or occasional rain shower.Our favourite aspect was the great outdoor area with huge pool.Initially I found it a bit disconcerting that the rear of the garden is completely overlooked by the adjoining property( ie the other side of this duplex) however it wasn’t a problem as the neighbours’ rear window blinds were kept shut, but a small fenced off area behind the neighbours part of the property would provide both parties with a bit more privacy.As previous guests have mentioned, the house is a bit tired in parts. The kitchen is quite dated and the ice maker in the fridge did not work for the full duration of our stay and although we were told a part was on order, we heard nothing further.The bed in the master bedroom collapsed ( while we were in it! ) and although quickly repaired by the helpful maintenance man ( who lives in the other half of the property ) it is clear it has been screwed back together a few times). Drawers in unit in the bedroom had missing handles or came off runners and, in the en suite , plug points didn’t work and there were loose cupboard doors in the wall unit which constantly fell off.Overall it feels like the house could benefit from a few upgrades but we found it to be very good value for money and one of the best houses , in the price range, that we’ve stayed in on AMI.We would definitely recommend Mykonos and would happily return.
