This was a lovely home for our holiday. Only slight criticism is that it is a home that can sleep 10 but only had 3 sunbeds which made pool days less comfortable but that is me being super critical. Everything else, couldnt fault it.
This house was amazing. Big, beautiful and clean. It had something for everyone in our family. Only thing that didnât work out well was the extra cost for pool heat. It was never warm enough for us to use. But the community pool was nice and warm so we used that. We would definitely book this house again.
We loved the house. But it needed some TLC from the property management. The garage door was broken so we could not raise it. Therefore we could not play the games in The garage because it was too hot. But while we were there they replaced the air hockey table. Which we could not use. The dish washer was broken. It had smelly water in the bottom of it which we noticed the day after we arrived. It was not replaced in the 2 weeks we were there. Even after several phone calls. We had to go out and buy soap to wash dishes by hand. And a dish rack. Also had to buy kitchen dish clothes and drying towels because they were not provided. Also the Teflon pots and pans were so destroyed that we couldnât use them. So we went out and bought things to cook with. They did replace them a few days too late. Several broken blinds. Lots of lights and outlets didnât work. We paid to have the pool heated. Unfortunately the hot tub was same temperature as the pool. Really disappointed. We have stayed in Watersong many times with family members. And have never had these issues. Hopefully the management company with step up and fix these issues.
This vacation was very spacious for family we were very satisfied until we noticed they had roaches.
I contacted the property manager about the roaches all in the kitchen. He stated it was the area and he would send out pest control. This was very disturbing and Disgusting.I explained to him that we had to pack our luggage and food up so that roaches wouldn't get in them. Roaches are a sign of uncleanness. No one ever reached back out to see if the problem was under control.
Interior clean, comfortable. Decorated as listed. Will not rent again from this mgmt company.
We rented this property for 17 days.
Cleanliness of the property - the interior was very clean but we found broken glass in the pool area. So dangerous.
Check in process - the check in process went smoothly until we checked to see if our additional guests were registered at the entry gate. They were not and so we had to contact the management company AGAIN so they could notify the gate. If we had not checked our guests would have arrived late in the evening and not been allowed in. It took two days to correct, just in time for our guests arrival. We also had to survey the property at check in and report any damage we found to the management company. Why do the renters need to identify issues? We kept finding new issues through out our stay, which we also reported with varying degrees of resolution.
Accuracy of online listing: The listing included various amenities that were broken, missing parts or not usable, including the games in the garage which were fixed after we reported the issues, the dishwasher would not drain, there was standing water and a bad smell. This was never fixed while we were there. The washing machine was loud and banging during the spin cycle and was never fixed while we were there. We rented the property specifically for the screened in pool due to my husbands extreme insect allergies. There were 5 panels missing when we arrived and there was a note that it would be fixed in a 'few days' . It was not fixed until day 14 of our stay. There were bees, wasps and cockroaches in the pool area making it unusable until the end of our stay. We found later that the management company knew about this before we rented but did not notify us when we paid extra to have the pool heated for the duration of our stay. Other things were just annoying, example: blinds that did not adjust, wall switches that don't control lights in rooms, remotes with no batteries, etc. We received no compensation for having to put up with the many issues large and small.
Communication with the property manager - There are two numbers provide one was a call center. They would then talk to the actual maintenance people who would then come to fix issues. These people were polite. However, there was no communication about the status of the outstanding issues.
Location - Watersong is a beautiful area. It is a half hour to hour drive to/from the Disney or Celebration areas. This was not an issue for us.
At check in there were a ton of broken things, I called to let them know, it was very hard to get ahold of them. Guy I talked to didnât seem too concerned at all. Sent someone over to âfixâ things. There was what appeared to be a bloody hand print on the wall, he wiped it down with a damp paper towel, In garage was a playroom. Air hockey didnât work, pool table was missing a pool ball.( we found it later stuck in Unlevel table) the air hockey table had a broken switch, maintainence guy said he would bring a new one and repair it. Never did. All darts were broken. He left a new pack of darts. No condiments at all ,no seasonings, (not even salt pepper) not enough toilet paper, garbage bags, paper towels, tide pods(2) or shampoo first short term rental with no shampoo) We had 8 people for a week they knew that. Nothing was very clean Can opener did not work. Toaster did not pop up toast. Toast started on fire. We had to put it out side. I called and let them know Needed a full repaint, holes in walls. Screen around pool was ripped and sagging all over. They said owner wonât pay to fix anything. When you turn in light switches in bedrooms, no lights come on. We had to use lamp switches which are hard to find in an unfamiliar house in the dark. Would not recommend Decent house. Terrible maintenance and support. Before we left a lady called my wife to get another picture of her driverâs license at 5 am our time. We donât wake up that early.
Overall, the space was great for a multi-generational trip. There were areas for gathering, with plenty of seating and the pool was a great size. The only issue we had was with the pool heat. We were there for 2 weeks and there were only a few days that the pool temperature was right. Multiple days the spa wouldn't heat at all and the water was freezing. Then the pool was heated to the point where we couldn't get in the pool during the day because it was hot outside (a full pool that felt like a hot tub). After asking for it to be adjusted, the same cold water situation ocurred where the spa nor the pool would heat up. And for the last 5 days or so, the pool was very hot again (truly the pool felt like a hot tub). Mid-trip I asked for a credit for some of the days the pool wasn't heated or too hot and was told that because I asked them to turn down the heat, so no.
The house is nicely decorated, spacious and in nice neighborhood. The pool was clean the kids enjoyed it the most.
