Profitez de belles vues sur Chesapeake et d'une plage de sable blanc et fin dans cette spacieuse maison de plage familiale. Cinq chambres entièrement meublées peuvent accueillir jusqu'à huit personnes maximum. Piscine creusée privée en fibre de verre (installée en 2019). Excellente pêche, kayak / rafting / canoë (apportez le vôtre!), natation, beachcombing, crabbing, barbecue / pique-nique et randonnée. Des dauphins, des balbuzards, des pygargues à tête blanche, des pélicans et des colibris vivent dans la région. Dans un rayon de 8 à 15 minutes en voiture, vous trouverez des restaurants, des boutiques, des vignobles, des antiquaires, des bateaux de pêche charter, des musées, un ferry gratuit pour Sunnybank et des ferries pour des excursions vers les îles de la baie de Chesapeake à proximité. À seulement deux heures de Richmond et à trois heures de Washington. Disponible pour week-end, location à la semaine ou au mois.
Remarque: La maison est limitée aux non-fumeurs. Les locataires doivent apporter des serviettes de bain et de plage, du savon et des serviettes en papier (draps fournis). Nous avons une politique stricte interdisant les animaux de compagnie. La maison doit être dans l'état «tel que trouvé» au moment du départ, y compris le nettoyage du linge de lit à l'aide de la laveuse / sécheuse sur place. Nice relaxing stay

Lovely property. Our family had a nice relaxing week. We enjoyed the pool, as the beach had a ton of jellyfish during our stay. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a laidback relaxing stay.

4th of July family stay

The house is in a very rural area and secluded. Very beautiful house and highly organized. House was comfortable and fit our 2 families very well. We enjoyed the beach and pool daily and had a grocery store within 20 minutes where we purchased our food. Neighbors were very friendly with no issues. Overall the hosts communicated very well and provided us with all the things we needed. First couple of days were very buggy with lots of flies and mosquitoes. The beach had lots of jelly fish on those days too. Nothing the host could do about that but something to plan for for those looking to stay in the summer.

Destination Relaxation

This property checked all of our boxes (pool, 5 bedrooms, fishing) and our entire family had a great week. It was extremely relaxing. The hosts really have thought of everything and absolutely everything is labeled for ease of finding. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Family Trip

Our large family group with older kids had a great week at the beach, the house was as pictured with lots of space to spread out, a well equipped kitchen for cooking, outdoor grill, great pool and lots of yard space, wonderful sandy beach for hanging out, walking and looking for shells.

So relaxing

This lovely home is located on a very tranquil piece of property. Surrounded by eagles, osprey and heron. The home is very clean and very organized. It is located on the bay with a private beach. The pool is perfect for children. My family had a wonderful time swimming, fishing, crabbing and playing on the beach. It's a perfect vacation home!

Wonderful vacation on the Chesapeake Bay

The house was as described with beach front backyard, beautiful views, clean pool and everything we needed to house 8 for a week. Communication with the owners was good. Lots to do in the area. We enjoyed watching dolphins and cownose rays and sea birds.

Perfect!

This property is in the perfect location for privacy and being in touch with nature. The pool was perfect for the kids, we had the beach to ourselves. We saw dolphins, eagles, ospreys, lizards, heron and crabs. The house is clean with many convenient appliances. We had a wonderful time!

Amazing vacation

We had an amazing time and the weather was very enjoyable. The owners have made some changes to there home and they are perfect! they have taken out a wall and really opened up the dining area and the bay can be seen as you eat. I love the upstairs balcony, it improves the view. I have taken many photos from there even a sunrise. Along with my grandchildren, we found over 300 pieces of sea glass and even an arrow head. True Gem

This property exceeded our expectations! Pictures are typically staged to showcase highlights of the home, but this place is even better in person! What we noticed right away was how clean this home was. Pair that with a great pool and amazing views and it makes for a perfect vacation getaway. We enjoyed fishing, swimming, the fire pit, and making meals together. The house was spacious enough to accommodate our family of 6 with plenty of space. We will definitely be back!

Exactly what we were looking for!

We had a great stay at Mark and Val’s place. The house was clean and well-appointed. We loved the beach—no one else in sight and so great for beach combing. Luckily, we didn’t have the jellyfish issues others described, and the calm, shallow water was great for the new swimmer in our family. We also enjoyed the pool. The mosquitoes in the yard were killer, but we were fine in the pool and once we got to the water. Overall, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Thanks!

Great House

The house and property were great. The owners have truly thought of everything including things I didn’t know I would appreciate so much like additional outlet space all over. You can’t beat the view and proximity to the beach and pool was great for the kids. The only bummer were the flys. Not sure if is a particular bad year or bad part of the season but a couple of times we chose to stay inside. Luckily there’s still a great view of the bay and the house is very comfortable.

Everything we wanted in one spot

This home, property, pool and beach area was wonderful! We grilled out, had a fire, rented a kayak, enjoyed the pool, played yard games and fished the beach. We saved a bald eagle and a horseshoe crab, used crab traps, caught a stingray and other fish. I could go on and on. Nothing negative, except it was biting black fly season, and they are ruthless. House has everything we needed and we big ang very nice. My 3 year old grandson loved the deck and screenroom and we all enjoyed the yard games. You are out of the way of cities, lights and people. The patio around the pool has neat lights and the pool was lighted at night. Thank you for letting us stay!

Lovely setting for a getaway with a pool and small beach

Mark and Val were wonderful hosts. Mark took the time to call and walk me through the house when we arrived, which was very helpful. The pool is lovely and the setting is right on the water with a small beach, a lovely sitting deck overlooking the water, etc. The house is nice and not luxury. Some of the beds and furniture could be a bit sturdier and more comfortable. If you're looking for luxury resort type place - this isn't it. This is great for casual hanging out with friends and family and relaxing. There are a lot of checkout asks (hauling trash to the dump, laundering the sheets and towels, sweeping, wiping things down, etc.) so be aware of that. Would stay here again for sure!

Lovely house. Great if you have young kids. Pool was wonderful. The unfortunately the jellyfish were awful and we were only able to admire it from afar. Good house for multiple families with kids. Spent many rainy days/nights playing games and doing arts and crafts and didn’t feel like we were on top of each other.

Wonderful Stay!

This Ophelia beach house was amazing! We spent our week fishing from the beach, swimming in the pool, grilling, and spending quality time together as a family. The house had every amenity we could need, plus added extras that made it feel at home. The check in and out process was very simple, and Mark was a great host. We are looking forward to booking another trip in the future.

My favorite getaway

Another wonderful visit at this beautiful location. I can't say enough good things about the hosts, just wonderful people. They are kind, accommodating and communicative. House is stocked with everything you'll need to stay comfortably. Can't wait to keep going back!

Fantastic

We spent most of our time in the pool which was warm and clean, and the sunbathing deck was a perfect shallow area for my 19 month old to play on. The house was spacious and had everything we needed. The beach was beautiful and great for kids collecting seashells and playing in the sand. We will definitely be coming back next year!

We live now in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley and have owned the beach house for more than 30 years. Our family has wonderful memories of summer vacations filled with beach-combing, swimming, bicycling, and fishing. We hope you'll enjoy a vacation there too!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The quality of the beach and the tranquil setting were what first drew us to Ophelia. The area has a wealth of history and opportunities for day trips on charter boats, ferries to nearby islands, and outings to memorable restaurants, museums and shops in Reedville, Kilmarnock, and Heathsville. Over the years, we've been able to add an upstairs deck, rooms, and amenities to the beach house. It is a place for fun and rest – and hard to leave!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Some of our favorite activities are relaxing on the upstairs deck and watching the osprey, bald eagles, pelicans, and dolphins go by. Views of sunrises over the Bay and sunsets on the Potomac are gorgeous. The salt water pool is easy on the eyes and a great way to cool off after hikes or long walks on the beach. An outdoor barbecue as picnic table sits between house and pool. Inside, we have comfortable and well air-conditioned spaces for meals and gatherings of friends and family.
