Belle vue sur la baie de Chesapeake depuis la grande terrasse et la vue sur l'eau depuis chaque chambre. Deux suites parentales et deux chambres avec lits superposés en font une maison idéale pour deux familles. La maison dispose d'une plage privée, d'une petite rampe de mise à l'eau et d'un quai. Les activités disponibles incluent la pêche, la pêche au crabe, la chasse au verre de mer, le trou de maïs sur la plage et plus encore. Apportez vos jouets aquatiques. La baie de Chesapeake est d'un côté de la maison et la crique de St Jerome est de l'autre côté, fournissant des eaux plus calmes pour le kayak.

A perfect spot to relax (and get engaged!)

This house was perfect for our blended family! Each room was comfortable and spacious and 4 bathrooms was perfect to accommodate everyone. So many games and activities already available to us and with the beach at your back door, we spent a lot of time in the water. It was amazing to see fireworks right from the back patio on the 4th. The place was very special since my fiance proposed to me on the beach on 4th of July. So we will be back not just for the memories but also for the beautiful peaceful spot! Thank you Pat for allowing us to use your beautiful home!

Paradise!

This property is perfect for a private, relaxing getaway. We pretty much lived outdoors, taking advantage of the water on both sides of the home. The morning sunrises are spectacular! Lot's of local convenience close by. Patrick was the perfect host. We intend to return!

Charming home and location

Everything as advertised with this home. You cannot get a better bay view or experience. The home is well suited for a couple of small families. The deck is a living area on its own and we occupied it most the time. We enjoyed watching the osprey fish the bay. Beach is clean and the host provided everything you could possibly use on it. Only one drawback is that though there are lots of doors and windows, few could be opened and no screens on some. Made it quite warm on a beautiful sunny day. We also had loud obnoxious neighbors who felt they could trot along in front of the house on the beach and fish while we were trying to take pictures…but beyond the hosts control so no complaint to him, but if your beachfront is private, maybe you could post it.

Beautiful views of the Bay

The property itself was amazing. Gorgeous views and spectacular sunrises, osprey and bald eagles. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and more. We really appreciated the drinking water cooler! The major downside to our trip was that we weren't able to swim in the water at all (the beach/swimming was the sole reason we chose this property for our vacation) because of the abundant population of jellyfish. I've never seen so many. The 7 year old with us got stung pretty badly on day 1 on her face and legs, which made for a very hot and uncomfortable week on land, with very bored and disappointed kids. Expensive lesson learned! Next time we know not to book in July. We would absolutely return when the nettles aren't as present.

Perfect Location

The house was very clean. The view from the deck was spectacular!! The location was amazing! It was very quiet and no one bothered us. We took advantage of the kayaks and the crap pots. My husband, son and his friend enjoyed fishing from the beach and the dock. I emailed the owner before our trip and he answered me quickly. One of the locals let my son and his friend from his property which was very kind of him. My family would definitely recommend this house to others.

Wonderful waterfront property

We really enjoyed our stay. Got off to a great start because the host was willing to let us check in a little early and avoid the worst of the holiday weekend traffic. This house has both its own beach front and immediate access to a calm water inlet. In the past, we've taken the kayaks out on the beach and paddled around to the slip on the calm side. This time the weather was a little too windy to take them out on the beach so we explored the calm water side. The house really suited the needs of our three-generation family unit. Two master bedrooms for the adults and two with bunks for the kids. Lots of kitchen utensils to cook up crabs we caught nearby. Good, fast internet. Really enjoyed our stay.

Good location.

Good location. Beach is nice. The water is not deep. The kayaks are in good condition. It's a good stay. For the family with a disable person. The bunkbed rooms are on the main floor. One of the bunkbed room have the bathroom. It's good for disable. Grandma who needs a cane and foot brace to walk could use a wheelchair got in and out from the bed to bathroom by herself.

peaceful and private beach vacation

We enjoyed a quiet time with our young grandchildren. The house has a private, gentle beach. The deck overlooks the water and the sunrise was beautiful. There are kayaks, a hammock, a dock and crab traps. The kitchen is nicely equipped and the house is comfortable. We saw several stingrays in the bay!

Family Weekend Away

The location was great, but the neighborhood is inconsistent in quality. The house has ample space but is in need of deep cleaning inside & outside. The back deck, beach & hammock made for a super relaxing trip.

Beautiful scenery that pictures don’t do justice to

We had a great stay! Beautiful property with amazing views. Didn’t hear back from the owner when I reached out with a question during our stay. House could have been a little cleaner, we notice it more with small crawling children who pick up and get Into everything. Overall we had a nice weekend getaway and we would come back!

Easy Getaway

Just 2 hrs from DC but really did feel like we got "away from it all". The house is set up such that it pretty much is the max number of people you could fit in a 4 bedroom house. Two rooms have 4 beds each - great for kids. The two master suites upstairs are a very nice touch for the parents. The living / dining space is quite tight for the number of people. There isn't really a space for a large indoor family dinner. But probably most people won't be going here for that purpose. Another thing to be aware of is there are small stores ~10 min away but large stores / grocers take 30 min to get to. Not much delivers out there either. Again, most people are probably choosing this location for proximity to these things, just something to prepare for. The private beach is really the highlight, and the hosts have pretty much everything you would need to visit the beach. It does look as good as the pictures.

Great getaway

The house and beach were fabulous. Perfect setup for our group -- 2 couples and 2 single adults. As a single adult who slept in one of the bunk rooms, I was concerned before our trip about whether the bunk beds would have good mattresses on them (in my experience, hosts tend to skimp on mattress quality on "kids" beds) -- but my worry was for nothing, the mattresses are very comfortable. It was a very pleasant surprise to find that bald eagles were needing in a nearby tree, so we got to watch them quite often.

Best Family Reunion Ever!

We chose Patrick's house out of several we had narrowed down on the western shore of the Chesapeake. We were extremely happy with our choice. We had enough room for our few small families and basically stayed at the house the whole time; fishing, crabbing, kayaking, swimming and just relaxing. The water was warm with no jelly fish. We enjoyed fishing and crabbing not only in the bay but also in the dock area behind the house. We even were able to have a bon-fire on the beach one night. We caught LOTS of fish and even enough keeper crabs to make 12 nice size crab cakes by the end of a few days of crabbing. They were delicious! A few of us took a short trip one day, less than 40 mins away, to the Calvert Cliffs State Park. It then took us about 50 minutes to walk to the beach, but it was a beautiful day for the hike; which we took our time to enjoy. We found a few shark teeth and fossils and enjoyed our time at the park. Everyone in our family remarked how nice it was to all be together whether we were in the front of the house enjoying the bay or in the rear of the house enjoying the dock; because it was in such close proximity to each other; we were never far apart. We cannot thank Patrick enough for giving our family the opportunity to make the memories we did for our family reunion at his fabulous Chesapeake Bay house!!! We've even all said that we would definitely consider coming back again! The Stewarts and Scotts from Pennsylvania

House location is perfect the backyard is the beach. House was clean and had all the things you need. Owner was prompt in responding to our queries. We would like to come back.
