Relax with the whole family at this serene waterfront getaway. Boating, fishing, swimming, and just hanging out. This place has it all! Catch fish and crabs off the dock. Take a trip to Main St Reedville for great food with a view. Checkout one or all of the wineries and breweries. You can charter fishing trips or sightseeing cruise to Tangier Island. Vir-Mar beach is close by with public access so pack your beach chair and your sand toys!
The space:
3 bedrooms 2 baths.
Primary bedroom 2 queen beds and bathroom.
Second room 1 queen bed.
Third room 1 full bed.
TV in the main rooms.
Large open kitchen and family room.
Private outdoor shower (with hot and cold water) and personal dock.

The house is on the water with a beautiful view.
The area is great for bike rides and walks with the family.
Plenty of private parking in the front.
On the back patio there is seating and a gas grill for outdoor meals on the water.
Man Cave/Boathouse has a beautiful stained-glass window, live edge bar, residential refrigerator, ice maker, and A/C.
You can catch fish and crabs right off the dock!
Fishing poles provided and there is a fish light for night fishing.

Additional boat trailer parking in the neighborhood.

Pets: Pets are welcome! We allow dogs and cats. No breed or weight restrictions. We are pet friendly but only allow pets that are HOUSE BROKEN. Please do not bring your pet if they have not been house trained. This may cause you to incur extra fees for cleaning and/or damage. Please keep your pets on a leash when outside the home or fenced in area.

Please note that this is salt water and all waterfront homes in this area, up and down the Coast, will see jellyfish during the summer. The Chesapeake Bay experiences jellyfish from the months of June-August. There is no way to predict how many will be there. Some weeks you will see very few and some more. This can vary depending on the tides, weather, etc.

Christmas Vacation

We truly enjoyed our stay. We had a very quiet time and enjoyed checking out the area antique shops and restaurants. Would recommend this to family and friends.

Loved this property. We took our boat and it was a very quiet creek that was easy to navigate once you figured out the entrance. Trapped blue crab, fished, and had a ton of fun!

Perfect House on the Water

The house and property were perfect. The description of the house and property were accurate. The house was equipped with everything needed. Only issue was the weather since it rained most of our stay; but nothing anyone could do about that. Would definitely rent this house again.

A Peaceful and Relaxing Retreat

My family and I had one of the best times at Crazy Whays Retreat! We enjoyed the kayaking, fishing, and catching crabs. The location was perfect as it was quiet, peaceful, and private which was just the place my family and I were looking for. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed. We really liked the outdoor shower area as we were able to give our dog a bath after playing in the water. The views were awesome from the outdoor balcony and sitting on the private dock! The price was very reasonable for what you get. The host/property owner, Megan was very kind and communicated well with me. She also did not charge us for a pet fee which was really nice as most places we looked at charged $25 or more for pet fees. All in all, this was the best family retreat we ever had. Would definitely book this property again in the near future!!!

What more do you need?

I’d honestly say this property description wasn’t accurate because they have thought of everything. EVERYTHING is provided to include crab bait,pots, and poles. We kayaked and fished everyday. Will do some research on the night fishing and return

Relaxing and clean

My husband and I loved our stay with our pets! The place was clean and cozy. The backyard was fenced which was perfect for our dogs. We used the kayaks, fished, and used the grill which made our stay fun and memorable. Thank you so much for having us and we will definitely book again!

Welcome to our VRBO listing! We are Megan and Jim Moran. A little about us: We love to restore homes that seem to be to far gone. We bring them back to life and then share them with you! Our passion is historical homes. We love the stories they tell about their era and owners. When restoring we love to learn about the previous owners and save some of that history with our restorations. We love our fur babies and welcome pets as part of the family.

As a stucco contractor by trade, Jim and his team did all of the restorations to this beautiful waterfront property. Several others looked at this house and felt it was to far gone and not worth the investment. Jim, however, saw something totally different. He saw what it could be with hard work and a little TLC. Take a look at the before and after pictures in the kitchen when you stay!
Tucked into a quiet creek, this house is the perfect getaway to unwind and get back to you!

Hot and cold water at the sink at the dock. This is perfect to clean your catch of the day! The outdoor shower is spacious and the beautiful bamboo provides privacy. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood but its still close to town with plenty of things to do! Winery, restaurants, charter fishing and more.
