Profitez de votre séjour dans une maison à charpente en «A» avec un plan d'étage ouvert qui se trouve sur un grand terrain partiellement boisé. Il a une vue spectaculaire sur la baie de Chesapeake et a un nombre illimité de choses à faire sur la propriété et dans les villes locales. Vous pouvez vous détendre sur le pont ou vous asseoir au bord de l'eau. Rafraîchissez-vous dans la baie ou dans la piscine. Après le dîner, vous pourrez vous détendre au coin du feu et regarder passer les gros navires. Vous quitterez le cou nordique détendu et prêt pour le monde réel! Another amazing Baycation!!

We LOVE this place! The house, the location and the hosts are absolutely wonderful! It is a perfect place to unwind and disconnect from the madness of the city or life in general--so peaceful and relaxing. Perfect weather week on the bay.

Great stay, property as described. Owner very responsive to texting or messaging on app. Road bikes to downtown Reedville more than once, fished, swam, built fires, enjoyed the pool, kayaking and sat around enjoying the views and calm breeze off the bay. Would definitely stay again.

We discovered this lovely property a few years ago and have made an annual visit for the past 5 years and we have not been disappointed! Amazing views of the Bay, a pool, and a cozy house made for relaxing... its the perfect escape.

A Special Place

We really enjoyed our stay. The views, the wildlife, the pool and the bay were all highlights. Quiet and somewhat private. Went out on a very successful fishing charter with Fishers bay charters.

Great

Beautiful place and surroundings, nice and clean. Enjoyed watching the dolphins, the bald eagle, and other wildlife with some otters that came to visit one morning. Even though the rain didn't cooperate at times we did get to enjoy the pool a few days. Jen was really nice and answered any questions. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Enjoyed our stay

House location is perfect. Right on the bay. Beautiful views. Pool looked nice but too cold to use. Plenty of room for our group. Comfortable. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of parking. Could have used a few more bath/hand towels but well supplied with all the essentials.

Another great stay

This was our 4th time I think staying here and it's such a lovely house! All you need to relax! There was a late communication about bringing our own pool towels, but hopefully it will be communicated earlier in the future. Such a treasure in the Bay!

This house is the perfect place for families. Lots of outdoor space to run and play. The morning sunrises and the evening moonrises were spectacular. Supples for the house were plentiful. Would definitely stay there again.

Best VRBO I ever stayed in

This property is an absolute bargain. Prettier then the pictures show. Very clean and everything you need is there. The amenities offered are unbelievable. We enjoyed the kayaks, waterboard, pool, and fire pit. This VRBO has set a high bar for all the others.

Absolutely Enjoyable!

We took my parents down along with our three children ages 11, 8, and 3. We never had a dull moment as there is just so many things to do from swimming In the pool while looking right out into the bay, playing yard games, or just relaxing on a comfy chair while watching the dolphins swim by. This is a great spot to visit!

great place

Great place to relax and unwind. Crazy Crab is a great restaurant in Reedville as well as Chitterchats ice-cream parlor. Bay was nice for kayaking and catch/release crabbing, the kids enjoyed the pool as well as the adults. The Osprey were amazing to watch as they put on quite a show when fishing for breakfast and dinner. Great home, tranquil area and wonderful owners.

Wonderful family house

We had a great visit. The house is in an excellent spot; right on the bay with great views and fishing. Add the pool, and you're set for the weekend! The house was very well stocked; I've never stayed anywhere that had EVERYTHING you could need. The owner is very attentive and quick to respond. We will definitely come back!!

Wonderful Vacation

We had the best week at this beautiful home! We loved the decor and felt right at home from the minute we arrived. This home has everything you would need or want, from the fully stocked kitchen to pool toys. We had beautiful weather all week and although it was very hot we didn't care because we floated in the pool every day looking at the amazing views. We took a half hour ride to Kilmarnock where there are restaurants, shops, and boutiques. We had lunch at Small Town Burger, one of the best burgers we ever had. Jen and Jim were readily available for any questions we had! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home, we can't wait to return!

Ready to go back!

What a wonderful home with a crazy beautiful view! There were so many fun things to do even though it rained and stormed almost the entire time we were there. But the disco ball definitely put “the icing on the cake” for my granddaughter’s 11th birthday! So fun! We can’t wait to return to enjoy all the other fun outdoor activities we didn’t get to do!

Another Perfect Baycation

This was our second stay at The Baycation House and it did not disappoint. The house was stocked with essentials, the picturesque views of the bay are unmatched, and the pool was perfect. The six of us (four adults and two children) had plenty of space and loved that we could all fit comfortably at the large dining room table. Jen was quick to respond and offered great suggestions if you plan on venturing off their little slice of tucked away paradise. Already looking forward to our next stay at the “blue house” as my kids my deemed it! Thank you!

Fantastic

This was all the write up says and more. There is everything you need above and beyond. Truly a well stocked kitchen. The pool was great and watching the Osprey at the waters edge feeding their little one was a lot of fun. You can not go wrong staying here if you want to really relax and unwind and enjoy the views. We highly recommend the Maritime museum in Reedville and crabs from down the street at Cockrells Seafood.. The owner was very attentive and was very available when we needed. Look forward to returning again.

Relaxing getaway

We wanted our family vacation this year to be a vacation of rest and relaxation. This house delivered! Between the kayaks, the pool, the fire pit, the horseshoes, the golf in the surrounding area etc... there is no shortage of things to do. Our kids split their time between the pool and the bay and had a great time. The sunrises in the morning are second to none. A photographer's dream. The property was clean and full with everything you would need from band aids to serving trays. The owners were quick and responsive with any questions we had. If you are a golfer, I would highly recommend the King Carter Golf course about 20 minutes away. You won't be disappointed. We will be taking another vacation here in the future.u

Happy New Years!

This house is just perfect for a family gathering! My three children and their spouses and our granddaughter stayed here for a long weekend to ring in the new year. There is enough room to spread out but still be together. We always had a jigsaw puzzle in the works on one table, a game going on the dining room table and some watching a movie on the TV. There are plenty of good books to read and games and puzzles to play. Lots of toys for kids too. The view is spectacular. We spent the first day and night gathered around the fire pit. The next two days were rainy but there was so much to do inside we just enjoyed the family time. The kitchen is the best equipped kitchen I have ever seen at a rental. They have everything you would ever need! Even a disco light , which we had on every night for dance parties with the 4 year old! We had a wonderful time ringing in the new year here!

Family Vacation - Huge Success!

We plan a trip every 3 years for our family. This year we planned a trip to the Chesapeake Bay House... I do have to say it was a HUGE SUCCESS! All of the kids (big and small) loved it. The house was amazing, stocked with everything you could need and some extra things on top of that. The pool was beautiful and refreshing and got a lot of use! The views were just amazing, from anywhere you stood in the house, outside... AWESOME. We cant thank you enough for sharing this little piece of heaven... My grandkids are already asking when they can go back. All of my children said this was their best vacation by far (and they have been to alot of places).... We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to just relax and enjoy the Chesapeake Bay breeze... also to those who are interested in some day trips. We hit Yorktown, Virginia Living Museum, VA Beach, Tangier Island, Reedville Fishermans Museum, a couple of us successfully completed the Go Ape Treetop Adventure in Williamsburg and spent an afternoon walking around Kilmarnock.

We are so proud of our bay house and we want to share it with others. We are a family of 5 which includes 3 young boys that love the outdoors and they are always busy. That is why our house has many indoor and outdoor activities provided. So at the end of everyday your children (and adults too) are tired and ready for bed!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We discovered the Northern Neck in the winter of 2012 when we rented a house over President's Weekend. We loved it so much we returned to the Northern Neck for our childrens' April vacation. After that we decided to start looking for a vacation home of our own.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The house has many great features. The most obvious is the amazing view of the Chesapeake Bay. You can watch the sunrise every morning from the family room, pool deck, the hammock or from the Adirondack chairs in the yard. The pool and the bay are both great spots to relax on a raft or take a dip to cool off. Or you can take a kayak out for a relaxing ride or a good workout. For the more adventurous people you can go fishing and crabbing in the bay too.
