This was a great spot. The house was clean and well maintained. It was the perfect location and scenery for our group who wanted to just spend a weekend away! The owner was a really nice gentleman who took us to the top of the property on a utility vehicle.
A very cozy home in a wonderful rural setting, and warm hosts. Not far from Llano or Fredericksburg or Enchanted rock (sadly closed due to ice while here, requiring a return trip), very easy to find, and a perfect location for exploring the area. Thanks Kristie for your hospitality and sharing your place with us
We had a wonderful three night family get together. Our hosts were wonderful and the cabin was very nice. Clean and well equipped, it was nice watching the sunrise from the front porch while hummingbirds zipped around the flowerbeds. The friendly ranch animals visited us both evenings and mornings. It was a nice quiet setting in the hill country with beautiful mountain drives into the historic town of Fredericksburg. Thank you Lonnie and Joan for sharing.
It was an awesome getaway to the TX Hill Country for our family! The house was quaint and had plenty of room for our family of 5 (4 adults and 1 child). The sunrise views on the amazing front porch were priceless and dinners in the evening on the back screened-in porch were very nice. The property owners were so kind and accommodating. They treated us like friends! They had beautiful landscape around so there were so many butterflies. The donkeys were our sonâs favorite part! Getting to feed them was a part Iâm sure heâll remember for a long time. Checking out was seamless as well as you just have to make sure to pack everything you brought - no added to-doâs. Thank you to Kristie and her parents for such warm hospitality!!
To note, there currently is no wifi/internet at the rental property, so if you need to do some work youâll need to bring a hotspot.
This is a beautiful property with a lovely front porch for viewing gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. You could spend hours just enjoying the peaceful serenity. And, you might even see some deer. The cabin has comfortable beds, and the kitchen is well equipped. Feeding the donkeys was a bonus!
But if that wasnât enough itâs only 25 to 30 minutes from Fredericksburg, 15 minutes to Enchanted Rock and approximately 25 minutes to Kerriville where the Empty Cross is located.
We loved our stay and hope to return next year!
Don't miss out on the chance to see absolutely beautiful sunrise colors. Get up, make your coffee, and enjoy the views! Fun property. Clean and equipped. Excellent home base for visiting Enchanted Rock, Fredericksburg, and other Hill Country sights. Our 6 y/o loved the donkeys.
The atmosphere there is so amazing. Peaceful. And loving and accepting. Great place to relax and just re group. Stomie is so sweet( the dog) and the donkeys are very friendly. God bless this home!
This was another of our weekend trips around central Texas. We had a grand time playing cards, shopping and eating. The cafe on the square was fantastic. The fabric store had beautiful material and the ladies there were so nice. The house was clean and just what we needed.. It would have helped if we could have had a list of TV stations available. We hope tp retirm again. Ann Lewis
My girlfriends and I booked this property for a girls weekend away. We absolutely loved catching up while watching the hummingbirds at the feeder and butterflies feeding from the zinnias. The view out of the front porch towards the plateau landscape was a wonderful backdrop as we sat on the rocking chairs on the front porch and enjoyed our desserts. I'm sure the stars would have been wonderful as well but there were a few too many insects outside for our liking haha. Took us about 30 minutes to drive to Fredericksburg for dinner and wine tasting. Would definitely recommend this VRBO to anyone needing some time away from home to refresh and recharge, it's a very peaceful atmosphere.
This was the perfect location for a full day of hiking at nearby Enchanted Rock. Very comfortable, clean and inviting. Friendly donkeys and hosts. Highly recommend.
We absolutely loved this place! It was so very clean and the property owners were so easy to work with and communicate with! They made our trip one we want to repeat!
I brought my mom and my aunt, plus my two daughters for one night away for Motherâs Day. We all enjoyed sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs and enjoyed the view. My girls enjoyed feeding the sweet donkeys. Joan and Lony (live in home adjacent to guest house) were so kind to offer to let my daughter park her vehicle out under their barn awning as a thunderstorm was approaching and possibly hail. We really enjoyed relaxing and slept the best I have in a long time. Would definitely recommend this property.
I can not say enough about this place! It was quiet, clean and with plenty of space for our family of 5. It is on beautiful acreage and the owner's Dad lives next door should you need anything. Donkeys and the sweetest little dog checked on us daily. Perfect for Enchanted Rock goers and those who like to visit but not get beat down by the crowds at Fredericksburg! We will book again!!
We had a couple hiccups on our first trip as a family, but Kristie and Joan really stepped in to make things as comfortable as possible. There's no better place to be in April than the Texas Hill Country!
The location is close to some hill country gems including Enchanted Rock, Llano and the Longhorn Cave and it's located away from city lights so the stars at night were incredible. The house itself had everything our family of 5 needed. Ample sleeping space and a fully stocked kitchen.
This was an excellent rental property with great amenities. We have a family of 5 and everyone had their own bed! Easy check in...easy check out. Thank u!!

I was born and raised in Llano, but after college and marriage was blessed to live in many different areas of the US. My husband and I have just recently moved back to the Hill Country, and are greatly enjoying being back home complete with the beautiful sunrises and sunsets.
This home is the best of all worlds...it is nestled in the beautiful hills of the country between Fredericksburg and Llano. It is a short drive to either location, not to mention, Enchanted Rock is located right up the road from it.
From the living room and the front porch there is a view of the surrounding mountains to the east. The sunrises are awesome! Don't be surprised if the miniature donkeys come up to the fence for "treats".
