My family loved staying here. The rooms were beautiful and had plenty of space for two teenagers and two adults. The location was convenient, but not on a busy/noisy canal.

The location of the apartment was simply superb. The apartment overlooks a small and charming canal in a very quiet and lightly-trafficked neighborhood that is convenient to numerous shops, restaurants, and all of Venice’s main attractions. The apartment itself is enchanting, as well as spotless and well-equipped with everything one could need to feel at home. All communications with the owners were pleasant and friendly. We had more than enough space and felt quite comfortable. We would highly recommend this apartment without hesitation.

This finely appointed, historic yet spacious apartment was the perfect spot for our Venice vacation. Just north of the hustle and bustle, everything was within walking distance, but it was great to come back at the end of the day and stay on a quiet street. Just one canal up and we had access to plenty of restaurants and lively options, but we really enjoyed being slightly more secluded from the rest of the tourists.The communication with the Property Manager was great. They were very helpful with check-in and the unit itself was perfect for our family. Lots of room, multiple bathrooms, a great kitchen if you wanted to cook in it.I would definitely recommend staying here the next time you come to Venice!

We loved our stay! The apartment is enormous, quiet, cool with the much needed AC on, in a lovely neighborhood and had everything one could need.We loved being out of the fray of the more central area but within a 30 minute walk to everything we wanted to see. It also allowed us to see a lot of areas we might have otherwise missed. Communication was excellent, our hosts were responsive and gracious.Venice itself was magical.

I never write reviews but this place was magical and the perfect blend of Venices rich history. Close enough to all the activities but far enough to enjoy a residential neighborhood with loads of restaurants and gelato. Looks exactly like the pictures with impeccable architectural details and canal views from every room. We loved returning to this space and the host was amazing!

Absolute beauty and accommodation

The property absolutely lives up to the photos. Beautiful, clean, and gorgeous views. The neighborhood has everything you need in a few minutes walk and the host was extremely accommodating and made sure we had all of the information we needed. They even checked in with me on the morning of my departure to make sure I knew about a strike that could impact my travel plans. Amazing!

Great apartment in a quieter neighborhood

Loved that it was a block away from the busy street - close enough to get to things quickly but just far away enough to get away from the crowds. Host was super friendly and understanding when we couldn't estimate our arrival time accurately with all the boats. House adorable! The top bedroom is only accessible by a spiral staircase so our kids slept on the couches instead (which they thought was fun!).Felt like a real house they just loaned to us for a couple of days. Thank you for allowing us to borrow your house!

Wonderful stay in Venice!

The home is wonderful and the owners were even more remarkable! From our first communication to leaving Venice, Marc & Elisabeth responded right away and assisted in making our first trip to Venice even better than we could have hoped! The photos show the apartment very well! The location is easy to get to either by walking or water. It is in a charming area with rich history. We took the water taxi from the airport to the door of the apartment! When leaving The owners even pre-booked our water taxi for us to ensure we made water taxi to our first train! (The trains had gone on strike so we had to change train accommodations to early morning.) I would absolutely stay here again!

Fabulous location, very cool decor

The property is one canal over from the best strip of bars and restaurants in Venice, definitely go to El Timon while there. Extremely well stocked kitchen and a short walk to the grocery store in the converted theatre. Comfy beds and incredibly cool mix of old style palazzo with Asian influences. Elisabeth was a lovely host, great communication, easy checkin & check out. Highly recommend staying here on all counts, except if you’re a light sleeper, bring ear plugs because there’s a fair amount of noise from people (staff maybe?) leaving the restaurant below at 3am every night. Otherwise a perfect stay!

Gorgeous Apartment

My family of 5 stayed in this gorgeous Venice apartment for 5 days. It is even more beautiful in person than in the photographs. It is in a less touristy area so was an excellent escape from the summer crowds, but an easy and beautiful walk to the popular tourist areas. There were several great restaurants within a couple of minutes walk. The owner was more than accommodating, and the business side of the transaction was easy and stressless. They provided bread, milk and fruit for us on arrival. The beds were very comfortable and having 3 bathrooms was great. My whole family gasped when we entered for the first time ("oooo, ahhhh") and thanked me for bringing them there. I highly recommend this property.

Amazing!

This property was clean and so unique. We loved the property and the history it held! We want to come back if we come to Venice again! Elisabeth made the check in so easy, waiting for us to arrive! She gave us great information about restaurants and an amazing grocery store in an old theatre that was close. My mom (73), friend (68), husband and 16 year old daughter and myself had plenty of space. My daughter loved the 'attic' bedroom all to herself. The views out the windows were amazing and opening them in the morning let a cool breeze through. The location of the property was close to all the tours we planned and was able to walk within 30 mins to St. Marks. Everything else was closer! Coming back to air conditioning was great after our long and hot days out! Also being away from the severely crowded tourist areas was great too!! One canal over was lively at night and we were able to find drinks very late at night. Al Timon is HIGHLY recommended if you like meat! All in all, we have no complaints and have so many compliments for this location and want to come back!!

Appartement très chaleureux, où le se sent rapidement comme à la maison. Il est bien équipé, la literie est confortable. Avec trois lits doubles, il est parfait pour 6 personnes, avec une décoration asiatique assez sympa. Il est très très lumineux, avec une belle orientation sud-est. assis au bureau, notamment, on a vu sur le canal et le petit pont qui se trouve à l'angle. Baigné de soleil, c'est vraiment un pur plaisir de s'installer et travailler là. L'endroit est calme en journée, parfois un peu plus animé en soirée car l'appartement se situe au dessus d'un restaurant. Canaregio est un quartier très légèrement excentré par rapport à l'axe Piazzale Roma - San Marco, ce qui le place en retrait de l'agitation touristique, mais avec toutes les commodités à 5 mn (magnifique supermarché Despar dans le Teatro notamment). Le soir venu, c'est le spot prisé de la jeunesse pour boire un verre de Spritz le long des quais. Ravi du séjour.

L’endroit est calme et bien situé

Voila un appartement situé au premier étage et sur un coin avec de belles vues sur le canal. L’intérieur de la maison est trés spacieux et rempli de beaux souvenirs de voyages en Asie, Afrique et Amérique du sud. Les chambres ont du charme. La hauteur exceptionelle des plafonds donne de l’espace. L’accueil est chaleureux. On arrive en bateau taxi devant l’immeuble depuis Marco Polo. J’ai vraiment aimé ce habre de paix et d’appel aux voyages.

Run, not walk, to book this appartment !

We are frquent travellers to Venice, which we visited probably 15 times. This time was the third time we stayed with our family (2 adults and 4 children from 9 to 18) in his beautiful place in Venise. After experiencing many places, including hotels, rooms, appartments, we believe that we at last found our place. It is an beautifuly decorated apartment, with everything needed for feeling just like at home. We especially appreciate the furniture and amenities of the appartment, in a renovated small palazzo. The kitchen and batroom are modern, which is of great value in Venice. It is ideally located in the Cannaregio district, which is in our opinion the best place for staying in Venice. This is probably the last typical neighborhood were you can live among Venetian people, with many shops, supermarkets, bars and small restaurants, aside from the streets packed with tourists. Above all, Marc is a wondeful host, and we are always welcome with kindness and attention. This is definitively the place to be in Venice.

Just stayed here a week ago, October 2014. It is well equipped, comfortable, great location and it many staples. We loved our stay and the rental was very spacious for three couples. Would highly recommend it. The owner was very easy to deal with as well. J. McGeachy

Our first trip to Venice made more enjoyable by Marc's assistance pre arrival.Apartment was clean spacious and attractive with everything in working order. WElcomepack of food/drink was one of the most extensive we have encountered and was most appreciated. The area had a very venetian feel being away from the main tourist area which was still easily reached by we seventies oldies! After days of sightseeing it was good to bask in evening sunshine along the canal at one of the local bars and enjoy a spritz! We would like to return here

Clean and Comfortable - A Home Away From Home

We found that the apartment was even nicer than communicated through the listing. It was clean and comfortable with lots of bedding and towels; the kitchen was well stocked with cutlery, dishes, functioning appliances and dish towels which enabled us to easily prepare food and clean up as desired. There was also access to a washing machine. We were pleased to find that fresh bread, jam, beer, and fruit had been supplied for our arrival, and it was much appreciated after a long day of travel. There is a restaurant right next door to the apartment and many more within easy walking distance. Since this location is not right in the middle of a tourist area, we were able to experience a little bit of regular Venetian life, as well as seeing the amazing sights. The owners were easy to communicate with, and the apartment information, recommendations and suggestions provided were very helpful. If we ever return to Venice I look forward to staying here again!

séjour enchanteur

Un endroit idéal pour passer son séjour à Venise. Cannaregio est beaucoup plus authentique que les centres touristiques tout en étant très bien desservi pas bâteau ou même très accessible à pied. Un appartement vraiment charmant avec un belle hauteur sous plafond et une cuisine moderne. Aussi l'air conditionné qui est bien appréciable l'été. A conseille tant aux couples qu' aux familles. Wonderful property!

Gorgeous building with so much character and equipped with all the comforts of home. Location was perfect, minutes away from bars and restaurants and a 15 minute walk to the Rialto bridge. Apartment is in a quiet area in the Cannaregio neighbourhood. Elizabeth is very accommodating and so proud to share Venice with her guests. Highly recommended.
