All aspects of this property were spot on the description. The location had wonderful amenities and easy access to all Olympic National Park happenings! The hot tub and grill were awesome additions, and the space was kept cool and comfortable.
It didn't matter what the weather was like, there was always something to do. Having a great time indoors and outdoors. We will be back another time sometime soon.
This property is incredible, looks even better in person! Has everything you could need and the beds are super comfy as well! The accessibility is amazing! We lived this place so much and could not get over how cute and beautiful it all was! I hope to return in the future!
My husband and I have been coming to Brenda's cabin in the winter for five years now and we continue to love it. Brenda is a lovely host and the cabin is such a cozy gettaway. We'll be back again next year!
As usual, everything was comfortable and spotless. This was our 5th? time staying on this beautiful property. Is is so relaxing and quiet with the only noise being the Sol Duc River rushing by. Weâve celebrated many special occasions here. This one was a milestone birthday for Michael. We enjoy the huge hot tub in the evenings and sitting on the large covered deck watching and listening to the river.
Loved our stay, very clean and quiet! Good location for seeing the Hoh and Sol Duc Falls. Would definitely want to stay again! Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin!
We came for a quiet girls weekend for my friends 40th birthday and it was delightful. The hot tub was great, the property is beautiful and the cabin is nice and cozy.
We loved our stay in the Riversong cottage on the beautiful Sol Duc River. It is incredibly cozy and well maintained space fit for a peaceful relaxing retreat. Also in great proximity to outdoor adventures. We will be back!
Very clean cabin situated in a great location for exploring Olympic. Everything was very clean and the hot tub was a real treat after a long day of exploring and hiking. Watching the river from the back deck is very peaceful.
This was the best vacation home we have ever rented! The cleanliness, amenities and location were excellent! It was a perfect escape for a week of hiking and enjoying nature. My family and I truly enjoyed our stay and plan to return next year!
It is a wonderful place to stay. The cabin was immaculate inside with added details to make it feel warm and welcoming.
Loved having the river so close and sitting in the hot tub listening to the sounds of the river flowing was magical and soothing.
We are Ted and Brenda Connely. Brenda grew up in Forks. Ted moved from Nebraska to Port Angeles is 1976. We were living in Port Angeles when we found this property. A friend mentioned it might be available. It had an old house sadly in need of love. A garage looking like it would go over in the next strong wind sat where Riversong sits today. We spent several years fixing up the old house, which is now our Cedarbreeze cabin. We burned down the old garage before it fell down and had a garden in its place one year. One spring morning the next year, Brenda told Ted she had arranged for a man to come with a tractor and rototill the garden space that day. When she got home a foundation had been dug instead. That tractor had a backhoe on it. Ted said I need a shop. Brenda said we don't even live here full time. He said, well, we might. And he was right. A couple of years later Brenda came home from work in Port Angeles packing Sam the cat and said to Ted, 'We live here now, we're always here anyway.' So the house in Port Angeles was sold and we all lived happily in the old house on the river, and Ted enjoyed his shop, but after several long wet winters we decided to buy a larger home closer to Forks. Still on the river but not as special. We couldn't bring ourselves to sell the Riverside place, so we started renting the old house and the guest room we had built above the garage as vacation rentals. We had so many bookings we decided to turn Ted's former shop into another cabin. And that is how Riversong came to be.
Even though the property was all grown up with weeds and brush and the old house was very run down, we knew at first sight this was our place. The sparkling river running along the edge of the yard, the golden light coming through the trees, just the peaceful feel of the place. Many guests have used the word 'magical' to describe their feeling about the place.
We originally bought this property for our own vacation home with no thought of its potential as a vacation rental property. But not only is it a beautiful, relaxing, welcoming spot to stay, it is very handily located within an hour's drive of nearly all the attractions of the northwest section of Olympic National Park. Many guest comment on what a great base camp it is for seeing the park. We have often heard how nice it is to come home to after a day of hiking and exploring to sit by the river, BBQ on the deck, soak in the hot tub, build a fire in the firepit, and sleep in the very comfortable beds.
