Me, my husband and my daughter loved this place. It was very clean and comfortable. The surrounding was beautiful. We could see the river from the house. The management team responded very fast. We would love to stay here again.
What a perfect place from which to explore Olympic National Park. We had a great stay in the Loft aprtment. It was clean, comfortable, well stocked, and had fun extras that made our stay memorable -board games, yard games, fire pit all were very popular. My family of 4 had a gewat time. Highly recommend.
This place was perfect! The river and provided amenities were so nice, check in process was easy and the host was extremely responsive and kind. The neighbors were sweet and the location was great for getting around the national park. Couldnât recommend better, we loved it!
Our stay was peaceful and comfortable. It had a beautiful view of the river. The loft was cozy, homey and clean and had everything we needed. We could stay here again and again.
Stayed as a launch point to la push beach one day and to cape flattery second day. Was very relaxing hearing the river rapids so close. The kitchen had everything we needed to make some meals, but most importantly a lot of coffee. Even though it was a studio it felt much bigger. Would go back in a heartbeat!
Comfortable, central location for seeing Olympic National Park
Very comfortable bed and HVAC, handy convenient kitchen, thoughtful communication from owner. The property is centrally located for seeing all of Olympic National Park.
We had a great time staying in the Loft by the Sol Duc River. It was centrally located place for trips to Neah Bay, Rialto Beach, and the Hoh River Rain Forest. The kitchen and grill are well appointed; the bed is comfortable; and the Loft as a whole is quite comfortable. It is a very nice place, and we look forward to coming back again.
This was the most beautiful and convenient location for our week long vacation! The amenities and comfort were excellent! Itâs the best rental weâve ever had. And we will return next year for sure!
Convenient location for where we wanted to visit in Olympic National Park. Also, it was a pretty drive to Cape Flattery and Shi Shi beach. We would happily stay here again on our next visit!
We had an amazing stay and had everything we needed. We knew the space was on the small side, but it was super functional for cooking, sleeping, and relaxing. Plus, having the lawn and river for our boys to spread out along with outdoor tables for coffee or picnicking made it all feel just perfect!
We really enjoyed this stay. It is centrally located for all parts of the park that we planned to visit. The rental is very comfortable and efficient. It had everything our family needed to cook, eat, and sleep.
The loft was adorable on a beautiful property. Would definitely stay here again. Host was kind and helpful and location was very convenient for day adventures in the National Park.
One of our favorites. Ideally situated for day trips to the must see places in the Olympic National Park. Beautiful setting and charming space. We really enjoyed our stay.
Totally amazing!!!! Really loved everything about this place!!
Beautiful location, very cute and comfortable accommodations, lots of added extras!! Loved being able to have a fire down by the river. Very romantic!!
The location on the Sol Duc River is beautiful, with a large, well-maintained grass area between the cabins and the river. The Loft was clean and comfortable, and had all the amenities needed for the stay.
We are Ted and Brenda Connely. Brenda grew up in Forks. Ted is from Nebraska but has been here on the Olympic Peninsula since 1976. We were living in Port Angeles when we found our river place. A friend mentioned the property might be available. We bought it and spent every spare moment for the next four years fixing up the old house on the property. One day in March of 2004 Brenda came back to the cabin from work in Port Angeles carrying Sam the cat, who had been the only one occupying the house in Port Angeles most of the time. 'We live here now,' she announced, 'we're always here anyway.' She got no argument from Ted and so the house in Port Angeles was sold and we became full time residents at the cabin. Since the cabin had only one bedroom and no garage, we decided to take care of both problems at once and build a garage with an apartment above. The loft was our guest room until we decided to buy a larger home closer to Forks, still on the river but not as special. We couldn't bring ourselves to sell the Riverside place so we decided to share it with others by turning in into a vacation rental. It has been gratifying to see our guests love it too. So many have told us they don't want to leave at the end of their stay.
Even though the property was all grown up with weeds and the house was very run down, we knew at first sight this was our place. The sparkling river running along the edge of the yard, the golden light coming through the trees, just the peaceful feel of the place. Many guests have used the word 'magical' to describe their feelings about the place.
We originally bought this property for our own vacation home with no thought of its potential as a vacation rental property. But not only is it a beautiful, relaxing, welcoming spot to stay, it is very handily located within an hour's drive of nearly all the attractions of the northwest section of Olympic National Park. Many guest comment on what a great base camp it is for seeing the park. We have often heard how nice it is to come home to after a day of hiking and exploring to sit by the river, BBQ on the deck, sit by the river, build a fire in the firepit, and sleep in the very comfortable beds.
