Détendez-vous dans ce fabuleux chalet au bord de l'eau, Puerto Del Sol, avec vue panoramique sur la rivière North et la baie Mobjack.

Dans la matinée, avec une tasse de café, vous pourrez profiter de regarder les activités des watermen locaux tirant leurs pots de crabe dans le confort de votre véranda.

Avec votre jetée privée, les activités quotidiennes peuvent inclure la natation, le crabe et la pêche. Il vous offre également un endroit pour attacher votre jet ski ou votre petit bateau. Si nager dans la baie n'est pas votre tasse de thé, il y a toujours votre piscine privée pour en profiter.

En début de soirée, les couchers de soleil spectaculaires peuvent être appréciés depuis la véranda, la véranda ou la jetée. Alors que les vues à Puerto Del Sol sont à couper le souffle, l'intérieur est chaleureux et confortable. Le salon est grand avec un grand coin salon, une cheminée, une télévision et un lecteur combiné magnétoscope / DVD. Il y a aussi un solarium à l'arrière de la maison pour un espace de vie supplémentaire avec un autre téléviseur. Il y a une suite parentale au premier étage avec salle de bain privée qui est meublée avec un lit queen-size, dispose également d'une télévision. Les deux chambres supplémentaires sont à l'étage, une avec un lit queen et l'autre avec deux lits jumeaux. Ces chambres partagent une salle de bain complète. Apportez vos propres draps.

Il y a trois zones pour profiter de vos repas. La salle à manger à l'intérieur qui est meublée d'une table en pin antique, le porche de l'écran a une table en fer forgé avec dessus en verre et la piscine a une table supplémentaire avec parasol.

Nous fournissons tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour des vacances reposantes, y compris une cuisine entièrement équipée, des jeux, des puzzles et des livres.

Beautiful location on the river

Great property for our family of 5. We enjoyed hanging by the pool and on the dock. Our favorite thing to do was watching the rays swim by.

Lovely stay!

Our family of 4 and our 2 friends absolutely loved the house! We spent each day in the pool, fishing, kayaking, hanging out in the screened in porch, and relaxing in the room overlooking the water. I the location was great, easy drive to Mathew’s for groceries, ice cream, and dinner. Great communication with the host, easy check-in and home was just as the pictures show. We can’t wait to return!

Amazing

Our vacation was nothing short of amazing! Just what we needed for a relaxing week. Everything from checking in to the home decor. Rooms are spacious. Kitchen had everything we could need. Fishing and crabbing off the pier, swimming in the pool and the sunsets take your breath away. We enjoyed every minute and we had toddler, teenager and adults. Enough to entertain everyone We can’t thank you enough for sharing your home with us. We 1000 % recommend to anyone

What a week in Virginia!

What a week in Virginia, My family of 6 stayed at your house and had the most wonderful time. The house was very warm and inviting. We could not have asked for a better place to get away from our busy lives in NYC. The pool was enjoyed by everyone every day, especially by my two younger ones. We enjoyed the wonderful river with a dock that allowed us to fish, kayak & crab. Thank you for providing the crab cages. What a wonderful gift. We ate blue crab every night and a few fish. We would highly recommend this house if one is seeking a place with everything one needs for a time of enjoyable solitude from the hustle of life. Thank you again for the wonderful accommodations. We hope to return again.

Labor Day Break

The property was lovely-very peaceful and quiet, with a lot of bird life. The boys fished off of kayaks and off of the dock, and my husband caught a huge red drum. We used the crab traps. Swam in the pool. The nicest vacation we have had in some time.

The house is very nice and beautiful view of the river. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities of well stocked kitchen and some toiletries. We enjoyed the town of Mathew’s and the closeness of historical sites.

Perfect Stay

We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful home! My husband andI brought my parents and our son and nephew, so a total of 6 of us and 3 generations. The house was just as it was listed and fit us all perfectly. We spent almost every waking hour on the dock or in the screened porch. The view was so incredible. We were so lucky to be there over the most perfect crisp and sunny fall weekend. The pool was too cold but we knew that may be the case and still appreciated that Patti left it open for us. The kitchen was so well stocked. We only left one day to take a drive around and visit "town.". Otherwise we just relaxed, fished, crabbed, read, played cards, grilled and enjoyed some family time. Thank you Patti and Glenn for opening your home up and being so easy to reach. We only had a few questions, but we heard back each time almost immediately! I would highly recommend this home and these lovely owners. Thank you and we hope to be back!!

Beautiful Sunsets

We had a nice vacation at this house. The pier was our favorite spot and we caught a lot of fish including a small shark! The pool was nice, but around 20 small crabs would get in there every night so we would spend a lot of time catching them before we could swim. We loved the little town of Matthews and ate their often.

Lovely place for a long weekend!

This place was clean with a well - stocked kitchen (appliances). We did a lot of cooking and relaxing and being on the lake was just absolutely beautiful. My mom said she hadn't felt so relaxed or slept so well in a long time. It was a trip to spend with my parents so I'm super happy they also enjoyed it so much! Lots of nature trails close by and also not too far from town whenever we needed supplies.

A Little Piece of Heaven

We absolutely loved this rental and hope to rent it again. The photos don't do it justice. The river is peaceful and the sunsets are spectacular. The pool is perfect to take a dip in after soaking up rays on the water while fishing for crab. If you are looking for quiet, views, water and a beautiful home, this is the place to go.

The R&R We Needed

We found this property through a random VRBO search months ago and drove quite a ways to get there, so we weren't sure exactly what to expect. From the house to the pool to the dock, it was perfect! We took day trips to Williamsburg and Busch Gardens, but also explored the Mathews area and local beaches. After each excursion, we were excited to get back to the pool and to the dock in time for sunset. Ahhh those sunsets...I'll be thinking about them during the dark winter months. The owner, Patti, was helpful and responsive. I highly recommend this home if you're looking for a relaxing getaway far from the crowds.

Family Vacation in August

Overall this was a good home for our family vacation. We were looking for a place where we could be on the water to re-live our childhood memories of crabbing and being on the bay. The pool was also important to help entertain our kids. The home was as pictured but beware there is a reason the bathrooms aren’t pictured. They are very dated and are in need of updating. Most of the home was very clean but the home is tired overall. We had to do a deep clean in the kitchen after we found one too many gross things in the drawers and fridge despite it looking clean on counters and surfaces. The bedrooms were very ample size and setup. The beds are not very comfortable but tolerable for a week. The pool has just been redone and is in good shape. The water was nice and warm! We did have issues with water being cloudy and even slightly green everyday until our last day. The owner was good about working with the pool company to have it resolved but it was just a bummer that we didn’t feel comfortable having our kids swim in it during a portion of our week. By far the best part of this home is the sunsets on the dock and crabbing. We got 74 crabs in 5 days! Lastly, just a fair warning that this home is very rural. We didn’t realize exactly how far away you are from any conveniences until we didn’t more specific research on the area a couple weeks before our trip. If you want to be away from everything this would be a great spot (we literally only saw 7 boats and 1 person from the house all week) but if you like to go out to eat or be close to stores, medical care, entertainment options you will be disappointed.

Can’t wait to come back

Had the most amazing vacation! Woke up every morning to a few crabs in the pot caught stingrays, sea trout, saw turtles, dolphins and bald eagles. Went kayaking, enjoyed the pool, went to the cute town of Mathew’s and enjoyed some local resultants. Will definitely be booking another trip soon!

Hidden Gem

We were looking for a property to relax and recharge as a family. This was perfect! It was very clean and well stocked with supplies. The neighborhood was so quiet; we felt as if we were the only ones there. The kids loved the pool and looking at fish and crabs on the dock. Highly recommend!

Amazing Family Vacation

Our party was comprised of 2 adult couples each with 1 child. We enjoyed the beautiful views, experiencing nature, and the many wildlife species we spotted at the property. Including bald eagles, a falcon, an otter, small sharks, and a show of dolphins in the distance at sunset. Our girls made very good use of the very nice pool and we had fun fishing out baby crabs who liked the pool as well :) . The house was very clean and comfortable and contained everything we needed to make the week perfect. Patti, the host, was extremely responsive and very pleasant and friendly. She even provided the name of a local crabber in case we didn't catch enough fresh crabs off the dock. We are so glad we found this beautiful rental and hope to return someday.
