Our Deltaville vacation.

Our vacation was about relaxing and fishing. Enjoyed every day doing just that. The house, Ships Watch on the Bay, had every thing you needed to have a good time.. I plan on going back again.

The house was absolutely beautiful! We really didn’t need to bring anything else besides food because Lisa kept the house super well stocked. The dock was so wonderful and we caught lots of blue crabs and fish right off the dock. Lisa was a very responsive host and made us feel right at home. We will definitely return to this property again!

Deltaville Delight

Weekend getaway did not disappoint! Stunning views on the water with private pier. Everything you need is there … fully stocked kitchen, games, books, bikes just to name a few. The host is easy to reach and communicate. Part of the blender was missing and Lisa had a new one at the house within a couple of hours. The beds are comfortable and we loved having the screened porch to relax for morning coffee or evening cocktails! Book it!!

Relaxing on the Bay

The property exceeded our expectations and was a wonderful getaway. We were looking for a peaceful spot to enjoy a little quiet and the location was perfect. What I wasn’t expecting was the amazing sunrises. I made sure I was awake for each one. I would definitely rent again!

Loved this experience! The view was spectacular! The house was a fantastic blend of old and new. Kitchen was well stocked and the chip jar on the counter was so welcoming. Linen and bathroom supplies were exceptional. The Bedroom options were perfect for an extended family vacation. The boys loved the dormer beds. The super soakers provided entertainment for the kids and adults! Bikes and kayaks, games and puzzles were enjoyed by everyone.The porch was our most favorite place to be together but we also enjoyed the dock experience. 5 Stars

Peaceful and Relaxing

Great property with amazing views and amenities on property. The town of Deltaville had all your essentials and the drive to and from Williamsburg/Yorktown, etc. is not that far. Great place to stay and the experience with the host was outstanding. The home had everything you needed and the wrap around porch and open windows provided a view of the bay at all times.

You will not be disappointed by the hospitality, amenities or view of Ships Watch! The weather was not great the week we stayed however we just needed some down time together with no distractions of work etc. We loved it and will definitely be back!

Heaven on Earth

Me and my husband spent our 20 year anniversary here. We could not of picked a better place! So clean and the decor was so adorable. Full stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds and amazing linens! I would say it was the best vrbo we have ever stayed!

Perfect weekend

We stayed at Ships Watch for Labor Day weekend and it was just what we needed. It is in a perfect location with fantastic views. We spent most of our time relaxing on the front porch. The house is exactly as pictured and Lisa was very communicative. We will definitely be back!

Fabulous place to stay!!

Ships Watch is stunning. The views are spectacular--with lots of places to enjoy them--the captains chairs on the pier, lawn chairs, awesome screened-in porch and nearly every room in the house. Beautifully decorated inside, with thoughtful touches for a wonderful stay. We had a group of six and it worked out great. Loved exploring this beautiful area. Highly recommend!!

Great stay on the bay

This was an especially nice place to stay. Very nicely modernized home with a spectacular view of the bay, especially at sunrise. Lots of extras, such as fully stocked crab pots and kayaks, along with lots of goodies inside. The owner was very flexible at the end when we had to stay extra to resolve a car problem, which we really appreciated. Highly recommend.

A beautiful trip to Deltaville

Ships Watch on the Bay was perfect for our friends getaway. The view from the house is spectacular, the house is beautiful, very clean and well appointed. We were very comfortable and super relaxed our whole stay. Lisa is very easy and friendly to work with. Great communication. We would absolutely stay again and hope to. Tranquility Awaits

Ships Watch on the Bay is beautiful and that's an understatement. My family and I went down for 5 days and it was one of the most relaxing vacations we have had in a long while. The panoramic views, the screened in porch for morning coffee, lunch or dinner, the manicured lot, all the games for inside and outside family fun and not to mention the fishing that my husband truly enjoyed! I have already booked 2 more trips...so that speaks for itself! I plan to make this location...if it's available one of my yearly destinations! Thank you Lisa for making your home so comfortable for others!

Perfect getaway

This was a perfect getaway for our family, including adult children and our small fur babies. We spent time crabbing, playing outside games and card games. Meals on the screened in porch when weather permitted. I can't imagine needing anything that wasn't readily provided to us. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, no hustle and bustle THIS is the place to be. We will return!! Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home.

Quiet getaway in a well-appointed home

We had a nice relaxing vacation with our two small dogs at this property. The screened porch was especially great, hanging out with the dogs who were barking at boats, drinking coffee and reading while listening to the water. The house is very well furnished and comfortable. The host was very responsive to emails. The only caveat is that Deltaville itself is very small, and the few restaurants are only open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, maybe Sunday, with the exception of the Chinese restaurant, which was mid at best. All that to say, be prepared to bring your own food and cook, if you're staying early in the week. There is a small grocery store nearby, and kitchen had everything we needed, so that was no problem for us. All in all, a great stay in a tiny quiet town.

Spring Break 2024

My husband and I wanted a getaway for ourselves, our daughter and son-in-law, and our two grandchildren (ages 8 & 10). We were familiar with the Topping area, but wanted a house where the Rappahannock River meets the Chesapeake Bay. Ship’s Watch was the perfect location, the house was amazing and Lisa was fantastic. The house was exactly as advertised…all of our needs were met ( actually exceeded our expectations). There were indoor and outdoor activities that kept everyone happy. The kitchen was well stocked, the house was very clean and the views of the water were superb. Lisa was very attentive and had excellent communication with us…from the moment of booking the property until we were headed home, after our stay. Thank you, Lisa. We look forward to another visit to Deltaville!

Lisa Englehart is a Richmond native who has resided in Deltaville for the past 16 years. She loves her community. Lisa is a seasoned real estate entrepreneur. She and her team manage the Teenie house, the Teenie Weenie, and Ships Watch on the Bay, which are all short term vacation rentals in Deltaville. Lisa strives to make sure her guests are pampered with a 5 Star Stay!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Location....Location....Location! It's a rare opportunity to be able to stay on the very tip of Stingray Point in Deltaville! In 1608, Captain John Smith was stung by a cownose stingray while fishing with his men at the mouth of the Rappahannock River. He was seriously injured by the sting and even gave orders to his men as to the disposal of his body should he perish. He recovered and named the point Stingray Point.

The Stingray Point Lighthouse was built in 1858 at the entrance to the Rappahannock River. It was deactivated in 1965 and dismantled shortly thereafter. The pilings are still in place and are now a buoy. The Stingray Point Lighthouse can be seen from Ships Watch. A replica of the lighthouse was built at the Safe Harbor Marina in Deltaville 1.6 miles west of the original site.

We love dogs! We allow up to 2 dogs 50 pounds and under with a small non refundable pet fee. The pets cannot be left unattended in the home unless they are in a crate. They must be house broke and not chew. If you have any questions send Lisa a message.
