Cozy Cottage 1 Chambre

Le nid d'oiseau appartient et est exploité par les propriétaires de Shalestone Vineyards. Situé dans un quartier calme au bord du lac juste en dessous du vignoble.

Le ravin profond et le ruisseau actif du côté nord offrent une intimité et un son apaisant.

Ce chalet récemment rénové a un plafond cathédrale enjambé par une grosse bûche de cerisier et accentué de branches de cerf de sumac. Toute la menuiserie est réalisée à partir d'arbres récoltés sur la propriété, (cèdre rouge et chêne blanc)
Les armoires de cuisine sont fabriquées à partir de tonneaux à vin.

Le lit queen-size a un dessus en mousse à mémoire de 3 'et fait face à une grande fenêtre donnant sur le lac. Détendez-vous au lit et écoutez les vagues qui clapotent ou attrapez le lever du soleil du matin sur la rive opposée.

Une grande terrasse longe tout le côté du lac du chalet et a un toit partiel pour la protection contre le soleil / la pluie.

75 pieds de plage privée, à 1 minute à pied de la plage ou en voiture pour décharger des kayaks, des glacières ou une petite remorque de bateau. Foyer extérieur, apportez votre propre bois. Parapluie et chaises fournis.

Les petits animaux sont acceptés, mais uniquement avec l'approbation des propriétaires. Frais de 100 $ pour le nettoyage et l'élimination des déchets. Non remboursable.

Les réservations effectuées en devises étrangères, le locataire est responsable des frais de change et doit informer le propriétaire avant d'effectuer le dépôt.

Cozy indeed

Great location Among the vineyards on the east side of Seneca Lake. When we first arrived, it smelled odd inside, but after airing it out, the odor faded perhaps nobody had stayed there for a while, and we couldn’t figure out if it was old cigarette smoke or some dampness. As said by others, the outside deck was fabulous. There was a nice new dock to swim off of the roadway, Below and Lakeside was full of junkie stuff the neighbors kept, but this cottage itself was nicely kept by the water as well as inside. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and spent most of the time on the upper deck. The bed was comfortable And the kitchen well stocked. Would recommend to a friend.

Beautiful place.

We loved this place. Very clean with lots of beautiful wood work. Private large dock over Seneca Lake. Lovely shaded deck on the back of the house overlooking the lake. A wonderful place to relax!!

Very cozy

Nice, cozy, comfortable cabin. The views were fabulous! We spent a lot of time sitting on the dock and swimming. In the evening we sat on the deck. Very relaxing!

Gorgeous views

The cottage is so clean and so beautiful! The woodwork is amazing. We were so relaxed sitting on the deck with our morning coffee and watching the sunset in the evening. The only problem I had was navigating the steps down to the beach, and that was only because I had sprained my ankle 2 weeks prior.

Stunning views of Seneca Lake

My husband and I spent a really enjoyable week in the Bird’s Nest. The views of Seneca Lake are great from the partially covered back deck as well as from the large dock, which has comfortable seating to view the sunsets. We would definitely stay here again. The one possible drawback for some travelers might be that the cottage is about a mile drive down a gravel roadway, so if you’re someone who likes to pop into your rental throughout the day, this might not be the best option for you. The slow drive is through vineyards, though, so it is very scenic! The owners of this rental also own Shalestone Vineyards, and if you like dry red wine, make a reservation for a tasting. You will not be disappointed!

Relaxing Week

We stayed for 7 nights and it was amazing. The view from the deck of the water was beautiful. The place was perfect for 2 people and our dog. It was close to a lot of wineries and hiking. I highly recommend it.

Great location and view, could've been cleaner

Location and view are great. Cozy cottage and private dock were wonderful for a relaxing weekend. However, upon arrival there were many live stink bugs, woodland roaches and ants that needed to be cleaned up. They were mostly hiding in the blinds of the sliding door and once we figured that out we got all of them. I understand having occasional bugs in a wooded area but this seemed more like the cabin hadn't been cleaned prior to our arrival because the rest of our stay we didn't see any bugs. The bedroom and bathroom seemed reasonably clean, just dusty.

Great stay at Seneca Lake

This was a great find right on Seneca Lake. It was a great location for getting to Watkins Glen, the Seneca Lake wine trail and other spots in the finger lakes region. The cottage was very comfortable and cute and with access to the beach by the water. The firepit and dock were great for relaxing by the water. We did some closeby waterfall hikes and visited a few winery/breweries. Would definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous Fall Foliage

The Bird's Nest was a perfect place to hang out in October this year. The view from the porch overlooking the lake and trees was magnificent. The cabin was well equiped with everything we needed. The woodwork and rustic touches made it a fun place to stay. Kate even opened the winery on a closed day so we could bring some "reds" back to IL. So glad we found this place.

The Bird's Nest is cozy and comfortable- the deck and the view of Seneca Lake are just wonderful! Rob and Kate were very helpful and friendly, she even went out of her way to mail a personal belonging of mine that I had left behind. So much to do and see in the area, we highly recommend this cottage get-a-way.

Bird’s Nest

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bird’s Nest. Just the right space for two. The view from the deck and living area are beautiful. Great spot to watch the sunset. Bed was comfortable with plenty of blankets and towels in the bathroom. There isn’t an oven, but we didn’t plan on cooking so it wasn’t as problem. There is a toaster oven available. We’d definitely come back for another stay.
