Keuka Lakefront Getaway with private beach and amazing waterfront views
Beautiful home on the east side of Keuka Lake. Like new with many amenities including A/C, front door parking, amazing views and easy lake access. Convenient location to wineries, restaurants and more
We had so much fun on our vacation here! The beach area was a good size, enjoyed a fire in the fire pit. Neighborhood was very quiet, courteous neighbors. The home was as beautiful as the photos show. We really enjoyed ourselves!
This was a beautiful home that we loved staying at. It was off season so it was a little slow around the area but that was nice for our getaway. My boyfriend said he wants to own a house like this one day. Thank you for allowing us to stay here, we had a great time!
My husband and I stayed at the property for three nights. It was perfect for the two of us and the location was awesome. Would definitely stay there again!
Exactly what we were looking for! perfect place for some peace & quiet by beautiful Keuka Lake!! Such a lovely place, so clean and amazing views from every level!! Simple check in/out.
Very clean, very nice, very modern house. Right on the water with a picnic table, grill, and fire pit right on the beach. Very nice lake getaway for a couple. The house is very nice, but probably best for young/fit people because there are A LOT of stairs. Going from bedroom, to dining area, to sitting area, to beach and toting stuff like a cooler or some wood down to the water is a workout. Not a deal breaker, still very nice for the price, but you will definitely get your steps in! Great place to just chill by the lake and swim, or just a short trip to Hammondsport for some great food and fun.
We can understand that the steep bank facing the water needs foliage to help prevent erosion. However, possibly some strategic trimming/ removal of some branches would enhance the scenic views. Many views seemed blocked by the trees.
I would also wish to add how wonderful the place smelled when walking in each time. The smell of the wood was refreshing. I really appreciated how clean everything was as well.
The house was pleasant and beautiful. Pine tongue and groove And it was appointed well to make your stay comfortable and serviceable. A wine cooler and full refrigerator. An electric cook top plus a convection oven. A toaster and Keurig coffee maker. Plus a variety of amenities to make the traveler feel at home. When you went down to the sitting (living) room you felt like you were sneaking down into your own secret hide-a-way.
ButâŠwe were very disappointed in the âamazing waterfront view.â
The property was promoted as having an âamazing waterfront viewâ which we looked forward to. It rained on and off for the three days we were there and one day was basically all rainy and dreary. No problem, we are senior citizens and the most we would have been doing is dangling our feet in the water off the dock. Our purpose was a couple days away by the water enjoying the water view. Since we didnât get much time down by the water we looked forward to lounging around and watching the water from the kitchen, the sitting room or the small screened in porch all of which had huge windows looking out at the water. But that was a bust.
It seems the photos showing the waterfront view were taken in the winter when there were no leaves on the trees. The whole waterfront side of the house is filled to above the roof with trees. At this time of year the trees are in bloom and you could hardly see water except maybe a porthole view thru a few branches. Which was very disappointing.
The space is small, but well-equipped, clean and in great condition. Bed was comfortable, wifi was great. Kitchen is really a kitchenette with only a dorm-sized fridge (but was honestly large enough for our needs) and the microwave is also a convection oven. So it's small but quite sufficient!
A few things to know before you go:
1) There is no way to get a kayak down to the lake. The only access is by the stairs. No nearby launch site that we could find.
2) There may be parking for 2 cars, but it was only large enough for 1 full-sized pickup.
Would we go again knowing what we know now? Aboslutely!
