The town is also renowned for the Tempio Carnival, one of the island's oldest and liveliest celebrations, and for its wine-growing tradition, especially in the production of Vermentino. The locality of San Pasquale has grocery shops, bars and newsagents. The nearest restaurants are in Porto Pozzo, a 7-minute drive (4.8 km) away, where there are bars and a pharmacy. The beautiful beach of Porto Liscia is only 6.7 km away and there is convenient free parking. Also in the area, easily reachable in a short time are the Nuraghi di Mosconi, di Ciajinu, di Barrabisa, and the Tomba dei giganti di Monte S'Ajacciu. Porto Pollo, an ideal destination for windsurfers, is only 9 km away. Palau is 11 km away while Santa Teresa di Gallura is only 17 km away.
