This beautifully furnished 2-bedroom, 2-bath lakefront home sits on a private acre in the heart of the Champlain Valley, with show-stopping west-facing views across the lake to Mount Independence and Fort Ticonderoga.

Inside, you’ll find a spacious living room with stunning water views, dining area to accommodate 4-8, a full well appointed kitchen, and a large light-filled sunroom with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the lake like a painting. The home is comfortably furnished throughout, fully air-conditioned, and equipped with Bath & beach towels and all bedding essentials, lots of pillows, and comforters. a washer/dryer for longer stays. While the layout offers two bedrooms, with new king beds-the home easily sleeps 6–8 with shared sleeping arrangements — perfect for multi-generational trips or groups of friends.

We had a great stay at this wonderful property. Home was lovely, clean, bright,well-equipped and peaceful. We cooked dinner each night and slept well after having adventures each day. Great views of Lake Champlain and historic sites. Owner is thoughtful and responsive. Will return.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this fantastic property! The home itself was absolutely lovely, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing trip.From the very beginning, the host was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and easy to reach. Communication was seamless throughout our entire stay, making the whole check-in and check-out process completely stress-free. We truly enjoyed every minute of our time here and are already hoping to return again in the future. Highly recommended!

The property has a to-die-for view of Lake Champlain including Fort Ticonderoga and Mount Independence. Being there in the Fall was stunning. Although we were before the full foliage season, watching the burn off of the morning mist was delightful. Two bald eagles and an osprey kept us entertained as they hunted the waters right outside the house. The walk down to the lakefront is further down than you ‘d think but the steps are well built and there is not an accessibility issue. If you bring your own kayaks there is a public boat launch within 1/4 mile that will be much easier for launch. As described, there are 6(?) kayaks that can be used that are down near the lake. The house is cozy with LOTs of couches & chairs for lounging. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking and there was a new grill for outside. The bedrooms were well sized and the beds comfy. Lori was easy to get hold of for the occasional question. We had two dogs who enjoyed roaming the waterfront. The lane on which the property is located is dirt and a nice place to walk the dogs. 30 minutes to Vergennes and some fine dining and about the same to Middlebury; a cute college town to explore. You MUST take the delightful ferry across to Fort Ticonderoga! All in all a very special place for R&R.

Amazing lake & sunset views, great host!!This was our first time renting this property, and we had a great time. We were 4 adults for 3 nights and plenty of room. The house is very private, and the enclosed sun porch is so inviting and a comfortable sleeping space if needed. Each room has a wonderful view of Lake Champlain (incl Fort Ticonderoga &Mt Defiance). The beds in each bedroom were very comfortable, and each room has its own temp control! The fact that this house has 2 bathrooms is also great, and the owner provided more than enough bath towels and linens (which is often not the case with other lake-geared rentals). The owner also paid a lot of attention to detail with respect to the amenities and furnishings. The kitchen was very well stocked with all appliances one could need (eg, coffee maker, electric kettle, and more than enough glasses / mugs / dish ware / utensils, etc.).The owner also provided binoculars and plenty of games / puzzles as well. Also must mention what a treat it was to not be tasked with gathering / washing bed linens / towels at the end of our stay (Note: perhaps it would be different for longer stays). Also, there are numerous areas / sights relatively close-by, as well as a wonderful little car ferry 5mins away that drops you near Ticonderoga. and a historic passenger ferry nearby which is also worth checking out, and there are several lake access points in either direction. The owner was very kind, accommodating, and incredibly responsive.

We came to Shoreham as a group of teammates for a trip that had very little to do with vacationing. We wanted to surround our coach, who is facing stage-four cancer, with the calm and familiarity he loves. His family had a serene cabin in northern Wisconsin, and we hoped this home might bring back some of that feeling. At one point, he looked around and simply said, “It feels like home.” That was the best thing we could have asked for.The house made that possible. The sunroom overlooking Lake Champlain became the natural heart of our stay, with the water, mountains, and changing sunset always in view. Every room feels thoughtfully curated but never staged warm, comfortable, and easy to live in. The well-equipped kitchen, generous bedding, flexible sleeping spaces, towels, washer and dryer, and other practical touches made settling in as a group effortless. Outside, the quiet lawn, garden, meadow, private lakefront, and kayaks gave us space both to gather and to step away and breathe.The host was thoughtful, accommodating, responsive, and easy to reach throughout our stay. We felt genuinely cared for without ever feeling hovered over.This home gave us something difficult to capture in a rating, a peaceful place to be fully present with someone we care deeply about. We are incredibly grateful for the care behind it.

Accurate to listing description with many little details / extras . Beach towels , kayaks, basic spices and well equipped kitchen . A very nice place to relax and unplug from daily hussle of life . Note no TV but good internet connection. The view was beautiful and the fact that we could bring our pets made it a worry free and relaxing weekend for my family.
