Si vous cherchez une retraite de montagne tranquille et isolée, c'est votre endroit. La maison, sur Eagle Lake, se trouve sur 11 acres de terrain et appartient à la famille depuis la fin des années 1800. La maison d'origine construite en 1891 a été remplacée par un camp / chalet moderne dans les années 1960 et a été récemment mise à jour

Les vues et les couchers de soleil sont à couper le souffle! Passez une journée dans le fort historique de Ticonderoga et découvrez son rôle important à l'époque coloniale.

Si vous aimez faire du kayak, de la randonnée, de la natation ou de la voile, Eagle Lake est l'endroit idéal. L'accès rapide au bord du lac se fait par étapes ou par un chemin. (tous deux assez raides)

Une excursion d'une journée à Burlington Vermont pour visiter le musée Shelburne ou un déjeuner et des achats à Lake Placid sont toujours un régal. Montréal est de 2 à 4 heures en voiture ou en train - Amtrak a un arrêt à Ticonderoga. Le musée Adirondack de Blue Mountain Lake est également un incontournable.

Une cuisine à jour, une grande chambre principale et une grande terrasse ne sont que quelques points forts. Le rez-de-chaussée a également 2 futons queen confortables qui sont parfaits pour les invités inattendus. L'été est magnifique sur le lac, mais ne manquez pas le feuillage d'automne --- voyez les belles couleurs d'automne en naviguant sur le lac Champlain sur le Carillon, un bateau de 60 pieds au départ de Fort Ticonderoga.

Bien que nous acceptions les animaux (un animal de préférence), ne laissez pas votre animal seul si vous êtes absent pour la journée. Veuillez garder les animaux domestiques hors des meubles ou de la literie et ramasser les déchets de jardin. Le nettoyeur vérifiera les rayures et autres dommages au départ

Terrific private location at the top of the lake. Nice breeze the whole week. New stairs down to the waterfront are well built. Very nice to be a part of the historic property. Feels like a home, not just a rental property.

Relaxing family vacation

This is a beautiful Adirondack property. The home has everything you need to be comfortable. Especially enjoyed the old books including the ones about the history of the property. Kayaks and canoe were great for enjoying the lake and fishing. We heard the loons calling in the evenings—something calming and magical about hearing them out on the lake.

Beautiful Fall foliage vacation.

The house on Eagle lake is fantastic. The view looks down the lake and we enjoyed canoeing and kayaking on the lake. We visited Fort Ticonderoga (15 min away) So interesting with so much history and beautiful views. We also visited Putnam ponds for a hike to hidden little lakes. (10 min away) We drove an hour and 10 min to hike Mt Jo near lake placid. Next time we will visit Lake George or Burlington also close by. This house is in a great location. The house itself is charming with comfortable beds, a kitchen with everything you need to cook and a great deck looking over the lake. This one is special, you won't be disappointed.

BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY

Hubby and I really enjoyed this property. The views of the lake are gorgeous! The canoe and kayaks are fun to use. Hubby was out fishing twice a day. The sound of the loons was perfect. This place is like "Golden Pond". The house is equipped with everything we needed. The only reason I did not give this property 5 stars is because I thought the exterior of the house could use a good cleaning. The views are so beautiful but I could not help notice the dirty windows.

Most relaxing vacation ever!

We just finished our second stay in this house and love everything about it. I wish I was back there right now! It's private, has a great view, and is located on a crystal clear lake. No cell service or wifi but plenty of books, games, and nature. The kitchen is well supplied and had everything we needed. It's very close to the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness Area with lots of good hiking. On good weather days we took our beach chairs down to the rocky ledge on the point and swam, paddled kayaks, or just floated around looking at the osprey and bald eagles overhead. Although the house feels remote, it is only about 15 minutes to the Walmart Supercenter in Ticonderoga in case you forget anything.

The stay was good. We were surprised that there were no towels and sheets. That would be ok if we were taking a road trip, but my husband and I traveled from Utah. We did find a few sheets and towels. We also bought a few things from Walmart. We left the towels there. I'm glad we figured out how to reach the owners, someone we could talk to. Our friend saw some mold in the bathroom downstairs, but I did not use the bathroom downstairs. It was a house in the woods, and some of that stuff is to be expected along with a few spiders. I just killed a couple. All in all, it was a good stay. Thanks so much.

Nice stay on the lake

Stayed for a week and had a good time. We only slept at the house, we had another rental up the road on lake George. This does have lake access and the water is low so it would be a great spot for small kids to be able to play in the shallow water. The walk down to the water has steep stairs. You’ll 1000% not want to take a car to this home. It is a camp road so you really do need an suv or truck to get through. Main floor has a master and then downstairs in the basement is 2 bedrooms. There is zero internet or cell service at this property. It was about 3miles down the road heading into town that we were able to get it. There is a house landline available while at the house along with cable.

I don't want to tell you how amazing this place is...

because it might book up even faster, and we NEED to come back! This house is incredible and honestly, a bit magical. With Eagle Lake being right outside your window, and visible from almost every window, there are guaranteed views of beauty everywhere you look. It's also exceptionally comfortable inside. The bed is luxurious, the kitchen is comfortable to cook in, and the absence of cell service and WIFI is an absolute relief. It's quiet, and this is what we needed when we arrived. Communication with Susan was easy and prompt, and the house had everything we needed. We enjoyed frequent hikes and took the kayaks out, and also made time to explore the area along with taking big chunks of time to do absolutely nothing. We enjoyed a fantastic stay and really do hope to return very soon. Thank you for having us!

House just as described, water crystal clear, dogs loved the water, lawn perfect for family croquet, canoes, lots to do in the area - Fort Ticonderoga, a ride on the Essex Ferry, Paradox Brewery - WOW has it grown! The lilies on arrival were just lovely.

Great short vacation

Loved the house and the beautiful lake view!!! Enjoyed relaxing on the patio, canoeing on the lake, and playing board games and cards at night. No internet or cell phone service, and Harris Point Road to the house is scary in spots! Wished we had brought our 4-Wheel drive instead of the minivan, but we did manage to get in and out every time:). Local attractions such as the Star Trek Experience and Fort Ticonderoga are listed as 0.1 miles and 1.8 miles away, but are actually closer to 10 miles away. We loved the house, and would like to return someday!! Very relaxing!

Wonderful and remote!

A terrific get away for my husband and me. Very close to many trailheads and Lake Placid. It was a bonus that there were kayaks included with the rental. Plenty of space for a larger family and a fully stocked kitchen with any pot, pan or utensil you could ever desire! No internet or cell service so we really could “check-out” from our day to day stress! Thank you!

Great vacay

We had a great time in Ticonderoga. The house was rustic but very cozy with beautiful lake views from every room. Enjoyed morning yoga on the deck, kayaking in the afternoon, wine by the lake and sitting around the fire at night. Enjoyed the provided board games and puzzles. Enjoyed nights in cooking with the family. The surrounding area of Ti was great, lots of hiking and history and of course the Star Trek Museum!

Wonderful, peaceful lake house getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful week at the lake, with lots of family fun like games and puzzles, good food fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, and other activities close at hand. It was a perfect place for a family get-together. The house and property were well-appointed and we especially enjoyed learning about the history of the location. Susan, the owner, was extremely helpful in answering questions before we went, and we were grateful to her for her prompt replies. All in all, an outstanding experience for everyone during a difficult time!
